Refer a friend - DON'T

I sent a refer a friend link and my friend ordered£80 of products but the code would not deduct the £10 voucher. When she rang customer service she was told that it was not valid on sale products. This is misleading and also I feel terrible for involving her in what I thought was a kind gesture. I will not buy from them again and make sure everyone knows why. They have lost a lot of business for the sake of a £10 voucher.

FABULOUS CLEANSE AND POLISH ….

..

I can only write about my own experience of Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish over two decades which has been perfect.

My skin looks great and many people presume I am at least 10-years younger; something I attribute to long term use of C&P and the muslin cloths (plus Olay Regenerist)!

I love that I can pick up the phone and speak to someone (are you listening The White Company?) and also that I can understand them. They are always friendly and helpful and full of good advice.

My husband remains happy with his male Cleanse and Polish, Shaving-Cream and After-Shaving moisturiser.

However, I am very disappointed and surprised to read so many poor reviews from long-term customers for other products.

The only solution would appear to be to persuade Liz to return for a short spell to get products back on track.

It’s obvious that Avon wouldn’t care the same as Liz and Kim but it would be horrific if they drove the company into the ground.

In the meantime, as far as I’m concerned, the service and my Cleanse and Polish is still fantastic.

Problem with Superskin range

Used LE for years and no problem. Recently bought the new Superskin alt-retinol skin paste and Superskin moisturiser with neroli one or both have caused a rash all over my face. Will be calling them on Monday for a refund!

Totally disappointed

Totally disappointed. I was recommended this cream bought everything, not happy at all.
My face has had a reaction and I now have spots like a teenager, I'm 58.
I have not decided to use Aloe Vera much more natural for the skin.

Changes

I fell so sad at having to leave a negative review for a company and products that I have used for 20+ years. I, like many others here am dismayed at the changes to the products.
The super skin moisturiser smells to like gloss paint now (excessive use of linseed woil maybe) and causes a burning sensation and reddening of my skin.
Both my daughters have used Liz Earle since their teens and have also had problems with the products too.
My sister (who started using Liz Earle on my recommendation) suffers from eczema and has also had terrible problems with not just the moisturiser.
Sadly, it would appear that the values that Liz held when she was at the helm have been forgotten.
I now find myself searching for new skin care so if anybody has any recommendations I would be happy to hear.

So sad that after 20 odd years I need to find a new skin cream. Have been a loyal fan but tired the new cream after consultation with LE advisorbas don't like change! Within about a week my usually beautiful skin was red, sore and spotty. When I contacted LE I was tol do picked the wrong cream and can swap it but not risking it. Very disappointed.

I have extremely sensitive skin and I finally found Liz Earles moisturiser that was perfect for my skin. I used it for years! I bought up all the stock I could of them original as they had changed formula. I’ve now run out and started to use the new one. It is awful! Absolutely awful! Doesn’t hydrate my skin, gives me spots and feels disgusting on my skin. I refuse to pay the amount for the super skin so am looking for a new brand. I will not use Liz Earle products again. Disgusted!

WTAF? Why would you reformulate a classic product that is loved and that WORKS?

Bought bergamot and juniper cleanse and polish from look fantastic. Smelt not as refined as previous combinations - used it a few times and it seemed like the formula has changed. It is more watery and not the cleanse and polish we all loved for so many years. It is really poor as a product in comparison. After coming here I realise it is not just me who has experienced this and they are reformulating other beloved products. How could a company be so stupid? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it! I will be investigating other brands - Superdrug do good creamy cleansers for a fraction of the price - the only issue is their plastic is not recyclable.

Just used the cleanse and polish again and ugh it is awful, it seems to sit on the skin even when you have polished it away. My face is stinging slightly too.

Ugh what have you done Liz Earle? Liz Earle herself must be fuming. At least I hope she is.

Unfortunately I can only echo what others have said. I've been a big fan of LE for a very long time but noticed the C&P began to hurt my eyes quite badly. I renewed my moisturiser a while ago not realising the formula had changed and omg just awful! It's watery, smells like it's pumped full of chemicals, does not absorb and just sits on the skin in a sticky film. Doesn't moisturise at all. It seems all the natural oils are no longer a feature. Really hoping the body cream doesn't go the same way as that's the only thing I buy now.

I recommend Up Circle's products if anyone is trying to look for a really good replacement. Absolutely lush moisturiser and fantastic ethos! Check them out.

Face has blistered

Used most of liz earles products for years. Now with these last ones I have blisters on my face. Not sure which has caused it. Much better moisturisers and cleansers out there which I will use in the future. Very disappointing.

Liz Earle seem to have changed the Eyebright Eye Lotion as well. The new Eyebright Eye Cleanser is horrible with none of the lovely ingredients that were in the old one. Too many changes Liz Earle, I'm off.

Disappointed-skin warnings needed!

Was so excited to try the c&p but boy am I disappointed. After using for a short time my face and hands have developed a fungal skin infection!! Never had any problem with the Simple products I was using but thought I'd upgrade my skincare routine-what a mistake that was. Am so disappointed and well out of pocket. Now it will take weeks to clear my skin 😔

Have loved Liz Earle products in the past- used the new moisturiser- now have small, itchy blisters and red skin around nose and mouth and had to have antibiotic cream prescribed in an attempt to rectify things. It’s now been a week. I know it’s not a scientific study but it does look like a common theme!

Liz Earle - Gutted

Absolutely gutted that after 20 years Liz Earle (Boots) has changed their moisturiser. The whole ethos was about gentle products that did not irritate - why change a massively successful product to one which is so truly awful: stings my face, brings me up in blotches & smells terrible. So disappointing when companies not interested in their customers - Boots, I am taking my spend elsewhere!
