Lloyds used to be competent. Now? Appalling. Months of waiting on disputed payments. Hours on the phone without actually getting through to someone. Message us features? Hours for responses and then they only answer a 1/3 of your questions and then close the chat 🤬

What should have been 5 stars for how a gentleman refunded £49.95 to me from a scam by voice2text.com, is now 1 star due to the £49.95 reappearing on my account. He suggested I email the company to ensure no further payments would be made, which I duly did after our conversation. Unfortunately, when I phoned for an explanation, I didn't get the same understanding from a lady in a foreign customer service call centre. She cut me off before she gave me a full explanation. The complaint procedure form that I have viewed doesn't appear to allow for all the details. Does this mean I have to write to Lloyds Customer Services, Leeds. LS78 1LB?

I had the most shocking and stressful experience with Lloyds Bank regarding a £60,000 Cash ISA transfer from Trading 212. I submitted the signed Transfer Authority form back on 20th May 2026. Lloyds confirmed receipt on 25th May, but then they sat on my paperwork for over a MONTH, failing to forward it to Trading 212 until 29th June!
To make matters worse, Lloyds’ staff repeatedly got the transfer direction completely BACKWARDS—mistakenly processing my transfer "in" as a transfer "out." Once Trading 212 finally received the delayed request, they acted immediately and sent the £60,000 to Lloyds on 2nd July. However, due to Lloyds’ ongoing internal confusion, they held my life savings in a financial limbo for 12 days, completely lost track of the money, and eventually rejected and bounced the funds back to Trading 212 on 14th July!
Their customer service is utterly dismissive and incompetent. Agents Tony and Claire repeatedly misled me to "be patient" because "investigations are ongoing," completely unaware that the funds had already been rejected. Furthermore, they showed zero Duty of Care for vulnerable customers. I explicitly stated in the chat that I have a severe language barrier and cannot communicate over the phone, yet agent Bev completely ignored my needs and tried to force me onto their telephone helpline, later abandoning the chat.
This 50-day administrative nightmare has caused me catastrophic anxiety and financial distress. I have officially escalated this to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). Avoid Lloyds Bank at all costs—their systems are broken, and their service is an absolute joke!

Been with Lloyds for 25+ years. I recently carried out a credit card balance transfer to my Lloyds Platinum credit card via the Lloyds Banking app (on 19 June) - but it failed to go through as the Lloyds app technology incorrectly read the 16-digit card number as a debit card. I had no notification it had failed. The 0% promotion on the card I was transferring from subsequently ended without me having moved the balance - and I will be charged the interest. I spent three hours making various calls about this on 7 July - and one Lloyds Bank worker in the credit card dept confirmed I had entered the 16-digit number correctly, that the technology had incorrectly read the 16-digit number as a debit card, and that their systems had failed to do the transfer. This call was recorded. The telephone balance transfer team also confirmed they already had my credit card number, from when I had entered it into the app - and that it was correct. This call was recorded. But yet the complaints team insist they have no evidence I entered the card number correctly and do not uphold my complaint. Leaving Lloyds as a result - just awful customer service and care. Lloyds need to admit they made a mistake and compensate me for the interest accrued on the M&S card as a result of Lloyds' mistake. This is not how to win customer loyalty. In my opinion, their customer service has been dreadful and self-serving for some time now. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Banking App Download and set up .
Wanted to invest some money in an ISA with Lloyds . Downloaded the app . No problem. Was waiting for a cheque from another bank to be sent to me . A few days later, password would not work . Didn’t recognise my name . Tried several times. Deleted app and re-loaded app. Several times . Error after error .” Please contact customer service” . Pressed the number on screen , sorry can’t connect you to CS . Oh dear , Lloyds, you’ve lost a customer. I’ve gone elsewhere.

I am not computer literate so to expect everyone to be able follow the weird instructions is very poor. You need to go back to the old way where people can come into branch and sort out mortgages etc
