Great clinician but horrible scheduling experience... I am a substitute teacher and frequently called in for unexpected absences. When that happened last week over the weekend I immediately notified my clinician that I couldn't make my Monday appointment. But because I cancelled "on a non-business day, less than 48 hours before my appointment", I was nicked for $75 anyway for a "missed appointment." No leeway, no exceptions! I immediately cancelled all my remaining appointments and am now looking for other therapy providers.

I accompanied my significant other to his first appointment with Jodie Ingersoll, NP, at LifeStance located in Bedford, New Hampshire. When we first entered the office, she was not warm and inviting during the whole appointment. She informed us that she did not review the medications with the patients through the computer system because it was the patient’s responsibility to keep track of their prescription refills and inform her through the LifeStance Patient Portal when patients needed refills. She would ask my significant other open-ended questions regarding his injuries and chronic pain, he would answer her questions, and she would inform him that she had nothing to do with his chronic pain or injuries. We wondered why she was asking the questions in the first place if she had nothing to do with it or didn’t have time during the appointment to discuss it. After approximately thirty minutes, she informed us that she had other patients waiting, had no more time to discuss anything further even to review prescriptions with my significant other, and hurried us out of her office. The second appointment with Jodie Ingersoll, NP, did not go any better, she informed him she would refer him to another provider, and when my significant other returned to our vehicle, he was very upset. We lodged a formal complaint through LifeStance online, then my significant other received a letter from Jodie Ingersoll, NP, reading he did not agree with the treatment plan and was terminated as a patient from LifeStance. We called to speak with a manager at LifeStance and was informed by the manager that the patient was not terminated because of the online complaint, but it clearly was retaliation against my significant other’s online complaint. Jodie Ingersoll, NP, was very impolite, unprofessional, and unfriendly during both appointments and the management of LifeStance would do nothing about the provider’s unprofessional conduct. LifeStance is a big corporation, they do not care about the patients, and they only care about how many patients they can see during the day to bill health insurance companies for money. My advice is to seek other MH facilities and stay clear of LifeStance.

This is now the second provider I’ve had an issue with. I literally just scheduled a mental health appointment with her less than a month ago, and on the day of my appointment, I’m told she’s no longer with the company. That’s frustrating, especially since she had to have known ahead of time. The first provider was also a quick turnaround, so at this point I’m not sure if it’s the company or what, but it doesn’t feel reliable. On top of that, they still try to charge me for the visit even though I never got to see her, which makes it even worse. Based on my experience, I’d recommend looking into a different provider or company.

I have really enjoyed having Lindsay as my therapist. She very quickly created a safe, nonjudgmental space for me to explore my emotions. She is understanding, kind, and very attentive. I’ve often had difficulty connecting with therapists, but I feel Lindsay’s unique professional experiences match well with my life and work experiences. This brings greater understanding and more fruitful sessions for me. Her patience and care when she reflects and responds to my challenges is very much appreciated. Her responses have resonated with me. I have felt much more balanced since working with Lindsay, and I’m so happy the universe sent her my way.

Recommend this service. It is user-friendly and utilizes a standardized platform for telehealth, Zoom, which simplifies the process. In contrast, other telehealth services I have tried have web applications that malfunction when receiving alerts, notifications, or incoming text or calls. This interference with video and audio/mic functionality is caused by banner notifications it seems and can kill a session— even in “silent” mode.

My provider was excellent. The live stance cancellation policy is beyond unacceptable. When you are dealing with mental health issues, a cancellation policy that requires two days advance simply doesn’t work.

Good communication with office scheduling and my therapist zoom visits.
You make things easy and I appreciate that.

I have had great success with two different providers. Be prepared to work with a billing department that is completely incompetent. For all of my visits this year I was charged a copay despite having a copay of $0. They continue to bill me for each visit despite knowing I am not responsible so now I have a balance that is erroneous. I had a visit in January where I paid a copay but LifeStance never submitted this visit to my insurance company so I am unable to get my money back until the insurance claim is processed. I have called many, many, many times to ask them to submit a claim from over 3 months and they still haven’t done it.
