Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 298 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People consistently experienced terrible product failures, such as broken appliance parts, leaking washing machines, and malfunctioning screens shortly after purchase. Consumers also found the customer support teams completely unhelpful and rude when trying to resolve these ongoing problems. Some reviewers were happy with certain aspects of the televisions, praising the bright colors, modern design, and clear picture quality. Other buyers noted that the initial setup and basic functions met expectations when the devices were operating properly, though these positive experiences were often overshadowed by widespread hardware and service complaints.

Although my new LG OLED TV seems…

Although my new LG OLED TV seems wonderful for the moment it is severely let down since LG smart TVs do not currently support a native U application. I like to watch a lot of TV shows on channel 20 but that is impossible with my new LG OLED TV. Lots and lots of other apps which are not relevant to me but missing the vital U app. To me an obvious ploy (finance involved?) to stop me watching channel 20 for free. Shame on LG for selling such a poor television - but do they care? Probably not.

One of the worst after-sales…

One of the worst after-sales experiences I have ever had.

I raised a genuine concern about an authorised engineer's visit after the engineer informed both my husband and me that no repair was required because the appliance had already started working again. We were present throughout the entire visit and no repair has been being carried out.

To my surprise, I later discovered that the engineer's report stated that the Main PCB had been replaced. I challenged this immediately, and repeatedly requested that LG arrange an independent inspection by a different engineer. Instead of carrying out an impartial investigation, LG simply chose to rely on the original engineer's report and repeatedly refused my request for an independent inspection, advising me to pay for my own engineer if I wished to dispute their findings.

The authorised repair company (A.N.D Domestics LTD) has ignored my complaint completely despite repeated attempts to contact them and allowing more than 3 weeks to pass without any response.

What has disappointed me most is not just the outcome, but the way I have been treated throughout this process. My concerns were never independently investigated and I was effectively expected to prove that LG's own authorised engineer's report was inaccurate at my own expense.

For a global brand such as LG, I expected honesty, transparency and a fair complaints process. Instead, I experienced poor customer service, a lack of accountability and a complete unwillingness to independently investigate a serious concern regarding one of their authorised engineers.
Based on my experience, I have lost confidence in both LG's after-sales support and its authorised repair network, and I would think very carefully before purchasing another LG appliance.

Bought AI washer dryer and first drying…

Bought AI washer dryer and first drying burnt my linen. Machine was so hot it could not be touched, and the top plastic frame deformed. Contacted customer support and they told me I will get reimbursed and will receive email regarding pickup. No comms for a week, called them, told the request was not processed and that I need to contact tech support first and get their approval. Waited for half an hour, to be asked the same questions for the 3rd time, only to be told it would take 2 business days for them to make a decision. I asked for an email confirming this, and I was told they will send email to the “email department” to send me an email of confirmation, that would up to 2 business days. Ridiculous support! Cannot use washing for 10 days now due to fire risk. Do not buy from LG. Do not buy LG washer/dryer.

LG washing machine Health warning…

LG are selling washing machines in the UK that are not fit for purpose - to wash clothes without wrecking the home. Only after purchase does their literature 'suggest' that the machines are not suitable for use on wooden floors. It has been estimated 85% of uk homes have wooden/hardboard floors. My machine causes violent vibration through my kitchen. LG so-called 'repair' man came and tried to blame irrelevant things about the installation (hose, gaps..),and attempted to gas-light me - detestable. Their UK(?) customer service is a call centre in the Philippines, where they follow algorithmic 'rules' that stop at 'machine meets spec', 'It's an installation/wooden floor issue'. they just take you in circles - pathetic. They do not tell customers up-front that it will vibrate violently when doing a normal wash on normal UK floors. DO NOT GET INVOLVED with LG, you will regret it if you expect REAL customer service. BTW- I do not agree with LG '1' on Trustpilot, rating, it should be -1000!

Very angry person who made a big mistake.

The TV is good except for the Alexa app that keeps popping up

The TV is good although the sound is a bit weak. However, my main bugbear are the Alexa pages which keep popping up unrequested. The Alexa app is fixed in the list of Apps and can't be removed. I've tried various fixes suggested on the web but none work. It's extremely annoying as I could be watching a programme and Alexa pops up. The only way to get rid of it is to shut the TV down, and then try and find my way back to the programme I was watching. I won't be getting another LG unless this gets fixed.

Absolutely diabolical , a disgrace, a premium OLED TV on the scrap heap at 6 years old

My six year old premium OLED TV costing around £1400 six years ago has broken.
The display panel and screen are working properly but it has developed a persistent software loop telling me the pixel refresher cycle was interrupted. I have followed all trouble shooting advice from LG support and the result was it needs a repair from their authorized repair shop.
They quoted around £450 to £500. Its not worth the risk to spend this much ,over a third of the original cost on a TV that must have shoddy parts inside it.
It is completely unacceptable for a TV costing so much to buy to be treated as disposable after such a short time. Its is also unacceptable to be quoted such a high price for a simple software glitch caused by an internal part breaking. LG never again, ever

Why so many BAD REVIEWS about LG tv

I am curious to know what LG UK are doing about the bad reviews. I purchased 2 LG OLED tvs- LG OLED 48C5 & LG OLED 48G5- spent thousands of pounds, but I am still having problems with normal tv viewing. My advice to customers do not even think of buying a LG tv. Not worth the stress & hassle

E-Waste salesmen

Ordered direct from their site, and recieved a faulty monitor (Screen constantly flickers, even when not connected to an input). Couldn't request a repair using their portal because the data it auto- entered for me 'wasn't valid'. When I eventually got through I spent over a week being asked for the same info over and over by a support technician using a grovelling AI, to have my ticket closed, no support offered. Don't buy from here. Their products don't work, and neither does their support.

