L&G were very professional and managed…

L&G were very professional and managed my replacement life assurance due to changes in my circumstances. They showed sympathy in dealing with me and guided me through the number of questions that are neccessary for a life policy. Even small corrections after discussions with my doctor were easily achieved through the account app and happily resulted in a reduced premium but with an extended life term

"Income protection"....Buyer beware.

I took out an "income protection" scheme which completely failed to protect my income. I had two months off work following a hip replacement only to be told I "didn't suffer a loss of income". As the principal money earner in a small business whose bank account dropped ~£9K during that period, I find that insulting on several levels. Please look carefully at the small print, T&Cs, legal caveats etc if you are considering taking out a policy. Short of being off work for many months or approaching bankruptcy, it is hard to imagine who this scheme would benefit.

Took 6 months for my claim not to go through

My mortgage broker took out the income
Protection insurance, however it should never have been taken out as I had issues with mental health. Took 6 months for legal and general to tell me there wasn’t a claim. Will never use this company again

Problem solved

As I said before I was treated politely and with empathy. The lady on the other end of the phone told me very clearly what she was going to do to help me. She was true to her word.

Absolute shambles of a company. Told on the phone the department I need does not take calls and constant failure over 3 weeks and 4 e mails and 22 complaints to respond once. Now a month later and still not one response recieved.

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have been disappointed with your experience.

As no personal or policy details have been provided in your review, we are unable to investigate the specific circumstances you have described. However, our records show that the annuity was set up on 31/07/2026 and the policy documentation was issued to the financial adviser (IFA) by email on the same date.

We would recommend contacting your adviser directly, as they should be able to provide you with an update and copies of the documentation issued. Alternatively, if your enquiry relates to annuity payments, you can contact our Payment Services team on 0345 766 0813, who will be happy to assist.

If you would like us to investigate your concerns further, please contact us directly with your policy details and we will review the matter.

Kind regards,

Shakila
