Very poor aftercare
A work colleague recommended this company after his knee replacement. This initial phone called was “strained” as the pricing fees were misleading. A package “offer”with a private call with a Gp implies a saving of some description. It’s not. The £425 fee was simply , £350 for the MRI and £75 for the 2 minute Gp call. Please don’t mislead patients. The scan was straightforward and what I paid for. I went to see a physician for the results which were on her screen in front of me. Despite my request for a copy she was unable to print it, quoting Data Protection, despite me being the patient, having all my identification and being present etc. I then had to complete another form and hand it over to the helpful lady on reception. I’m still waiting 3 weeks later for the single page copy of my own report to take to my physio. In addition Ive sent 2 separate emails to the private patients address requesting copies of the receipts and Gps referral so I can claim some of the costs back. I am still waiting for their reply or response. Its totally unacceptable to ignore customers emails and requests. It’s easy to take peoples money over the phone claiming its an “offer”, but customer service doesn’t end there. Very dissatisfied and sadly I’m left with no other option than to escalate to CQC over something so simple. Use with caution, there are other companies out there.
LivingCare are a very dangerous…
LivingCare are a very dangerous company. They didn’t pass on a serious diagnosis to my hospital and scheduled me for a procedure they should never have performed. They prescribed me medication that I didn’t need, this exacerbated a condition I already had (that they were aware of) and increased my risk of cancer. A member of their staff physically assaulted me and their investigation found they did nothing wrong. At least two other members of staff covered for the individual who assaulted me because I know they were there to witness it. Please don’t trust this company with your care.
Edited to add due to recent developments, they also failed to comply with my subject access request properly and withheld vital documents about how they dealt with the assault until I challenged them about it.
Easy to find clinic
Easy to find just off the M1 with free parking. Staff very friendly, helpful & efficient.
Excellent
Extremely efficient both before and after the appointment. Made me as comfortable as possible. Thank you.
Great service, lovely staff
I have been to Living gave a few times now. Overall, appointments run on time, wait time for further testing is extremely reasonable and all staff have been very caring, considerate and professional.
The only knock down was a recent MRI, the first I’ve ever had. I knew I was slightly claustrophobic and was surprised this wasn’t asked as part of the questionnaire. I was given headphones and told it’s a little noisy a bit like roadworks however I couldn’t hear the music for the noise and I also felt like the noise was more relatable to an air raid siren which got me worried as it didn’t sound like I expected it to and it felt like it was going on a lot longer than they said it would. My mind was playing tricks on me and I began feeling dizzy and sick, not the staffs fault in anyway at all however..
At the end they spoke to me through the headphones, I do wish and a (recommendation) they would have told me they were able to do that as I would have asked for them to let me know when I was half way through, I think I would have then been able to calm myself down. I did end up having a panic attack after I left, also a first!
After speaking to a family member who recently had one elsewhere they were spoken to and notified every minute in order to count down.
I do feel there could have been a little more care and warmth to that part of my experience so far. Asking how a person does in tight spaces and give the patient options to support them through if they may be required as just hearing a voice during that time would have made a huge difference to me.
Overall 90% good experiences here for far

Experience of living care
As soon as you walked into the building there was a friendly atmosphere which out me at ease. I was there for my first MRI scan and I was really anxious but the receptionist was so professional and friendly it put me at ease. When the radiographer called my name he explained everything that was to happen. He knew I was anxious and he explained all the procedure.
I would go there again should the need arise.
Knee MRI
A warm welcome when I arrived. My appointment was on time. The radiographer was really nice explaining what would happen. The procedure took 15 minutes. It was possible to communicate with the radiographer, although this wasn't necessary. A pleasant experience.
