If I could give them 0 stars, I would. While their service did work while we needed it, they've continued to charge my card monthly when I had initially just added data for the 2 weeks I was in Ireland. Hugely fraudulent company.
They make it incredibly difficult to cancel the recurring payments, especially since I no longer have the phone number since the SIM isn't activated, and I'm not in the country (and the phone was factory reset). I still haven't been able to get them to cancel it. I told them I don't have a way to access the phone number anymore, and they're just asking me to provide them with the phone number. Wtf.
And my one dumb credit card company can't do stop payments on specific businesses either. I had to just cancel the whole card and get a replacement. Huge hassle all around. Highly DO NOT recommend this scammy company.

AVOID SCAM!!! Lyca mobile is nothing short of a scam and they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced!! Bought a SIM card for a brand new phone and it cannot be activated spent 3 hours on the phone to customer service they can’t tell me why it’s nothing working escalated it to the tech team got a text to say it has been resolved and I still have no service and no data a manager was supposed to contact me over 48 hours ago absolutely zero follow up I’m 3 days without a phone because of these scammers!! No service and they took my money!! I am looking into taking legal action against them as this is downright fraud advertising a mobile network service that does not work at all. They are taking your personal data and information and not providing the service which was paid for! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY IT WILL BE THE WORST THING YOU DO

I joined Lyca and went to port my old number over it took Lyca 4 days and 3 phone calls and then to be told it was rejected by Lyca .
An absolute joke when I asked to be refunded they told me to email them.
Money down the drain ill never see again .

In Ireland, their Mobile services are down. Your eSIMs will fail indefinitely. You will not be able to phone Leica Mobile because you will not have a mobile. I had booked flights to another country where I required the services of them, and the number was also attached to a Revolut account. I was unable to download and re-upload the eSIM with the QR code. I cannot buy a SIM card on the website because the website is down.
I contacted the customer service team. They refused to send me a physical SIM card. They hung up on me and left me on hold multiple times. They were the most unhelpful people I could imagine. They are unable to provide a functioning service.
When I explained my situation to the customer service team, their only option was to charge me even more money so they could send out a physical SIM card. This is extortion. This is very bad. This is incredibly corrupt.
We need to find a way to make these larger companies face consequences for constantly stepping on people. They are too detached and too far from reality. The people who own Leica Mobile are probably sitting on a yacht somewhere, while you are left in your own country completely cut off from society because they have terminated your mobile phone service, yet they are still happy to take your money. Every person I dealt with even the supervisor refused to email me or tell me the phone call reference number.

Lyca messed up and added two lines to my account on the same sim card because of a system issue on their side. When contacted about the issue, they refused to refund the incorrect line (for a whopping €18) and said they were unable to make any goodwill gestures.
The phone network is good as long as you dont need to contact the customer dis-service team. If you do. Prepare to smack your head against a wall
Not sure if it's all customer service agents or just Rian but Rian is a 1* because there's no 0* option

OVERCHARGED AND WILL NOT REFUND
We purchased a physical sim while on holiday in Ireland in May to use while there. All was fine using the sim for the few weeks. We discarded the sim when we left. Have now realised that Lyca have been charging a monthly top up since then on our credit card which I did not agree to. So 5 months of charges. I emailed customer service who asked for information so they could access account and said they would refund if the data hadn’t been used. The information they kept requesting was a MFST number which they said I would have received in an email. However I never gave them my email address as I never registered with them as was only using sim for a short time. After emails back and forth with me sending them everything I had, they stopped communicating with me. I then accessed the Live Chat where the agent said they would cancel the account but would not refund any of the previous 5 months even though I had this in writing from the previous agent. I said I didn’t agree to the auto renewal and they said it was set as a default. This is very misleading and I would avoid this company at all costs as I have been charged $50 for something I didn’t use and didn’t know I was being charged for!

So tired of this now.
No internet on a regular basis.
Have dealt with customer service, who talked me through several steps on phone , making changes in settings, but within a few days as bad as ever.
Will have to move to another provider as issues are ongoing.

In July we had an issue with their service, they acknowledged & refunded the top-up.
Next week they took an unapproved 6.99 even though the auto-top up was 'requested' to be switched off ?
In August they agreed to refund & issued a refund order #. Subsequently they 'alleged' the the top had been used BUT refused to provide any detail & cancelled the refund ?
In September they instructed the issue be referred to their complaints department. After 10 working days no response from their 'complaint dept.', even though their own procedure 'promises' a 5 day response time ?
Then they completely ignored any further mails ?
Took issue to comreg, Lycamobile stated some 'minimal' usage of the package had taken place, but provided no detail & offered a 'good-will' refund of 6.99.
The above are the facts without opinion. You decide if Lycamobile follow their own procedures ? Decide if Lycamobile have a 'working' complaints procedure ? You decide, if they can be trusted with access to your money & will do as they say...?
Is 6.99 the price LycaMobile place on honest business practice ? The answer: when they say in a response to a similar review this week 'This isn’t the experience we want for our customers, and we truly want to make it right.'

I couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of Mari's service. From the start, she was attentive, taking the time to fully understand the issue I was having with my SIM card. She was proactive in finding solutions and guided me through each step with clarity and confidence.
What stood out most was Mari’s knowledge and professionalism—she not only resolved my issue quickly but also made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find such dedication and genuine care in customer service.

Worst of the Services in Ireland
------------------------------------
I have never seen the pathetic service provided by any service provider - Lyca is at the pinnacle of them all.
I requested the Iycamobile IE team give me my account number through an email at
Oct 4, 2025, 10:21 AM via my email.
The reason I sent them an email because the live human agent told me that they will not provide it via online chat help.
Today is 25 Oct 2025, means its been 21 days since I made a request. But still I have not been provided with my Lycamobile account number.
They literally makes their customer life's miserable and hard.
And the best of them all- They intentionally sent you an email on Friday around 4:40 ish time so that you do not get enough time to provide response and then this thing will be dragged to the future indefinitely without any solution.
#432470774 Reference ID I received through their email portal.

I initiated a transfer of my existing mobile number to Lycamobile earlier this week. My previous provider confirmed that the transfer was successfully completed and the number was active on the Lycamobile network.
However, since placing the new Lycamobile SIM card into my phone, I have had NO service whatsoever.
This is not a partial failure; this is a total service collapse:
Cannot make or receive any national calls.
Cannot make or receive any international calls.
No mobile internet connection.
My SIM card is essentially a dead piece of plastic, and I have now been cut off from all essential communications for nearly 48 hours. I am missing important calls and my ability to conduct daily business is severely hampered.
Total Failure of Customer Service
I have contacted Lycamobile customer service twice regarding this urgent issue, after waiting for 30+ minutes on both occasions.
On both occasions, I received the same, completely unhelpful, standard response: "The technical team will look into it within 24-48 hours." This is a boilerplate answer that demonstrates zero effort or urgency.
To add to the frustration, I specifically requested a callback from a technical support specialist or a team leader to escalate this critical problem. I have received no call back or direct communication from a specialized team, leaving me completely in the dark and without a functional phone line.
This level of technical incompetence combined with dismissive customer support is unacceptable. Potential customers should be warned: the porting process is clearly unreliable, and if anything goes wrong, you will be left stranded with no help and no timeline for resolution.
