Prompt arrival and a thorough inspection by Andrew. Really recommend!

Very disappointing experience.

We called this company for a **specific drainage issue** identified by their own engineer (a blockage between the grease trap and pipework). We paid the call-out fee in advance as required.

A second engineer attended but **did not carry out any work**. Instead, he left after a brief visit and later sent a quotation for **extensive additional works** (including full system cleaning and pipework replacement), which were not relevant to the original issue.

We were then told that the work could not be carried out because the kitchen was in operation — however, this was not raised at the time of booking, and the location of the blockage is not within the active kitchen area.

Importantly, we brought in another drainage company, who **resolved the blockage in approximately 28 minutes** without any of the additional works that had been proposed.

The issue therefore remains that we have **paid for a service that was not delivered**, and our request for a refund has been refused.

Attempts to resolve this with the office were not handled professionally and the call ended without any resolution.

We would strongly recommend that others clarify the exact scope of work and expectations in advance.

The engineer identified how to resolve the problem with my taps. He has suggested replacing my taps. A prompt and helpful response to the issue I had.

Fantastic service from Andrew at Mayfair Plumber. He unblocked my kitchen sink quickly and professionally, great workmanship and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Had James the Boiler Engineer attend my old and unreliable boiler , WOW what a professional and cleaver man he is , has my hot water up and running within the hour , very professional service , would fully recommend James , I won’t be using anyone else xx Well done James you are a credit to the Company

Great experience with Andrew from Mayfair plumbers. Gave us plenty of notice of his arrival, came on time and carried out his work professionally and efficiently. He looked at our gas hob and taps and provided advice on repairs and maintenance on top of the work carried out. Would definitely use Mayfair plumbers again!

Ricky the engineer who addressed the issue was very professional took time to explain the problem provided options to solve and walked me through what needed to be completed and helped me to learn a few new skills to help with the basics. I would very much recommend.

Plumber arrived, he did apologise for not giving us a courtesy call prior. Diagnosed problem and went away to source part, he realised that he needed something further, he did stop the clock for his second visit to supplier. Repair carried out efficiently and he tested that repair held up, left area clean and tidy.

Very polite and communicated clearly. Would recommend.

First thing to recommend…. Shop around. Mayfair obviously have agents to jump on Checkatrade jobs… they call almost instantly, take your bank card number so no way to cancel, and then a job that other plumbers later quoted for £75, cost me over £120!
I had a syphon replaced and provided the part. It works and isn’t faulty. However, I noticed a leak coming from underneath the cistern. Mayfair sent another plumber to me and he attached a sealant tape. It still leaks. After numerous calls, I was told that as I provided the part, it is not under guarantee but the part works! I have now been told that I need a new flush pipe. Surprise surprise, not the syphon that’s faulty. There was no leak prior to the syphon replacement so the flush pipe has been damaged which is no fault of my one but that of the Mayfair plumber! They want to charge for this. I wonder what they will break and charge me for next if they were to replace the flush pipe! I’m am in the process of escalating my complaint to the relevant trades body as I feel that the ethics of this company is somewhat off. I have internal cameras that will prove any conversations that took place, including what I was allegedly advised by the plumber (according to the invoice) - a chat that never happened!! This will involve contacting the metropolitan police to have footage released under the data protection act, which is rather excessive so I am hoping it will not come to that!
**edit** as per the reply from Mayfair….. I will have video evidence proving that there was never any mention of any potential issues with a flush pipe or any other expected problems come to that. And how amazing it is that now I have a leak, there is a flush pipe issue. I am now seeking legal advice.

The service provided by Tony was very prompt and professional. He was very helpful and did a great job. Will use again. We were only a bit surprised about the cost as we expected the cost to be within £500 but ended up being more than expected. Otherwise the service was good though.

Booked Mayfair Plumbers to install a sink and taps. I paid £144 (incl. VAT) upfront for the first hour and was told in advance that the plumber would have standard fittings (waste, flexis) in the van, as I had already purchased the sink and taps.

On arrival, the plumber said parts were missing and left site to go to Screwfix.

Despite this being due to a lack of basic fittings, I was charged for the time away. Ring doorbell footage shows he was off site for around 46 minutes, despite this later being disputed.

I also experienced a leak after installation, despite being told the sink would be “usable”. A sink that leaks when used is not usable in any reasonable sense.

Overall, the job was far more expensive than expected, accountability was poor, and the experience was frustrating. I would not use this company again.

Excellent service, job completed to a high standard . The plumber was had a very nice personable manner and explained clearly my options and was prompt and punctual. This is the second time I have used this firm and would definitely recommended.

Great and professional service from Billy on the phone, helped connect me with an engineer to resolve my boiler fault, even gave me an invoice while the engineer was there to make sure I had all the information I could need!

Late callout and sorted the same evening! Oruc attended and got our boiler up and running within a few hours, fully explained the process and pros and cons!
