I bought PD 7 and later PD 13 ultra for long life use. So 2x a full amount. I take a look in my programm PD13 for updates. push on the button in the toolbar. or there are in the mean time updates of my PD 13. I went automaticly on an automatic page of PD 365. No button spacially for my PD 13. Only pd 365. So I try out for the PD 365 for free. I Thougt, maybe is instead of PD 13. But then I wanted to produce a video edit. Then the message came that a watermark would be placed in the video. The connection of my livetime software (PD13) was not connected. Nowhere a solution within the program PD 365. ( my boughted lifetime products are free of waterbrands) Sent an email message 2x to know how so;ute this problem. I received a ticket number. No response from the gentlemen in Thailand. So out of necessity back to my old PD13 on my pc.. But it no longer worked after trying that PD 365. Not even via the "aplication manager" which kept indicating that it is 'currently not possible' to download my purchased product for life time. A pure financial hostage-taking of these scammers. Sending you around all the time and trying to sell you a subscription. New buyers of PD 365 be warned. Don't do it. You'll be walking into a trap.

I used Power Director 365 for over a year and liked it so much I renewed the year subscription last Fall. Last week, it stopped loading - just took me to a page of "free" trial downloads. Multiple tries finally got me through to my account page, which listed the product as paid. I've been trying every trick I can muster to get through to their "Support Team", but so far have only gotten generic bot responses. Using my "ticket number" is useless because their link for direct response...takes me to the page for their "free" trial downloads. I can't even use their Ap Manager anymore. Goes to the same useless page. Final Insult: this afternoon I tried using their toll free number for customer support. Know what I got? A FAX MACHINE TONE!!!!

Have upgraded cyberlink but i receive a lot of spam about the cloud has expierd. Have payed for the upgraded licens, but i dont have any need for a cloud-function. And as far as i know i havent recuested for one either. The suport about this is none existent. My power dvd experiense is suffering because of that. My feeling is that they want to suck out more money. Conklusion: A total sham. :(
Terrible Tech Support Even with PAID Plans
First, this Trustpilot review should not be titled, "Liveupdate Cyberlink." The company name is CyberLink and the website is cyberlink.com
I puchased the annual subscription for the full Director Suite 365 ($99/year) for Windows because I need to edit both video and photos.
Overall the software is pretty impressive and has a nice selection of ready-to-use features and functions that save you a lot of editing time, although it does have some limitations compared to the more popular (and more expensive) brands used for professional-level editing.
The big red flag and reason for only 2 stars is that their tech support is effectively nonexistent and only accessible by email, which is just unacceptable for a PAID subscription.
The average response time is several DAYS or more, which of course sucks and does you no good at all if the technical error issue you're having or their lack instructional info stops a project in its tracks.
Not only is email-only support obviously very inefficient and frustrating to effectively communicate, it's what you'd expect with a free product or service, NOT a paid one.
Unless and until CyberLink ever starts to provide phone tech support for its paid products, I cannot recommend it.

If I could give less than one star I would! I tried to get help with their program which kept crashing. They kept asking me to send them crash reports and other information which I did. This went on for 4 months!!! Then they wrote, looks like your subscription has ended. UNBELIEVABLE - don't buy this, you'll regret it.
PhotoDirector
Purchased and downloaded their PhotoDirector 365 software for $88 based on the advertised features. When I try to use the advertised features, a prompt says those features require a "Premium" version. When I click on "Try Premium", a browser window pops up and says I'm already subscribed to "Premium" (yes, I knew that).
I have opened a ticket with PayPal, but I have a strong gut feeling I just donated $88 to this scam company. I STRONGLY urge others not to follow in my footsteps.

Scammers & Fraudulent
Firstly, I evaluated on a Mac M2 and decided to buy the license. Guess what - despite downloading a Mac software - it gave me a windows license. So the price they state is incorrect then they tell me I need to double the price for Mac and some feature will not work (gave me an obscure link). Promised me a refund. Guess what - the refund launches a page that does not exist. Now they tell me "you may contact 2checkout support through the following channels regarding to your refund".
Its not a big amount and won't break the bank. I will make sure they are blacklisted by VISA so others are not duped too. These are cowboys - just stick to the Indians and you will be fine.

