Cannot remove seat base

Cannot remove seat base! Followed manufacturer instructions, watched countless YouTube vids, ended up digging the button out with a screwdriver and drenching the mechanism in wd40. The button to remove the base still won’t ‘click’ GRRRRRRR! Got a new car seat which I now can’t install - I’m furious - spent hours trying to get this piece of garbage to work. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! (The ratings here on trust pilot tell you everything you need to know!) ‘😡

Design and manufacture is not fit for purpose!!

In 2019 I purchased a Maxi Cosi Titan child car safety seat. The head piece broke and was sent back to Maxi Cosi for repair. Based on their response, I purchased a second seat. My reason was that as a foster carer, keeping other people’s children safe whilst in our care is paramount.

In 2021 both seats failed in exactly the same way i.e. the head piece broke. Once again I sent these seats for repair. Once again, the repair was carried out. At this point I was very happy with the service once again.

In April 2023 the head piece of seat broke in the same way once again. I was asked to pay £90.00 for the repair as the seat was no longer under guarantee. The cost of a new seat is £189.99.

I couldn’t bring myself to scrap the seat as the rest of the seat was still in good condition. Subsequent reading of their web site revealed that repairs do not extend the warranty. So, I reluctantly paid this even though the cost of a new seat was just over double this.

I have written to the CEO Mr Ingmar VAN DEN BERG but as yet have had no response. In conclusion I am appalled that a 3 time failure of a safety product is not considered a subject of recall and redesign by Maxi Cosi

Maxi Cosi Kore Pro - bad product by the worst company

Bought a Maxi Cosi Kore Pro for my daughter when she was 4. In two years became unusable.
It is not adapted to a growing kid, as the cover is constantly pilling off from the backrest as by design it becomes wider in shape. It's basically a course to use it, when she is almost 6.

Maxi Cosi don't give a damn, because your warranty is expired in two years, while they don't recognise its faulty design. They hide in the bushes, when you write them, and don't bother responding, after their standard comments on their site.

Bad company, bad design, bad user experience,
If I had the time, I would go thermonuclear on them.

Paid and received nothing, waste of time

I contacted Maxi-Cosi to order a replacement part on Aug 24th and paid via a payment link they sent me.

As of 15th Sep I have still not received the part. I've been in contact with their customer support throughout this time who have given me lots of explanations for the delay and delivery estimates, none of which have been met.

I am now stuck in a loop where whenever I contact Maxi-Cosi, they tell me the item will arrive the following day. When it doesn't arrive I contact them again and they tell me it will arrive the next day, etc...

A complete waste of time and money. Avoid!

Do Not purchase from Maxi cosi

Do Not purchase from Maxi cosi. Bought a car seat - Maxi cosi Beryl approx 38 months ago , has been installed in our vehicle since this date with a toddler using it < 3days per week , he has now moved into a bigger booster and so as I was about to give it to his younger sister to use decided to wash the cover. More than horrified when took the cover off it to wash for the first time to find styrofoam cracked all the way through on one side of seat despite never having been in an accident nor the seat having been dropped. Seat now unsafe and useless …placed a review on their site as would not recommend or buy from them ever again, clearly flimsy product and I’m aware the seat in question now also gets a poor review on which.com which it didn’t at the time of purchase … disappointingly of course they refuse to publish this review as they only want to post positive reviews thus misleading parents. Please proceed with caution !!!

If the support rods are broken, it is a sign of excellent quality.

Hello. Can you explain the meaning of your warranty for a period of 24 months for your pushchairs. I bought a Maxi-Cosi Gia pushchair for my child through amazon, the child was 2 years old at the time, but after 8 months both support bars broke (the child was 3 years old at the time, weight about 17kg) . I sent you proof of purchase and pictures of what happened. You replied that "The extensive damage highlighted does not represent a manufacturing defect." ?! What did you mean by that? I was carrying a child in a pushchair, and to overcome the obstacle I lifted the pram, it rested on the rear wheels and support bars, and you want to say that such loads are not foreseen in the operation of this pushchair ? And that such damage is a consequence of the high quality of your product? And if a child was injured?

DO NOT BUY DIRECT FROM MAXI COSI!!

DO NOT BUY DIRECT FROM MAXI COSI!!

I have never experienced such terrible customer service as we have have done with Maxi COSI. We placed an order and we’re told to expect delivery in 2-4 days and after 12 days we are still yet to receive part of our order. They have no telephone number to speak to a human, they have no email address, the only way to contact is via an online form which they don’t respond to. I finally managed to get in contact with someone via Facebook but only after leaving a bad review there. When they did finally speak to me they just blamed a despatch delay and said I’d have to wait for a further 1-2 days before it was even despatched. At one point they even shared with me someone else’s name, address and telephone number for an order that wasn’t mine, surely a huge GDPR leak?!
One item in our order was delivered after 9 days and they then got in touch to say, good news your order has arrived with you. I’m they have yet to acknowledge that we are still missing part of the order.
I would steer clear from buying from maxi COSI direct unless you want to risk your baby’s safety and your money!
Terrible customer service and still no resolve!

