Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 298 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People consistently experienced terrible product failures, such as broken appliance parts, leaking washing machines, and malfunctioning screens shortly after purchase. Consumers also found the customer support teams completely unhelpful and rude when trying to resolve these ongoing problems. Some reviewers were happy with certain aspects of the televisions, praising the bright colors, modern design, and clear picture quality. Other buyers noted that the initial setup and basic functions met expectations when the devices were operating properly, though these positive experiences were often overshadowed by widespread hardware and service complaints.

LG customer service is abysmal, absolutely shameful.

Brought an American fridge freezer from you and it broke in a couple years. Had almost £400 of food lost and haven’t heard from you in 8 weeks with still a broken fridge freezer. It’s the hottest time of the year and we’re left without the ice and the fridge keeps messing up too so that’s making everything go warm. The service is absolutely awful!

Awful company, useless customer service and terrible products. Wouldn’t buy from you again if I needed to.

Machine stopped after five months.

LG Washing Machine stopped after five months.

Complained but John Lewis gave me a bot “Weird Kevin” AI , so couldn't speak to a human being. Just Irritatingly went round on a loop. Grok AI certain it was AL.

LG was absolutely no help as Weird Kevin said i must make my own appointments with them. UNTRUE. ..according to grok who read the John Lewis T&C’s

Made appt - engineer didn't turn up and got the usual excuse “called but he couldn't find you”

Must have dodged our three security cameras

Trafficking plan supplied showed he didn't leave the depot.

Once you know that a company is run by heartless AL (John Lewis), or people who practically calll you a liar (LG) , don't ever buy anything from them again.

Surprisingly had much better luck with Amazon

Suggest it will overtake JL in the next five years.

Because if you treat your customers appallingly , they will just go elsewhere, once you’ve lost your reputation.

Washing machine broke within 3 years

Washing machine broke within 3 years. Took two months of fighting to get an engineer. Gave up and bought a new washing machine. A few hours later the engineer calls to arrange a visit. Not worth the faff. They'll grind you down to avoid paying for a repair. Two months without a washing machine is brutal.

Would not buy another LG washing machine

Brought an LG washing machine with 2 years warranty but 15 months later a drum paddle broke which was fixed but 3 months later the machine was leaking, a second engineer come out found the leak and told me that a screw had gone thought the drum and it was probably from the first fix because they snaped a screw off to take the paddle out and left the screw in the drum. LG left me with no washing machine for 2.5 weeks and then told me that they are not fix it.

Bad servise experience from LG

My washing machine is still under warranty, and I paid for a repair two months ago. Since then, I have been chasing your customer service, but no one has responded or resolved the issue.

On one occasion, I was given a repair appointment, so I stayed home all day waiting for the engineer. Unfortunately, no one turned up, and I received no explanation or update. This wasted my entire day.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I have received. Despite repeated attempts to contact your team, my washing machine is still not repaired.

This has been a very frustrating experience, and based on the poor service I have received, I will never buy an LG product again. I expect this issue to be resolved as soon as possible.

I Hate my new LG Smart TV

I hate my new LG smart tv. Everything is so complicated especially the Magic Remote. I've still not worked out how to find subtitles as there's no button. I think you have to find it in settings each time. LG do not provide a manual for either tv or remote. Wish I'd stayed with Samsung
Unless you are a technical expert don't choose the LG brand

A bunch of clowns

A bunch of clowns , had a fault with the tv , which was a few months old , was told to speak to lg support , language issues and a very poor line , did sort of solve it at the time , same fault came up not long after , called again a language barrier , they were asking for an invoice ? I sent the receipt to them , they said that was no good ??? , I was messed around and fobbed off by a bunch of clowns , very unimpressed , very poor .... sorry non existent customer services , for such a large company , a very poor decision made by them to resolve faults which will put buyers off ☹️☹️

guarantee is useless, avoid

Bought a washing machine advertised with extra warranty/guarantee thinking it'd be decent quality for them to offer that and also great to have the back up of quick repair. Currently been without a washing machine for two weeks and no updates forthcoming. No confirmation if I can use it whilst waiting, worried I'll void the guarantee if I do.

£2,500 TV, 5 Months of Frustration, Still No Permanent Fix

1 Star – Fantastic Picture Quality Let Down by a Persistent Fault and Poor Customer Service

I purchased an LG OLED65G54LW on 24 February 2026 for approximately £2,500, expecting a premium television and a premium customer experience. Unfortunately, nearly five months later, I still have a TV with an unresolved fault and a deeply frustrating experience with LG customer services.

The TV has an intermittent audio fault where the sound cuts out completely for around a second before returning. Once the problem starts occurring, it happens every 2–3 minutes, making the TV virtually impossible to enjoy. The only reliable way to stop it is to unplug the TV and reboot it, after which it may behave normally again for days or even weeks before the fault inevitably returns.

Before anyone suggests external equipment, let me be absolutely clear: this is not caused by a soundbar, external speakers, or connected devices. The issue occurs even when there are no external audio devices connected at all.

LG have already sent engineers to repair the television, yet the fault continues to occur. The intermittent nature of the issue appears to make it difficult for them to diagnose, but that shouldn't become the customer's problem—especially after spending £2,500 on what is supposed to be one of LG's flagship OLED models.