Program was perpetual license. Tried the demo and liked so bought full version. It's a stripped down version doesn't have half of what the trial has. That's not the issue the majority n thing is it take 11 hrs to export, than the videos will not play, cannot preview. Spent hours with support who kept repeating update my drivers. I did all that and it didn't fix. Than they have a fix but the download link doesn't s not work. They said they are working on it. Been two weeks nothing. They are trying to to push this past my 30 day return. I'm returning now. Absolutely a horrible experience, tech support repeatedly sends same information. Update dx, update driver very, reinstall when in their forums everyone is saying it's not working. It's a defective software
Great Value
Finding Cyberlink products was such a relief. Didn't take me long to switch from Adobe expensive products to cyberlink. Not only they offer way greater value for money but is way more user friendly - The photo editing for example - I can do it all in one software, very easy to find your way around, where before I always had to switch between Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. The Video editor also is great.

PowerDVD application stopped working…
PowerDVD application stopped working with new windows version. The app also continuously asks to buy next application version despite it still does the same things.
Support does not allow to transfer license despite I can't use it anymore considering it's not working with the new OS. Not worth the money spent considering durability of the app itself.

Yet another online photo digital editing company. Offers a trial.Trial fails to work. I decide to risk a one month trial payment. This is not accepted. No way now Am I going to buy the full set.

Power DVD....AVOID
as I have used Cyberlink video director for a few years now I decided to upgrade to 365 and also bought power DVD. However Power DVD is a big let down constant crashes, can't recognize CD details, setup is a complete nightmare after hours I am still trying to get it to work properly, I can't get it to work with my phone remote (Power DVD remote app) I reported this problem 7 years ago and it still exists, the only thing it does right is read video files, music files and DVDs and Blu rays forget the rest. very poor value for money
Update: Gone from bad to worse, now I can't even access my you tube account as my other Cyberlink program is locking it out. I complete waste of over £60 I will definitely avoid this in future. Update: 8th Jan 2024 still can't access my you tube account as Cyberlink are giving an Invaled request for some reason. Tried emailing them all you get is loads of FAQs which are no use and time consuming. Update: 10th Jan 2024 still no reply as to how to fix this you tube account problem.
Update:16th Jan 2024: Still no help from Cyberlink, sent them anther email. I am starting to think You Tube are behind this to an extent too.
Update:28th Jan 2024 And still no word or email from Cyberlink on how to get my you tube working again. Cyberlink seem to have avoided access to my you tube account but no explanation or anything why. I will not buy this package again, I feel completely ripped off.

I paid $ 190 Canadian for PowerDirector 16 Ultimateand which can't be used on Mac and they gave me a so called 3 registered lifetime licenses. That again I can't download on my Mac. Customer service! Dont make me laugh. No one ever response to you. Ever. No matter if you send them (My Support Ticket) 1 million times. I so hate them for this. $190 is a lot of effin money to steal from me and I will for ever tell others not to purchase nothing from this fake irresponsible site. Did not want to deal with them, just download the software that was promised for free while buying a bluray writer/reader. had to make an account to be eligible (which is bs). The login afterwards asked for the password, but the password now had to follow different rules and so the password i had just created was no invalid. When asking the helpdesk.. they told me i could read their answer after logging in.....
Also, since creating that account I have received unwanted mail from them pretty much every day, aka SPAM
Pathetic after sales service
I purchased the Cyberlink Photo Director 365 in February this year. Last month I did a factory reset on my laptop. When I downloaded the program again there was nowhere to reregister it so all I have is the free version with very limited features. I explained the problem to customer care and they could not fix it, nor would they credit me for the 3 months subscription that I had left. The program is great to use but the company treats customers badly if there is a problem with the software.
