The front office staff are super nice and professional. Everything is done in a timely manner, without much hassle. They offer great prices, without any hidden costs. Plus, other companies block large sums of money on your card - nothing at Locauto!
I've rented with this company twice already and will continue to come back.

Everything is good except the car didn’t have washer fluid, so we had to fill it up od the way (check before leaving parking space). Check out and check in went well and the car was in good condition.

Due to circumstances beyond my control
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was only two hours late returning the car. There was an accident on the road, which caused a massive traffic jam and significantly delayed my journey.
Unfortunately, your company did not take these circumstances into consideration and charged me an additional €100. I believe this charge is unfair, given that the delay was caused by circumstances completely beyond my control.

Stay clear of this company!! Trying to argue there is a dent in the roof due to a hail storm. I’ve tried to take a photograph of the dent and it does not even show on a photo. Arrived home to a €1570 bill off them. They are just exploiting customers. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THEM!!

The car it was very dirty, The front windshield had oil on the inside. The car was not mechanically sound; there was knocking in the entire steering and suspension system.

I rented a car from this company and my…
I rented a car from this company and my own rental car was fine. However, my sister’s experience was very different.
One thing I really disliked was the way they push additional insurance and protection packages. In the EU, third-party liability insurance is mandatory — a car cannot legally be operated on public roads without it. Yet at the rental desk they offer additional insurance, which can give the impression that the car is somehow not properly insured or safe to drive without buying all these extras.
The bigger problem was the condition of my sister’s car. It was handed over with a visible bulge on one of the tyres, which is a serious safety issue. There was also a stone chip in the windshield that was not marked or documented at pickup. Later, the windshield cracked from the existing chip when exposed to sunlight, and the company sent her a €920 bill for the damage.
My advice: inspect the car extremely carefully before driving away and take photos and videos of absolutely everything — especially the tyres, windshield, bodywork and interior. Make sure every existing defect is recorded in the rental agreement.
My own rental was fine, but after seeing what happened with my sister’s car, I would strongly recommend being extremely careful and documenting everything before accepting a vehicle from this company.

Third-party liability insurance is, of course, included in all our rentals by default, as required by law. Our staff is trained to transparently explain the additional protection packages we offer. However, these are strictly optional, and every customer is completely free to choose whether to purchase them or not based on their needs.
We sincerely apologize for the tire issue and the windshield chip your sister encountered. We always offer our customers a joint vehicle inspection (check-out) before leaving the parking lot. This allows our staff and the driver to review the car together and immediately correct any discrepancies between our official damage report and the actual condition of the vehicle.
