Never got my order.
I ordered from Baobab Sample Sale on July 18 (almost 7 weeks ago) and never got my order. And I notice they delete comments on Instagram if you try to question about this which is giving scammer company.
I understand delays can happen but after seeing the reviews from here I don’t believe it’s just a delay.

Placed 2 orders- one for Kevyn Aucoin makeup and brushes totaling $473.20 and Baobab for a $365.00 a month ago now. Emailed customer service about the status of the orders, as I didn’t receive any updates coming up on a month now. The story was that it’s still coming from the brand and it’s stuck in customs. Finally, received an email that the make up was shipped- I was so excited! Kept track of the shipment through UPS, one delivery date turned into another at a later date, to ending up transferring to the USPS for final delivery. It said “delivered at mailbox” finally, to not finding any package- not in mailbox or anywhere around. Immediately went to file a claim with UPS who would not be able to take my claim and referred me to contact the vendor. Contacted Miami Sample Sale, they referred me back to get in touch with USPS as they are no longer responsible for package after it says “delivered”. I asked why it’s first UPS the USPS chain? They sent a printed explanation how it works. I tried to file a claim with USPS and they would not accept it online. Had to go in person to try trace it- and they are trying to work on it. Meanwhile, Miami Sample Sale said at most they can do is honor $100 because that’s how much insurance will cover. Long story short- month later, no make up and second order not even shipped. Today I wake up to an email that the second order was canceled?! It’s so frustrating! I’m going to file a claim with the bank and get my money back. Not sure if other people experience something different, but sharing my experience here and anywhere I can leave a review.

I placed a $103 order for Baobao Swim and the very next day a $91 order for Monday Swim. The website states that items will be delivered within 4 weeks. I had a vacation coming up 6 weeks away so thought this would be plenty of time. It's now been 4 weeks and my items are still MIA. I've emailed their customer service, who has been super responsive and helpful, however I keep being told that the items were mailed late from the brands, then stuck in customs, etc. etc. and they still have no idea when my items might arrive. I asked if they could guarantee they would arrive in 6 weeks, just in time for my vacation, but they said they could not guarantee that they would arrive by then. I asked for cancellations for both of my orders which they did give. The fact that this happened with both orders from different brands makes me think its an issue with Miami Sample. Such a shame to wait a month and I will never receive the items I wanted.

Disgusting customer service, my package took 24 days to come and was an expensive order and it came missing a product. I wrote an email stating I was upset my order wasn’t complete not knowing they didn’t send all my products in different packages and asked for help, then I was harassed by the customer service agent Matt, screaming in capital letters and being extremely rude to me. Horrible way to speak to a customer who was just concerned about her order. When I only claimed that after paying $71 dollars for an order it comes without an item. And he proceeds to still be rude. I am only a teenager and I was excited order from them with my savings, that’s why I was concerned when it came incomplete. I’m disgusted and I will never shop from here again and I’ll make sure everyone I know in Miami doesn’t either.

Not a bot review - Miami Sample had my favorite glass company, Akila.LA in stock for a crazy price and I couldn’t help myself but to buy. The shopping was a bit. Slow, but sure enough it came. Thanks much.

They do giveaways for almost every sale they do and never follow through. I’ve spoken with several giveaway winners (from different giveaways) and they all say they never received their prizes. It’s almost like they just do it for engagement on their Instagram. I won a giveaway back in September of 2023 and it’s now almost March of 2024 and still haven’t received anything. I’ve emailed several times and all they say is “our warehouse is backed up and we’ll reach out to the founder”. Well that doesn’t do anything because there is no prize. It’s all fake. This company is extremely unethical and lies to its customers.

I spent about $300 on a “sample sale” 7 weeks ago. The specific sale said it would take 1-4 weeks to ship because they hadn’t received items from the company yet. I wanted to give them ample time before bothering them especially with it being the holidays, but finally started to try to contact them as I’ve received no items and no updates. Messaged them for a week on instagram with no response. Emailed them and received an update that five of the six items I ordered were out of stock (they were swimsuit sets so it didn’t matter that one item was in stock when it’s matching piece was not). Not sure why it took me reaching out nearly two months later to receive that info, but okay. I have asked for a refund which is now being processed, but again - not sure why it took ME reaching out 7 weeks later when they’ve had hundreds of dollars of mine and knew they had no items for me. I’ve ordered from them two other times - one time was great (no issues) and the other I had issues with shipping and customer service as well, but not nearly to this extent and I did receive those items eventually. Very frustrated with their service and starting to get a “scammy” vibe from them after reading others reviews as well.

EDIT: After commenting on their Instagram with my experience, I’ve been blocked and received an email from them claiming I was “commenting slander on [their] posts.” They also threatened to cancel a different existing order I have with them. Any “slander” they’re claiming is factual (i.e. not slander) and can be fully proved with emails. They’re just being tacky at this point.

I’ve had two orders canceled by Miami Sample in the last month because they couldn’t fulfill them with the merchant. Both orders were from different sales and contained one item each.

I had to follow up on each of the orders after waiting 6+ weeks without an update. One order was canceled after the initial email and I was told the other would be coming when they got the rest of the stock… two weeks later, nothing. I followed up for an update and this order was also canceled because they couldn’t fulfill it. I don’t know how long my orders would’ve been left “unfulfilled” had I not reached out.

They’re accepting money but can’t fulfill the orders and there’s zero communication from their end! I won’t be placing any future orders now that this has happened multiple times - I can’t trust their business practices.

I paid monthly for their Vice membership which includes free shipping on all orders. For every order I made, I had to contact them for a refund on the shipping costs - not a big deal, just annoying that it’s not automatic.

Just received my first order from Miami Sample and I’m really happy! It was a good deal, the items I received are really high quality, and lastly the package came faster than advertised. Happy camper!
