One of the worst experience ever with…

One of the worst experience ever with an online shop.
1-The warehouse is outside of Uk(Which is not advertised on site)
2-The contact phone number is not in use.
3-From the email address takes ages to get an answer back.
4-Advertised to get the order in 4 to 6 days(You can be considered lucky if you get a answer to your email in this period of time,so don't even think about to get the order in this time..)
I asked for a refund more than a week ago,no answer-Reported to the Trading Standards Authority,hope they will investigate this company further and finally will take the right decision,to avoid other people to be in the same situation.
So,in the end,you can have a few type of experiences when shopping online:surprisingly good,good,acceptable,bearable,bad,nightmare....and this-SCAM.

I got my money back!

as everyone else I have placed an order on makeup.uk without checking the reviews and only realized there is an issue when I haven't received my order. The company is responding quickly to the emails and assuring the package got stuck in customs. I have lost my patience after a month of waiting and asked for a refund. I have received my money back within 5 days, so this is not a scam as everyone say. However the company have lead the customers to believe they are based in UK, when they actually send orders from EU. This is disappointing because the only reason I placed my order is because I wanted a quick delivery of Polish beauty products. overall experience very bad and stressful, however I'm glad I got the refund, hence 2 stars

What ?? Not scammers ??

What ??? You obviously work for them . Ordered 8 weeks ago and was given some cack about customs . Makeup UK need customs to deliver to Yorkshire ? Oh I see . Scam number 1 then . After 4 weeks was offered refund . I accepted . Still no sign despite numerous messages . I have written it off as a lesson learned so yes I believe I fit your criteria for the right to call them scammers .

NOT SCAMMERS!!!

These people are NOT SCAMMERS. If you're dissatisfied with the length of time it's taking for your order to be delivered then request a refund and you'll get one. That's been my experience anyway. Until you've actually lost money and been refused a refund I suggest that you stop wrongly accusing these people as being scammers. They most definitely are NOT SCAMMERS!!!

Scam! AVOID

Same situation, Avoid!
First the customer service was great, reply to every email, saying that the parcel stuck at customs. But there was no evidence of sending it in the first place. It took over a month and since I want a refund the stopped replying. Obviously still no sign of the order.
Scammers.

Oh dear

Oh dear, looks like the same as a lot of the recent reviews.
This company took my money about a month ago and no sign of my items.
Couple of initial emails blaming Brexit 🤦‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️ Nothing since.
I’m assuming they’re based abroad somewhere?
Just put in for a refund so hoping they aren’t scammers.
I would avoid them.

I have already forgotten what I ordered...

For me the same as for the rest of the people. I ordered a package a month ago. they emailed me twice that there is a delay due to covid. but I also order other things from different sources and I get it after 2-3 days. I would get a parcel from The Moon faster than with makeup. Never again.

Yesterday I got my refunds for 3 parcels around £100. There is some issue with parcels is difficult say why? covid, England left EU ??
Anyway, 4 stars for receiving my refund :).
My advice for everyone is If you are not happy you can send email to request refund instead saying scammers fraud etc.
Hopefully soon you going sort out problem with parcels. There is lots of great polish cosmetic probably is run by Slovakia or Ukraine managers, nice and pleasent people.

Poor experience

I've had a similar experience to other reviews. Placed an order for over £50 in mid April. Since then, I've had several email and phone conversations chasing my order as both DPD websites, in the UK and in Poland, said they received my order details but still awaiting the parcel. The company blamed the delay on Brexit and other unforeseen circumstances. The last update was that my parcel was in Germany but there was a delay at customs. At which point I lost my patience and asked for a full refund. I got an email back the same day and a full refund three days letter. It's been a poor experience but at least they refunded the monies, hence 2 stars. It's a shame because the selection of items on the website is second to none. As others have already pointed out, they ship orders from Poland which means, depending on the order value, if it ever gets to the recipient it might be subject to VAT and/customs fees to be paid by the customer. This isn't mentioned on their website either.

I ordered over a month ago and like…

I ordered over a month ago and like everyone else I’ve been fobbed off with being told my parcel is held up at customs by border force and because of brexit etc.
They jump on the customer service 100% but don’t be fooled by this!!
I’ve asked to be refunded but I think I’d be better off contacting my bank fraud department and leave it to them to get the money returned.

Scammers! I ordered a body cream more than a month ago. They sent a few emails blaming Brexit and the new regulations. All lies. I have a business too it takes 3-5 days to deliver an item in Europe from the UK. Don’t buy from them!
