Unfair banning of account on day 1 with zero support
Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with Linktree. I am a new creator and created an account in hopes to link gear to my platform. When setting this up I did not have time to go through the entire process of making my profile, so I only did minor things to begin with. I linked my TikTok.
I was on vacation and when I returned and had time to focus on updating my profile when I went to the linktree app, it would sign me in and not allow me to update anything. Then on the website the log in page would just go in a loop. I reached out to the support team for help on this. After 6 days, several emails and screen recording later of what I was experiencing. They then told me my account was banned and to submit an appeal.
I then submitted an appeal and was told I could not be reinstated because I had breached community standards with one or more of my links (keep in mind - I only linked my TikTok at this point, I am a travel platform and have nothing bad on my account). After asking for more information on this and what exactly did not follow standards since I have had this issue nowhere else I was told they were unable to provide specifics about the individual elements that triggered the apparent violation. They then told me the decision to delete the account parentally was final.
This effected my social media work flow and there was no real transparency or support other then to say "I am permanently banned" with no other context.
Would not recommend based on my experience. Find a different platform that has your back.

Linktr.ee has not been working
Linktr.ee has not been working. When I attempt to get a code sent to my email, none is sent. I contacted GoDaddy and they are unable to see any attempt from Linktr.ee of an email with a code being sent. They asked me to escalate the ticket that was sent on 12/15/25 and was said I would get an answer to. Today is 1/3/26. This app has failed me for the 3rd time as I need to update my links. Do not use them if you want to be considered a serious business or creator.

A linktr.ee NIGHTMARE... They banned my account for absolutely no reason, at least I was not able to understand why. I submitted an appeal, they kept emailing me corporate BS like "we are here to help" but they are not helping at all. Don't use them, they are useless

This is the past issue I had, but they resolved it:
They recently did a sweep for content they deemed restricted. That's understandable. But instead of warning their users, they simply banned the account.
That's how they treat their users. They don't even try to help you become a better LinkTree user and give time to make changes, just straight ban because they're lazy, lack the technical know-how to manage support tickets at scale.
There's many copycats to LinkTree that provide much more reliable service. stay far away.

Reputational Risk due to Linktree's Conduct
After being a long time user of this for my academic profile and for related academic research projects, LinkTree has immediately banned my account due to what they claim to be "Community Standards, "Don't use Linktree to advertise or facilitate the sale of regulated or illegal goods or services."
This is followed up with "Please note that multiple violations of our Standards may result in account termination." There hasn't been a single violation, never mind several, but they have immediately banned the whole Linktree.
There was, of course, no sale of illegal goods or services taking place and the link was to the same Google drive where all the other longstanding links on the Linktree in question are hosted.
They have left a holding note on my profile stating "This account has been removed due to a breach of our Community Standards." The reputational risk of this for the project is quite significant. I have external funders and scrutiny from senior stakeholders. This makes me look like I am incompetent, and that my education research project, which is funded by public funds, is illegal.
The AI chatbot in the Help section then refused to answer my questions regarding timescale for a response from Linktree regarding appealing the ban.
Furthermore, when filling in the form to appeal, no confirmation of what has been submitted is provided or sent to your email address detailing what you have sent to them.
To quote my 12 year old son, "This is exactly why you do not leave your complete trust in AI to do anything." I think this sums up how Linktree is clearly operating, with flawed automated, human-less systems.
No timescale for action was given, and I received no evidence that my appeal to the incorrect ban had even been lodged.
The page has been unbanned, but the whole experience was unnecessarily frustrating.
