What exactly is a legal subscription service?
Instead of paying a lawyer by the hour, pay a small monthly or annual fee and get access to a law firm that can advise you on a variety of legal issues—but without a huge bill.
What is covered under the Personal LegalShield Membership?
As a LegalShield Member, you get access to a variety of legal services, in general, including: advice on an unlimited number of personal legal issues, letters or calls made on your behalf, contract and document review (starting at up to 15 pages each) and more. If your personal legal issue is not a fully covered benefit, as a LegalShield Member, your Provider Law Firm can consult with you and provide additional referral services necessary to assist you at a discounted rate of the provider lawyer's standard hourly rate.
How can I access my legal team in an emergency?
Access after-hours legal consultation for covered personal legal emergencies such as an arrest or detainment, if you’re seriously injured in an automobile accident, or if you’re served with a warrant. Just call 1-877-825-3797 to speak to a representative 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also log in to the LegalShield mobile app and select Call Emergency Line to make your call.
What is LegalShield's cancellation policy?
LegalShield is a monthly legal subscription service, and our members have the right to cancel at any time. Per our company policy, all cancellation requests must be provided in writing. The easiest way to cancel is by emailing us at support@legalshieldcorp.com with your name, membership number, phone number, and your request to cancel the membership.
For annual memberships, you may cancel any time after your first 12 months. If you would like to speak to someone about options to maintain your membership, please call as soon as possible to keep any pre-trial hours or other benefits you may have accumulated at (844)-714-8494 between 7-7 CST Monday-Friday, and a member of our team would be happy to help.

What a scam
What a scam!
I have been paying $28 a month since since 2020!!! 6 years!!!!! $2,000! My husband and I were starting an LLC and finally had a reason to use our Legal Sheild Services. First of all, no one called back for days! In fact my husband had to call multiple times to even get anyone to call us back. Then when he finally did get a lawyer on the phone to ask about LLC questions, the lawyer said “I don’t have time for this, I have a lot of calls to make today” are you kidding me!!!!!! Please don’t waste your money, I coulda been investing $28 a month. Please don’t be dumb like we were. This is the biggest waste of money. When you sign up they don’t tell you that know one even calls you back when you actually need help. You are on their time and when it’s convenient for them. It’s not a service for the consumer. It’s a money pit. Cancel asap! In fact we ended up using a completely different service for our LLC. Couldn’t deliver one phone call of advice after 6 years of paying..smh. Shame on you Legalsheild

I have never regretted my subscription to Legal Shield. They have saved me money and referred me to lawyers that fixed my birth certificate and resolved a workers comp case. I am 100% satisfied with Legal Shield.

Impossible to cancel their service.
This company does not have attorneys for any of the cases they advertise online. It is a lie. All they seem to have attorneys for is to make a will. When I was offered their service, I was told they have an attorney for my case and that it will be covered with the premium account, and I will be paying a very minimum fee for my case. A few days later, a law firm contacted me and said they were referred by LegalShield. They then said that they put their own fees, which is higher than any other law firm I was interviewed with. Legashield does not set prices for them. Basically, this was a scam, and now it is impossible to cancel their service. When I call them, they do not want to cancel it for me. Instead, they ask me if I already have a will or if I need an attorney to help me with it. They totally try to ignore my request for cancellation and tell me to send an email to instead and request it through there. It has been three months, and I still cannot cancel the account. They still charge my credit card. Do not sign up with this company.

Do not subscribe. Their service is not worth the headache, and their business model feels built around making it easy to sign up and painfully difficult to leave. In my experience, the whole setup feels misleading, pushy, and designed to keep charging people even after they no longer want the membership. The value is questionable, the customer service is exhausting, and once they have your payment information, good luck getting out cleanly.
Canceling was the worst part. I had to go through three representatives, each giving me a different excuse or obstacle. One claimed my name did not match their records, another gave vague nonsense about my membership, and then they tried to tell me I needed to send a physical fax to cancel. Eventually, I was sent to a recorded message with an email address and told my cancellation would only count if they “accepted” it. Otherwise, I could be billed again next month. That is not normal customer service. It feels like a trap, and I strongly recommend staying away.
