There seem to be real people on the site (saying they are women), but the site quickly makes it impossible to communicate with them or respond to their messages. When I give my email address to communicate without charge, they say "oh no, I like chatting in the site" or similar reasons. To message within the site costs 2 "lanacoins", and you can purchase 20 for $5. NO FREE COINS.
That's 50 cents per message. Quite a tidy little money machine. With such a setup, it is unlikely any of the "women" are not involved professionally with the web page. If this website had integrity, it would allow some minimal low level of chats without charge, or provide a minor weekly gift of coins, or similar.
This is just another scam fake dating site designed to sell you fairy farts.

Most of them are unresponsive and even if they were to respond they feel shallow at best. Like they exist only to drain my money. Pricing is bad, for what you can out of it. Bad pricing limits the apps future
This platform delivers cheerful and approachable chatting experience. The UI and interface are nice looking, with robust filters in place, that ensures that I am able to find what I want to. I enjoyed engaging with a lot of people and overall i have had a very positive vibe here. While I feel that free tier is garbage, with app almost from the start pushes you to pay. And don't get me started on pricing. It's understandable why that is so, but common, let us enjoy for a little bit more, when we are just starting using it. Despite its shortcomings, I think it's able to create a pleasant space for casual chatting and light-hearted connections, but with pricing that is not so easy pill to swallow.

So much of the features needs polish and improvement.
Lanadate is a decent platform for chatting, making friends, and maybe more, but there are a lot of problems, which make it not so desirable to use.
Positives are UI, filters, and preferences. UI is clean and easy to take used to. Filters and preferences allows you to simmer out people, with whom you want to engage to, which save money for your wallet.
But problems are so severe. Firstly, prices are ridiculous. I am not a money printing machine. I cannot pay every time I want to drop a message. Expand the free tier to at least allow you to start conversations with any profile, and maybe then ask for money. And about chatting overall. Don't get me started. A lot of bots, fake females, whom I can find through the web photo search easily. You need to clamp down on that, and don't hide behind support, you can make verification more advanced. It would eliminate them all together
The app overall is solid, but the problems it has are enormous. If it were fixed, I would return and give it another go.

Scam Alert - Starts subtle then boom!
Basically Signed up, was bombarded with messages from the off, so it's a scam, if you were to reply to everyone you would run out of credits fast, then they gift you a few more credits on the cheap, then after you are bombarded with more messages to rinse the cheap ones you just been gifted, so the bots just give you enough to keep you going, after answering really uninspiring questions about my family and pets etc... I was rinsed, just before it asked me for a replen of coins for now £39.99 or £79.99 I gave someone my number just in case we got cut off, and guess what, nothing, in my view this is nothing more than a scam, and reading all the messages here, no one has said they found anything substantial or long lasting, ethically I can't support a platform like this, truly awful business model and way of exploiting people....

I recently came across LanaDate.com. It looks like a new site, and my first impression was that it seemed alright. The design is modern and clean, but honestly, it feels a lot like other dating sites where you have to pay for almost every message. I tried out the free trial to see if there would be any promising matches, but none of the profiles I found really stood out to me. It might be worth exploring more, but I’m on the fence about committing financially for now.
