Lifetime Linktree Pro” — then “only an introductory benefit” + my account now shows I’ll have to pay next year
I bought a Fingertip Lifetime Deal via Primeclub. Shortly after, Fingertip was acquired by Linktree (Nov 2025). The transition email states they “worked with the Fingertip and Linktree team” so that “all the Club Members get lifetime Linktree account as a replacement” and it includes a “lifetime code for Linktree Pro.” During redemption, the checkout message is “Free PRO forever applied.”
I redeemed the code exactly as instructed. Now my Linktree account indicates I’ll need to pay next year / that a paid renewal is coming.
When I asked support, they replied: “the offer is not a lifetime deal, but rather an introductory benefit as part of the transition.”
That is a direct contradiction on the core promise: “lifetime/forever” vs “not lifetime.” Trust is gone — I can’t recommend Linktree based on this experience.
My recommendation: based on my experience, think twice (or three times) before buying ‘lifetime deals’ — there are too many red flags in this space right now.
Appendix / Evidence (verbatim excerpts)
1) Transition email (Fingertip → Linktree):
“We worked with the Fingertip and Linktree team to have all the Club Members get lifetime Linktree account as a replacement.”
“And here is your lifetime code for Linktree Pro: [REDACTED]”
“Step 5: Once applied, you will get a message ‘Free PRO forever applied’, then click on ‘Continue’, your account will be upgraded to lifetime Pro.”
2) Linktree Support reply (Hennjin):
“There is currently no lifetime code for Fingertip-connected customers.”
“There is no reference to a permanent or lifetime code in the available information—only an introductory promotional offer.”
“We do not currently offer a lifetime code for Fingertip Connected… Fingertip users are eligible for an exclusive introductory offer on the Linktree Pro plan.”
Update: Linktree support now states:
“This code corresponds to ‘Friends of Linktree - Forever (100% Off Forever),’ which means you have received a 100% discount on the purchase of your annual Pro subscription, not a forever lifetime access.”
This still conflicts with the transition email wording (“lifetime code for Linktree Pro”, “Free PRO forever applied”, “upgraded to lifetime Pro”). So is it lifetime pro access not just an annual subscription with a discount.
It contradicts itself outright, right? I’ve included the exact wording — judge for yourself.
Saw a review said they are a Robbing company very true
if i can give one star i would. there's a revew i saw called them Robbing co. very true. was £30 in 2025 now £80 if not robber what was that? Account was cancelled and deleted afterwrads but continued to put charges through.
I am in a legal battle against Linktree after scamming me of a yearly subscription
Linktree withdrew a year worth subscription on top of my usual monthly sub. Did not explain where it's coming from, did not let me quit the contract, violating multiple laws:
It was an empty charge. Simple "Linktree". No details as a username, subscription number etc - violating against PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2) and German GoBD. Until the last day they refused to explain (proof via email)
Refusal to let me quit the contract after 12 months based on EU/Fairer Contract via Rome I (in EU you can quit contracts on a monthly basis after a year)
Refusal to cooperate with stupid excuses. EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive) - Best example: repeatedly telling me "you have to prove it's you" - after sending them the exact payment details plus screenshot of the subscription.
Their customer care was at the time not available from the own backend (only FAQ)
After I reached Care, I was discussing this case nearly a month - no resolution. The case is now at multiple organizations (German Mahnbescheid, EUROPEAN CONSUMER CENTRE, BaFin & Stripe Regulatory Body). I gave up dealing with them the normal way.
For everyone reading this. Take 30 minute of your time and research alternatives or simply use an AI to vibecode what Linktree has to offer - there is absolutely no reason to pay a consumer-hostile company 125 USD or more a year just to show some links.
Linktree has integritee!
These guys are great! Their customer service is speedy and attentive. When I accidentally subscribed to the pro version and asked for a refund, they didn't give me any run-around or red tape or bs. They just processed my request immediately. Clearly whoever is running the ship is a decent, honest person and I will be subscribing, as soon as I can afford it, to thank them for their integrity. Much love!
I have a pro account, but I do not get what I pay for.
I have a pro account. I cannot access pro features. I've been paying for pro for a long time. I cannot access all-time analytics. Their sloppy AI bot tells me that all-time analytics is only available in the £16pm premium plan and directs me to a features comparison page. I reply with further proof that I am right from the same page I am directed to and I still get no option to talk to a human. It took 10 mins and many messages for the AI slop to finally say it was tagging it for a "human teammate" to review (eww). I will update my review with their response.
The website keeps telling me to upgrade to pro but I already pay for it and have a pro account. It's ridiculous.

unauthorized payments happened(still haven’t got my refund), and this app is just very slow and i have very fast internet..
Features and service was ok and nothing…
Features and service was ok and nothing too special during the period of subscription. However, be warned if you ever decide to subscribe to the services - which includes the social schedular Plann .
if you cancel your subscription -
1. You will encounter walls and hurdles trying to access past invoices. They'll try to con you into resubscribing with a free trial - during which you STILL WON'T BE ABLE TO ACCESS YOUR INVOICES. But also, if you DON'T say yes to the free trial, the link to billing section is LITERALLY NOT THERE
2. Doesn't matter if you cancelled the services before the renewal period. They WILL ABSOLUTELY try to charge you for it and then lock you out of you account until you pay the ransom.
Was originally feeling pretty neutral about them but this is horrible and absolutely disgusting behaviour. Definitely not going to consider signing up again in future.
This app has been VERY inconvenient
This app has been VERY inconvenient. People have stated they’ve ordered Ritual vitamins using my link and code…I’m not getting commission. I deleted the link because I feel it’s a scam. Payouts are way over 5 months past due. Customer service is not accessible. After my final payout, I’m canceling this altogether…if I ever get it.
Double Charged Premium + Support Does Not Respond + Never Got Paid
I was double charged for premium support. Support does not respond. I was promised $497. They never sent me the money. I beg them everyday to help...

They refused to refund me $222 even though I haven't used the platform. They didn't send me an email stating they would be charging me again.
Prompt & Kind response
Super prompt response - even though it turned out the error wasn't a major one. Also, very kind in their tone. Much appreciated.

Resolved my issue
I had an issue redesigning my linktree page and asked for help on the site, which they then provided. They followed up with an email where I was able to get the answer to another question I had. Everything was done in a very timely and helpful manner.