I do not trust LG warranty:

The Washing Machine I purchased went wrong after 6 weeks. I asked for a replacement as concerned as hardly used and it could happen again. LG said no. I had the same problem at least three times.

The last week of the warranty I had a new peoblem. They refused to repair as they had comenced the paperwork to end warranty. I had to send many emails but nothing changed.

In the end I contacted the U Directors. The machine repair date was arranged immediately.

I would never buy LG white goods again.

LG is the worst and bad

I bought an LG TV from retailer and soundbar from LG website. Wowcast doesn'twork, their support in not knowledgeable about their product and kept pushing you to buy a dongle. Lol tv is much smarter to tell them that dongle is not required. OMG. This makes more sense to me now. Their support is the worst. The agent is so bad and doesn't understand the word I am telling her. 🤣 If I known this. I wouldn't buy from LG. Stay away from this company, I thought they have a good reputation which I was wrong. I am returning both item and will go different brands.

I purchased an LG washing machine 3…

I purchased an LG washing machine 3 years ago , it has flooded our kitchen 3 times , all damage has been paid for by us , after 2 repairs and the 3rd flood I asked for a replacement or refund , after 6 weeks going back and forth with customer services , myself having to do all the chasing , I had an email to say there was no fault and therefore they would not replace / refund me even though we had to replace flooring , kick boards and skirting boards 3 times out of our own pockets .
Washing machine is utter rubbish it cost us over £550 and customer services couldn't care less , I will never buy one of their products again

The only reason I am giving them a…

The only reason I am giving them a rating of one star is because there isn’t an option to leave a zero rating. I purchased a LG top loader washer it’s the absolute worst washer I have ever purchased. Three months after I purchased it I started noticing black streaks on my clothes. I have tried self cleaning the thing several times with one or two loads no issues and back to black streaks. I called customer service and the lady I spoke to was no help. I will never purchase another LG appliance again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

A Sanitation and Hygiene Disaster

"A Sanitation and Hygiene Disaster - Avoid LG Washing Machines""The 'AI Eco-programming' on these modern LG machines (like the F4C510WBTN1) is an absolute joke. It does not wash clothes; it ruins them. The machine restricts water to a miserable trickle that is less than a urine stream, leaving clothes to spin in a dry, friction-heavy dampness.Because there is never a deep pool of water, standard laundry detergent capsules cannot dissolve. They turn into a sticky chemical blob that gets ironed into your fabrics, permanently tattooing grey dirt into your clothes and blankets. The soap only finally dissolves during the final cold rinsemeaning your laundry finishes the cycle covered in raw, concentrated chemicals. This is a severe hygiene and chemical hazard, especially for a disabled person or anyone trying to wash biological waste or pet bedding. LG has ruined my wardrobe and created a piece of junk that is entirely unfit for purpose. Avoid this brand at all costs."

I bought an LG Washing Machine in March…

I bought an LG Washing Machine in March 2025.
It developed an OE fault, so I went to check the water filter and unclog it, as per instructions.
The filter drawer broke apart although I had been extremely careful with it. I am now stuck with a useless washing machine as I have been told by LG they don't cover the water filter because it has a foreign object stuck in it.
I said I couldn't get the filter open, so how did they know this. I was told it was from their experience. I repeated that how was it a foreign object when it was a filter designed to catch fluff, etc from clogging up the machine. I didn't know the reason or what was in there because it wasnt opening.
Basically I was told that I had to get get it fixed and, if it was a faulty product, they may reimburse me.
What a waste of time.....and effort. LG warranty isn't worth anything. Very dishonourable.
Thankfully I had taken out an insurance policy on the ***** machine.

Very disappointed with LG delivery…

Very disappointed with LG delivery service and customer support

I placed an order for an LG 55-inch NanoCell AI NANO81 4K Smart TV and was expecting delivery within the confirmed timeframe. Unfortunately, the delivery did not arrive as scheduled.

After contacting the delivery company, I was informed that there was a system/scanner issue and they were unable to locate the parcel. I then contacted LG Customer Services and explained the situation. I was advised that the delivery would be rearranged for a new date.

However, I later received notification that the rearranged delivery had been cancelled because LG and the courier were investigating the missing parcel.

I find this extremely disappointing. I paid for my order and have been left waiting due to an internal issue between LG and their delivery partner. The inconvenience has been passed on to the customer, despite the problem not being caused by me. I also had to make arrangements to be available for delivery, which was wasted time.

I expected better communication and customer service from LG. I hope LG reviews its delivery process and works with its courier partners to ensure customers are not left waiting when issues occur.

Utter utter garbage

Utter utter garbage, tv stopped working due to clock of death which they insidiously fix into the workings to eventually kick in and ruin it, it’s not fixable so I took it out to the garden and smashed the hell out of it with my huge axe.
If I had to guess what country this garbage was cobbled together in I’d say Afghanistan.

Truly the absolute pits.
