Worst credit company ever!

The last year of my truck loan their collection company called me at least twice a day to inquire about the balance of the note even though the payment was current. I am so glad to be done with them I will never use Key Bank again for anything especially not for a car loan! Stay away from Key Bank!!

The worst bank

The worst bank. I opened a Money Market Account with a promised good rate. After six months, they lowered the interest from 4% to a ridiculous 0.5% without any notification. No wonder this bank has the worst reviews. There are other banks paying much better interest rates. Besides, everything is delayed. I cancelled all my accounts. Beware. Lesson learned.

So far KeyBank has been alright my first check deposit was available the next day.
Their customer service is decent nice that it's 24/7. However called in to see about increasing the ATM limit which is a rather low $500. After giving all my information verifying my account Name Social DoB email phone ect was told thank you for verifying we've pulled up your account after asking about the atm increase they said they were unable to verify my identity? And they would have to try verifying by sending a One time code to my mobile number they asked my number I gave it to them and they said sorry we were unavailable to verify your identity so we won't be able to send the onetime code okay then why'd you ask for my number to send the code. Like how is that even possible I verified everything at the very beginning so you could bring up my account. We were both laughing as this was happening. Customer service was nice but howis that even possible?

They fraud me

They created a group on Whatsapp promising 280% reward on first investment, but bank costs are really high and no proof of what they promised, instead they made me perform operations on trading and now I'm -5000 €!!!

This is the worst bank i've ever had

This is the worst bank i've ever had.

Their business practices are awful and their customer service is not existent.

There is absolutely no reason they should need to hold my funds for this long when I deposit a check. Especially from a reputable institution that they could easily call.

I would call and complain but no one cares.

I think it's time to close this account

Talking to the bank about your money has never been harder !

I called the disputes department to file a dispute on two charges, and after multiple attempts via both phone and chat, I’m convinced they don’t understand what a dispute even is. The agents ask irrelevant questions, struggle to grasp the basic concept of a chargeback, and offer no real help. After thoroughly explaining the issue, twice, they still come back with, “And what are you disputing today and why?” It’s like they’re not listening or don’t understand the process at all.

Today, I decided to call six different local branches to see if I could file the dispute in person, since it isn’t available on the app or the website. Every single branch call went straight to voicemail, not one person answered.

I’m actively looking to change banks. It shouldn’t be this hard to talk to someone about your money.

Horrible Bank

Horrible Bank. If you invest in cryptocurrency at all stay away from KeyBank. Their system will deny every transaction where you try to deposit money into your account or purchase cryptocurrency. Customer service gives you no reason for it other than saying that their fraud alert system denies the transaction. I recently switched over to KeyBank from years at Chase where I never had a problem. Tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. I'll be closing my key bank accounts and going back to Chase.. I lost $4,500 in profits this weekend because KeyBank denied my deposits.

Filing Disputes with Key Bank is a…

Filing Disputes with Key Bank is a nightmare. I called Key Customer Service because I noticed three recurring transactions on the same day for $9.86. The tone of the dispute agent was hostile and unfriendly. She interrupted me several times during the phone call and asked the same question more than once. When I spoke to a supervisor, her demeanor was not much better and not once did she apologize for the poor experience. I have been sent a number of ‘customer experience’ surveys during my business relationship with Key Bank and I am disappointed to learn that the feedback that myself and others provide is largely overlooked.

BAD COMPANY

Awful customer service that will cost you money. I lodged a disputed charge complaint with them, provided them with irrefutable evidence that the counterparty to the transaction never delivered the goods purchased. they ruled against me, a 20 year customer based either on alleged “evidence” the counterparty furnished them with (there is none such because the counterparty failed to complete the transaction and provided me with notice of the same) OR Key is refusing to acknowledge their own mistake which may have caused the transaction to fail.

If you like losing $300 from your checking account and like dealing with argumentative people, Key is your place. Chase or Citi they most definitely are not. Stay away.

I would give a zero star if possible

I would give a zero star if possible. Key bank is exploiting it's clients y placing bogus holds on all deposited checks. I've been banking with key for over a decade without issues on my end and they still hold every check for 7 days. This is so they can use my money for their investment branch without my consent or cutting me in. The staff os extremely rude every time i call and management avoids calls like the plague. A terrible place to bank.

This is the worst corrupt bank I've ever dealt with. They are literally trying to extort me for money. They are just demanding I pay them and wire them money without any reason or paperwork stating why. The people I've been dealing are Dawn Quint and Garett Beecher they are either completely incompetent or crooks because I have correspondence covering everything I've ever done with this bank and yet they said nope none of that matters and you owe us money. They now doubled my mortgage payment. I reported them for bank fraud and am now obtaining a lawyer. I will be suing for extortion, discrimination and pain and suffering. Please stay away they are horrible racists! They are trying to take away my rights because of the color of my skin.

TL;DR KeyBank has a company-wide policy where they don’t issue provisional credit to small businesses affected by fraud until their investigation can be completed. This can take up to 90 days.

We are going through a bit of a nightmare with KeyBank right now, so I just wanted to share this as a cautionary tale for any other businesses who already have an account with them or for those businesses considering opening an account.

I’m a bit paranoid about fraud, so I check my bank accounts every day. Last Thursday morning (03/27) I checked our business checking account with them and discovered that somebody had placed two separate charges totaling over $1,800. I did not get a fraud alert, despite these charges being made to two incredibly odd vendors and being for such high dollar amounts.

I immediately flagged this to KeyBank as fraud. They locked the account, issued a new card in the mail, and said that things would be fully resolved within 90 days. “Great!” I said to myself as a closed the chat, everything was resolved.

However, the next day I checked to see that money still missing from our account. I followed up on the live chat and their verbatim response was “Upon reviewing ‘We anticipate having your dispute resolved within 90 days.’”

And so I said to clarify, do they mean that $1,800 could be missing from our account for up to 90 days and they said, “That is correct.”

At this point furious, I sent an email to our local branch manager who set our account up. He called and apologizes, saying he would escalate it and then gave me an update a few days later via email, which verbatim read, “The response I just got back from my escalation was that Business accounts will not receive provisional credit.”

Still incredulous, I followed up again with KeyBank live chat just to be sure this really was company policy, and they once again informed me that they don’t issue the money back until the investigation is completed, which can take up to 90 days.

So here I am, having just used a lot of our reserve cash to pay for tax prep and pay for taxes, now essentially unable to place new orders for our shop until this is resolved. This has caused me so much stress and really is a huge blow to us, since I manage our budget incredibly carefully and in our retail business we really need to have that cash which I had allocated to place new inventory orders. Every time I chat with another agent, they all offer the same extremely callous response that it can take up to 90 days with absolutely no sympathy for the situation.

From what I’ve read about other major banks like Chase, if something like this happened they would issue the provisional credit immediately, no questions asked, then continue their investigation on the back end.

If I had known this was KeyBanks' business policy, there is absolutely no way I would have opened an account with them. If you are a business with a KeyBank account, I highly recommend closing it immediately and switching to another bank that actually protects its customers. If you are a new business shopping around for bank options, I highly recommend not using KeyBank. I sincerely hope nobody else has to go through this.

This Bank has total disregard for the vision of consumers by blasting their TV commercials with a BRIGHT white screen background. With modern Ultra 4k TV’s the screen is literally blinding. As a result of their disregard for consumers having to deal with this poor decision of background color choice I would NEVER consider doing business with them!
