I had no problems with the reps on the phone. I was very surprised to see how small the gold coins and “gold bar” were when we got them in the mail. We paid a lot of money for these coins that certainly do not appear to be worth over $1,000 a piece. The “gold bar “ is just a small spot of gold and it really should not be called a bar

Lear Capital has mishandled my account. I requested disposal of my metals over two months ago. No check, no metal. Their coordination with Equity Trust, the custodian of the metal has been abysmal. Their customer service with me has been frustrating at best. The excuses are lame.
Judge Andrew Napolitano, I invested with Lear because you said they are a good company. Maybe you should check them a little closer.

Apparently my complaint was worthy of only an automated response. Calling or writing customer service is a fool’s errand. No one answers. I leave messages and any response is either finger pointing to someone else but more likely, it’s simply ignored. The delays in processing my request are inexcusable.

It’s now March 19th, more than 90 days since my request to disburse funds from my account. Equity Trust the (IRA custodian)has acknowledged they are processing my request since early March. I’m still waiting and getting nothing but excuses. If you think having a hard money IRA is a good idea, I’m telling you to rethink it! Equity Trust is not a bank. It’s a vault. Your metals should be stacked up collecting dust. But, are they?Consider for a moment, we buy hard money for the possibility of appreciation but also for financial security. There’s little security and even less trust when it takes days, weeks and now months to get a disbursement.

Ira Silver was extremely knowledgeable, transparent and helpful with everything I needed to set up my account. He was efficient and a pleasure to speak with as well. This should be the Gold Standard for customer service (pardon the pun). Sincerely, VT.

Raad knew who I was and what I had ordered before. He was able to get the same coin. Everything went very smooth, plus the coins arrived on schedule.

Our agent was very knowledgeable, helpful and insightful, and presented us with a great plan. He had great follow-thru and explained each step clearly.

I was deceived by LEAR and their salesman.
Also, The Prophecy Club. A Christian program I used to listen to on AM radio.
They were ad affiliated.
I purchased $13,000 in gold when it was around $450 an oz. I waited until gold was over $1000 an oz before I sold it.
LEAR only offered me $10,000 after holding it for nearly 3 years. I had a family emergency and had to sell and lost $3000.
One more thing. It feels like yesterday!

I bought 13 coins but my account only has 6 coins. My rep refuses to do anything about it, so right now I am suspecting fraud.

As a first timer, purchasing metals, the Lear associate Dmetri assisted me in the process from beginning to end. I was treated with respect and care.

My agent, Dimitri Koontz took the time to explain to me my options for investing in silver. The process was professional at every level. When my silver arrived it was securely encased in 3 levels of packaging which though difficult to open it demonstrated care taken in making sure my package arrived and was secure.

İ checked online pricing today at Jan 28 2026 1pm and it showed $5990. When gold price listed on wall street as $5296.20 that is a huge difference why would anyone buy gold here?
