Tried to call 4 time on hold each time for some time and eventually cut off or left voice mail messages with no returned call several messages asking for 1 hours notice of delivery arrival as wa on another job driver called me waiting on site with deliver

Made my order very simple and a price I was very happy with for the materials I required for my project
Delivery was made so much easier when the guy craned my goods into my front garden with no fuss

Ordered 10mm golden gravel, along other products, specifically to fill ground stabilization grids. Materials Market outsourced the delivery to Travis Perkins, who arrived with 20mm gravel instead. When I rejected the incorrect size, the delivery driver informed me that Travis Perkins doesn't even stock or sell 10mm golden gravel.

Materials Market's system completely failed by matching my order with a merchant that literally cannot fulfil it. I took a day off work to complete this project, costing me £180 in lost earnings, only to be left with a half-finished work because of their logistics blunder.

When phoned, customer service offered a refund for the gravel but refused to take any responsibility for the lost time and money their mistake caused, offering only a vague promise to "raise it with management." Zero accountability for a massive screw-up. Avoid.

Awful. Do not use. Phone your local supplier and negotiate on price.

This company consistently fails on their commitments. Slipped deliveries, poor communication, trying to get you to accept inappropriate alternatives, and then worst sin of all delivering the wrong product and then saying there is no recourse. They are seemingly indifferent to your concerns over any issue when there is one.

Avoid at all costs !!!

I did not receive all of my order and customer service has not helped to rectify the matter. Although I have spoken to several people no-one will take responsibility .

I ordered 51 lengths of 4.8 m 2x4 and 15 lengths of 4.8m 8x2 and most of the timber is either bowed, twisted, split, or damaged in some way and it's supposed to be c24 treated, judging by the condition I would say I am going to struggle makianything on this build level

Cheaper prices than going direct to suppliers, but boy to do you pay for it in time spent calling and chasing (11 times for one order). Orders are split and then cancelled without consulting you (and then a confused supplier arrives and attempts delivery anyway even though you have had to source elsewhere).

I have used material market about 8 times Akshita is the young lady I email with my order an every time my order is 5 stars no problem I had a delivery yesterday the driver was so helpful put everything were I need it to go Akshita thank you so much for your help every time David

Helpful advice on the site, also easy to contact staff via email for further info, and materials arrived promptly and were good quality and very reasonably priced.

I liked the competitive price. I disliked the order being delivered a day early without any notification and then receiving emails to confirm the delivery the following day as scheduled. There appears to be a communication problem between departments.
Update. Material Market contacted me by phone and email offering a sincere apology for the failure in communication from the supplier they used. It’s nice to see a company follow up on reviews.

Great products, we ordered wood in various sizes to redo our bathroom flooring underlay. Prompt delivery.
Had a slight issue with the delivery driver as we hadn't been given any warning that I would need to help him carry all (very) heavy and large items into the house and I had my 1 year old at home alone. It was a case of I had to help or he will drive off as it wasn't physically possible for him alone. So had to strap my toddler in his buggy in front of the TV to help carry from down the street as not outside parking. Not ideal but made it work! Product great but please give warning if required to help carry in as I would have booked a day my partner was home to help.

Delivered on time with a pre phonecall as requested. Driver (derek) did a fantastic job getting the lorry up a very tight track. Dropped the bags exactly where I asked. Couldn't fault the service from start to finish
