Great place to visit. A walk up to the castle from town provides amazing views, well worth the effort. Lots of good cafes and the canal tow path is a good walk, you can walk or cycle for miles. You can also walk across the aquaduct and see the narrowboats.

Was very disappointed by the venue. Having paid £79.50 for a ticket I expected something better than a well used hard plastic chair, the floor was dirty with food and rubbish so does not appear to have been cleaned. Prices for food and soft drinks were what I would call a rip off, £8.50 for a hot dog! Needless to say we did not buy anything. £10 parking was another addition to the bill. There was very little information regarding the concert from the venue, people who were working there didn’t know what time the concert started as they hadn’t been told. Overall a poor experience and I will not be returning

What ever you do, don't order the Christmas dinner. Three sprouts two carrots overcooked dry turkey cushion which was mainly stuffing and pigs in blankets were a fiver extra. They didn't even have any sherry for a Christmas toast.

Llangollen is a small welsh town with a beautiful preserved railway along with a equally wonderful canal to wonder along to a dramatic waterfall.Pubs and independent shops sit among buildings and hotels of historical interest all surrounding the white wild waters of the river dee.
The welsh hospitality is in a abundance making Llangollen is fabulous place to visit.

My wife and I spent four nights Friday 13th to Tuesday 17th in Llangollen staying at the Riversdale House B&B, Olivia and Georgina were wonderful hosts, we were made to feel welcome as soon as the front door was opened, our room and bathroom were marvellous, comfy and spacious with terrific views across the railway, river and up to the mountains beyond and the continental style breakfast basket will keep you going all day. The town had a two day food festival on Saturday and Sunday, so many stalls with foods to try and buy plus entertainment, in the town and at the bandstand which is a lovely little walk up the beautiful river Dee, It was nice to see the food stalls spread around the town and at the railway so that all the areas of the town benefitted from all the visitors that it attracted. Our evening meals for four nights were eaten at The Cornmill which is situated beside the river Dee, with a bar and a large decking area for those days when it's warm enough to sit outside plus a great restaurant spread over three floors serving a marvellous selection of fresh cooked food most of which don't include "chips", the staff there were all lovely and friendly which is always a bonus. We also had a trip on the Llangollen Railway, sadly they weren't running steam over the weekend even though the food festival was on and there seemed to be a lot of visitors in town but we still had a trip behind a heritage diesel loco down the Dee valley to the brand new Corwen station, well done to all involved in getting this station built and we would thoroughly recommend a trip. My wife and I where visiting Llangollen today and noticed a new eaterie called "Castle burgers".we had Buffalo wings And a potion of fries.
The owner was pleasant, and the property was excellent and also dog friendly.
We will be definitely going there again.
Excellent value for money.