What has been most disappointing is LG's handling of the situation. After almost five months of emails, phone calls, engineer visits and endless explanations, LG's current proposal is to take the TV away for an undefined period of time while they attempt to identify the problem. Even more remarkably, they have stated they will not provide a temporary replacement television while they do so.

To be clear, I'm not asking for a refund, a discount, or an upgrade to a newer model. My expectations are very simple: I want the television I paid for to work properly. That should not be an unreasonable request when spending this kind of money.

The ongoing fault, the inability to permanently fix it, and the painfully slow and customer-unfriendly support process have completely overshadowed any positives. I have found LG's customer service and repair procedures to be excruciatingly difficult to deal with, and the whole experience has left me with very little confidence in the brand.

For a product in this price bracket, both the reliability and after-sales support have been extremely disappointing. I cannot recommend LG based on my experience.

I purchased directly from the LG UK…

I purchased directly from the LG UK website. The television was only 2 years old and developed a power hardware fault. The red standby light is lit, but the television completely fails to power on, despite performing a complete system hard reset.
LG Electronics UK washed their hands saying that it was outside the one year warranty and quote me a price for repair higher that what I paid for the TV originally. I escalated to Ombudsman

Extremely lazy customer service attitude

Of course my review on the LG website was rejected, therefore posting here for transparency.

Extremely lazy customer service attitude
Delivery team refused to deliver upstairs, citing liability from previous experiences. They did not bother to measure the space. I raised this concern with LG, sending them precise measurements of the space, showing how delivery was possible. LG customer service response was to state that a refund was already being processed, and they won't be attempting redelivery. I asked whether the item could be delivered to ground floor, so I could take it up at my own expense, and they rejected this too. I've never come across such a poor attitude, and such little resolve to find a solution. I shudder to think how obstructive they'd be if machine needed servicing in the future - I've dodged a bullet! Avoid.

LG "Life's Good" they say..

LG "Life's Good" they say...

If I could give no stars, I'd strip them from any! LG take the top spot of companies to avoid unless you thrill over a gamble.

They are completely untrustworthy, unprofessional, disorganised and a total SCAM, if LG was a person it would be that painful excuse maker who avoids accountability at any and all costs.

They're a "big" brand name' right? The last thing you think is getting screwed over without consent, so Trustpilot was not on my To Do List before making such a purchase.

Resolve' is foreign language to them. It's been well over 6 weeks and I am still yet to receive the full refund from an item I never had the "pleasure" of receiving...

the couriers they use are useless, in fact' they definitely lied on their resumé. After the day was almost over, when they saw the stairs to my flat they ran that fast they forgot to take their bodies, I mean...you know what you're signing up for when you take on the job, I paid for two people to remove my broken fridge freezer and to install the new one...yet they had to get the manager to call me to translate they ain't doing it...getting blagged by Kiev for them only being insured to lift a certain weight, yet they had already gone up a set of stairs to get it in the properties hallway in the first place (HUH) then they said they'll be back the next day with 3 people, which made no sense to me yet I considered the alternative. Anyway, I won't bore you with the rest yet as you can imagine this was only the beginning of a torture method I'm sure they source from CIA files.

(I had to call them for updates of what the resolve would be, stupidly keen to still go ahead just because I wanted a fancy knock on fridge freezer, vanity fired back big style)

Once the cat got tired of playing with the mouse they told me they decided not to go ahead and canceled order after a week of messing me around. I made more calls to this company than I did to my ghost ex partner, you can't speak to a manager nor will they ever get one to contact you as if you're asking to meet face to face with yakuza or something like that.

Unless you want a story or a traumatic experience to harmonise I suggest it's not the wisest of choices to make dealings with what should be rephrased LONG GONE, with all your money! I want my energy and time compensated for, we have scores to settle LG...I won't forgot, so ;-) right back you! C*NTS

LG are really disgusting people

LG are really disgusting people. Bought a washing machine with installation and removal of the old one. The new one installed still had brackets on it and caused a massive leak with thousands of pounds worth. Case is being handled by a solicitor now. They provided zero help. Disgusting people with fake promises of 'you will receive an email'. Really unpleasant purchase. Never again would I buy LG again, I will also be making a Youtube video about the whole experience once the case is settled.

Wasted 2 hours with LG customer…

Wasted 2 hours with LG customer support. Led me down the garden path doing ridiculous things with my 5 year old OLED tvwhen it had no power. Offered no solution at the end saying the TV was too old and they wouldn't have any spare parts for it . I spoke to a local engineer who said it was a common fault an d replaced the power pack in 10 minutes. LG never once mentioned this common fault, absolutely clueless.

LG American Fridge Freezer.

Bought a LG American Fridge Freezer around December 2019 through Appliance Direct and just after about four and half years ( July 2024) it broke down then inverter motor caused the fan to crumble but obviously LG didn’t want to to cover their own motor issues so had to pay, and now (May 2026) its broken down again beyond repair and warranty.

Be very careful as when LG stuff Breaks down they blame it on some other stuff that has happened then charge you and fix the item that should have been replaced by warranty.

Poor service

I recently acquired a new LG TV through an insurance claim. Having previously had a LG TV i specifically asked for this make.
WHAT A MISTAKE.
It's the worst TV I've ever had! Huge regrets being loyal to this company. I was promised a call by the technical department but this never came to fruition.
Why? I'm tired of companies not giving good service...persistently!!
