Fully satisfied with the product but delay in UK delivery due to slow communication from UK delivery partner. Whilst I was aware that some customs duty would be payable, I was surprised by import VAT of £39.76 and a clearance fee of £12.00 in addition - adding a total of £66.48 to the cost of the shoes.

Great product and speedy service, but I did not realise the high fees for customs in the UK so VERY expensive!

I was visiting Paris for just a couple of days and had been searching for a very specific Mephisto model and size that’s nearly impossible to find. I’ve tried in several countries without success. When I discovered it available online in France, I was thrilled. The challenge, however, was getting it delivered, since most stores understandably don’t ship to hotels.

The Mephisto France customer service team was absolutely outstanding. They patiently worked with me, first offering to ship to one of their stores. When that proved difficult, they went a step further and arranged delivery to a post office just two minutes from my hotel using Colissimo. It was smooth and stress-free.

Throughout the process, the team answered all of my emails with patience, professionalism, and kindness. I truly felt like they cared about helping me, not just completing a transaction.

Of course, Mephisto shoes are brilliant, especially for travel and city walking. But what made this experience remarkable was the level of service. I can't say enough good things about the Mephisto France support!

Quality good but had to return due to poor fit

I placed an order last week and whenever I look for the update of my order it says that it is still in order. i tried sending them an email but it keeps getting rejected. Tried calling, no answer.

I’ve had 7 pairs of shoes from All Rounder - all a 39/6.5. I ordered two pairs in a 39 and was sent a 5.5 for both. Had to return at my own cost and customer service just kept sending excerpts from the website re feet measuring. Refused to take account of my point that all of my previous shoes were a 39/6.5 and they have clearly changed something now that their 39 appears to be a full size smaller. Won’t order again.
Edit: there is no free return service for UK returns. Your website specifically states that, as does the paperwork that came with the shoes.

I was shocked to find extra cost of£80 to import the shoes. I declined the payment and and the Royal Mail are returning the shoes. I am now waiting for a refund to my account. If this doesn’t happen l will report it to my credit card department of Lioyds bank. Just buyer beware!!!!

Mephisto’s shoes might have a reputation for comfort, but my experience with their sizing and customer service was an absolute letdown. I ordered a pair of their much-hyped Violaine - Chili , expecting a stylish, comfortable fit. Paid $299. Instead, the shoes arrived noticeably smaller than expected—despite ordering the usual size and double-checking their sizing chart. It’s as if their measurements are from another planet. Wearing them felt like squeezing into a vise, completely negating any promise of “all-day comfort.”

The real sting came with their return process. Not only do they refuse to offer exchanges (in 2025, really?), but they also have the audacity to charge for returns if you opted for economy shipping. This policy is nothing short of customer-hostile and makes zero sense—penalizing buyers for choosing a budget-friendly option is a slap in the face. It’s clear Mephisto prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. The return process itself was a hassle, with vague instructions and slow response times from their support team, leaving me out of pocket and without a usable pair of shoes.

Save your money and shop elsewhere. Plenty of brands offer quality footwear without the sizing roulette and predatory return policies. Mephisto’s lack of flexibility and customer care turned what should’ve been a simple purchase into a costly frustration.

I have not yet received the shoes. They were ordered on 10th April.

I bought two pairs of shoes of the same size. Both are walking shoes and yet they are extremely different in terms of size! It has been very difficult to buy Mephistos in France, which is my adopted country.

In USA I visited Mephisto store in Chicago often (4 times per year) and was easily able to buy shoes there. However, in France it seems the sizing is very different and you dont make many strong support shoes for women, and which are available in Paris. (Whereas in USA there were so many options!)

There is no customer service to speak of. Positive reviews are nonsense, who has the time or desire to brag about the shoes they purchased? When you're unhappy because somethings wrong it's a natural response to tell the world to be aware that the company lacks empathy! The response to me here from Mephisto was obviously automatically generated and does not address anything I have said. My position stands " There is No Customer Service at Mephisto !!!!!!!!!!!!

Both stores: 17 Rue de Chartres, Neuilly-sur-Seine and 116 Avenue du Général Leclerc were very courteous and helpful. After buying three pair, I came home and purchased a fourth. 🥾.

I have narrow feet. Even so, and after buying half a size more than I usually wear (as I usually wear thick socks in winter), I find the bootie too straight/narrow, it doesn't respect the shape of the foot and is uncomfortable. I have taken them to the cobbler to be shaped (luckily the leather is of good quality) and they have been shaped a bit, but not enough to consider them comfortable, they are still narrow and in general I feel the foot compressed.
Also the zip on the inside of the boot makes it difficult to put them on, it's hard to get your foot in.
I won't buy on-line again without trying the shoe on first.

I returned a pair of shoes in August 2024 via Evri at a cost of £16 including insurance. I had confirmation from Mephisto that my return arrived on 16 September and a refund would take a couple of days. Despite me following up by email no refund has been paid and today is 21 January. I have called UK customer service several times and always been cut off. When I call back there is nobody available to take my call
