Kamloops store is worst store for poor service the two young ones at the front counter very unprofessional argued when I returned something had the receipt didn’t even really look at the receipt just went into my account for being a paying customer. I should not have to argue with young kids at the front desk. I would rather drive to Vernon KMS instead of dealing with the ones In Kamloops

Always great experience when I go to KMS in Calgary. On my latest visit the staff was very helpful in finding a particular saw rather than just telling me the aisle, which is what I had asked. The check out staff helped me fumble through an electronic gift certificate I had received for Christmas. This was just my latest visit I always find the staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

I had a hard time finding the tools here in Saskatchewan with a scope of choice. At KMS I had all the options I could dream of to choose from, good photo's on the website and it was delivered so fast and efficient.
I am so happy we have resources inside Canada that is available to us.

On Friday, January 16, 2026, around 9:00 a.m., I visited the KMS Tools store in west Edmonton(New Opening). While purchasing several tools, I asked at checkout about a product I had bought from this store about two months ago that has an issue. I wanted to know whether an exchange or a paid upgrade would be possible.
The staff member responded by saying, "Unfortunately, the person who handles customer service is not here today.” That was the only explanation I was given.
I work in the trades and regularly purchase tools from KMS Tools. This was actually the first time I have ever asked about a defective product, so this response was quite surprising.
There are two reasons this experience was disappointing.
First, the customer service system itself. It appears that whether a customer can receive service depends entirely on whether a specific person happens to be working that day. If that person is not present, customer service simply is not available. Since I have only ever made purchases here before, I was not aware of this type of system, but after experiencing it, I felt it was worth sharing.
Second, the way the situation was handled at checkout. I was only told that the customer service person was not available “today.” No additional information was offered—such as when I could return, what time would be appropriate, or which day I could speak with the right person. Being told only that it could not be done, without any guidance, was disappointing from a customer service standpoint.
Overall, I am sharing this experience to highlight that customer service at KMS Tools unfortunately appears to depend on luck—if the right person is available, you receive support; if not, customer service is simply unavailable.

I placed an order at KMStools.com, on Dec 26, 2025. All items were in stock and payment was taken from my credit card the same day. So far, I haven't seen any activity or signs that my order was even shipped! On Dec 30, 2025, I opened a ticket. There should be no need for me to push KMS Tools into shipping my order, which by the way, all items in my order were in stock.
Update, Jan 02, 2026. I made contact with online customer service, wondering why I haven't heard back on the ticket that I opened on Dec 30, 2025, and also, why has my order not yet been shipped? The gentleman that I spoke with told me that the total order was on route from their warehouse in Abbosford,BC., and that it should arrive sometime next week.
Update, Jan 06, 2026. Once again I contacted online customer service, wondering where is my order now? The female that I spoke with told me that part of my order arrived at the Calgary location and that the rest of the order is on route from another location and should arrive by Friday, but she wasn't positive. She also informed me that the website for the KMS Tools store in Calgary, is the same website used by all KMS Tools locations.

All of the staff in the front are great. Always helpful and friendly. I’m in the store frequently for body work supplies and tools. I’ve only ever had a bad experience while getting my argon tank filled. The employee in the back was not friendly at all and acted like he didn’t want me to be there. Just a bad attitude over all. I won’t be back to get my tank filled there but I’ll continue to buy tools and equipment since the staff up front are great.

The store seems to always have what I want. I could spend a couple of hours there just looking as adding things to my wish list. It is a large store and it helps that there are lot of friendly staff to help find things when needed. I enjoy coming there. A coffee bar where old guys could sit for a few and look at the Catalouge would be good…lol.

I was looking for a Canadian source for a specialized rechargeable battery and discovered KMS tools carried it. I expected the order to take over a week to arrive since it came from B.C. And I reside in Ont. It arrived the next day much to my surprise. Excellent service, competitive prices, and I will not hesitate from buying from them in the future

Very few knowledgeable staff as they experience high turnover and now hire only basic skills i.e. problem-solving/analytical abilities do NOT seem to be a requirement
UPDATE: bough a large King Canada tool from them and it's beyond warranty period so am prepared to buy parts. King Canada says KMS can help me...and KMS tells me to go to King Canada and just keeps repeating 'if its more than 1 yr old, it's not our problem'....even for $ you wont help your customers?!?
Online & Backorders are constantly messed up; staff call and say 'your order is ready for pickup' but then you go there and pieces of it have still not arrived or they simply can't find them. Or...you do pick them up and then they repeatedly call you to pick it up...several hours after you already did!
Online sales support is a joke; all they give are 'quick' answers, regardless if they are accurate or useful. Had an open support ticket and found out that they DIDNT PUT ANY DETAILS in it from what had been discussed...when I called back to follow up, they claimed that they were 'waiting for information from ME..' and that was their excuse for doing nothing...
To compound the issue, went in to the store to try to resolve a tool/fitting issue and was given excuse after excuse....the only solution provided was 'just return it'. Telling your customers to effectively 'GO AWAY' is a poor business model...
Product, yes. Service, No.
Knowledgeable and efficient service. I have dealt with KMS for years and have never had a bad experience.