Thank you Nichola in customer care

Bought a pram for another company and they did not provide the adapters that should have come with the pram. I dealt with Nichola in the customer care team who was so helpful & went out of her way to make sure I had the correct items and send the missing part free of change. Thank you

Pram chassis broken the wheels jamming…

Pram chassis broken the wheels jamming and visibly loose rattling along. Contacted maxi cosi and told they can’t send out replacement wheels so il be without my pram for maximum 3-5 working days! DPD collected it and I’ve heard nothing since then! I’ve had no confirmation it was received or updates on repair. It’s now been 11 days. I’ve contacted customer services and they just don’t reply. Appalling customer services and company to deal with. Such a big well known brand that you would expect to have good after care but it is the opposite. WILL I EVER GET MY PRAM BACK MAXI COSI. Horrendous company!!!!!!!!!!!

Avoid - Poor Customer Services

Like many others, I should have checked Trustpilot first... Missing order items and no communication or response to my mails from Maxi-Cosi. No contact number advertised. Very poor company in what is a very stressful time from most families.

I would avoid this company in future.

Maxi Cosi failed to deliver my item…

Maxi Cosi failed to deliver my item through their third party. Promised that the item would be re-sent out to me immediately. Since then have had no response and no item. They are ignoring me and keeping my money without sending me the product or refunding me. Terrible company to deal with.

Having managed to find a customer care number they still have a ridiculous recorded message about "protecting their colleagues so they won't be taking calls". Just another company exploiting its customers and a pandemic which is very much over to provide rubbish service.

DO NOT PURCHASE from this robbing Company

Purchased a Maxi Cosi Lara 2 stroller from Amazon in November 2022.
Ist used the product on our extended holiday in Thailand which started 16 January 2023. Less than 3 weeks later the cushion seat where our baby sits is falling apart. In doing so causing a possibility of a dangerous safety issue.
We contacted Maxi Cosi u.k regarding this issue on 19 February 2023. To date after 2 emails sent to their “supposedly” customer service email address.
NO contact from Maxi Cosi whatsoever! Non existent after sales customer service! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY- there warranty / guarantee means nothing!!!

Bad products worse service

Bad products, worse customer service.
We purchased a Maxi-Cosi bundle at a baby show prior to our child's arrival. Car seat, swivel base and pram that converted from a bassinet to a stroller. The car seat and base fine, no issues. The pram is a different matter... after less than 3 months of use the handle bar went saggy on one side, we followed instructions to resolve and no luck. This was returned and a replacement sent out...which took 14 days in total! So we're unable to use it for some time which is ridiculous. The replacement has now broken in exactly the same way less than 2 months later so its clearly a design/build problem. We have asked for a full refund but are being told no they will just fix or replace it... this is a joke. The item is clearly defective and not fit for purpose and we are well within rights to get a refund. Avoid this brand like the plauge.

A broken coral 360 and no way of contacting anyone

Absolutely disgusting customer service for such a big brand! So disappointed. Bought the new maxi cosi coral 360 and I can’t use the carry strap that cost a extra £50 on top of the car seat as a part has snapped off. It’s unsafe to use this way! What a waste of money. No customer phone line?? And dont answer emails! MAXI COSI you want to be ashamed of yourself, can’t respond to your paying customers but yet they post on Instagram and Facebook on a daily basis and ignore your messages and comments on their posts! Daylight robbery

Great

Wow - our experience has been so different to the most recent reviews. Contacted maxi-cosi regarding a fault on our pushchair, which was out of warranty, but not by much. Maxi-Cosi requested a video of the fault and agreed to replace the pushchair once viewed. There was a slight delay in receiving this, but this was due to the Christmas break so completely understandable. We have used customer service previously and received great service then too. Can't fault at all based on our experiences and would even class it as great customer experience.

Awful experience with this website

Awful experience with this website. AVOID.
We wanted a new car seat and thought it best to go direct to the official website.. how wrong we were! After a week of not hearing anything about our order that was supposed to take 2-4 days to deliver, we went to our bank and cancelled the payment. Not impressed. I emailed the form on the website several times and got no response, not even sure anyone works there!
Don’t buy from here, we’re going to John Lewis now to get the same car seat.

I should have checked TrustPilot first…

I should have checked TrustPilot first as I do always. The delivery is taking too long. I have ordered this last week and they haven't at least shipped it yet (as of Friday this week). Therefore, I chose to cancel my order. When I contacted them 2 days ago through their website, they have just sent me a very standard response that looks like another automated response.

```
Thank you for your email regarding your recent order. We wish you a very Happy New Year.
Due to excessive pressures on couriers and Christmas bank holiday closures, we are experiencing some short delays with dispatch and we are working exceptionally hard to resolve this. Please be reassured that all orders are being picked and dispatched as quickly as possible and you will receive tracking via text message as soon as your order has left us.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to ask.
```

However, the cancellation process was easy and I got a quick response with a confirmation. It's sad because we have all maxi-cosy products (pram and other car seats) that never gave any trouble since 2017. But this wouldn't have arrived by the date I wanted it.
