I recently used Kamro’s “Plus” recruitment service for a Senior Accountant role, paying £995 + VAT. From the start, I was led to believe they had several strong candidates ready to go, with a replacement guarantee if needed. Unfortunately, the reality was very different.

They only sent two candidates:
One lacked sufficient UK GAAP experience, making them unsuitable.
The other withdrew after the first interview due to childcare constraints, which should have been clarified before submission.

As a result, I never really had a proper chance to make a hire. I feel misled about the quality and availability of candidates, and the service didn’t live up to the terms that were initially promised. I’m now pursuing a full refund and would caution others to verify claims thoroughly before using Kamro’s services.

I’ve never applied for a job that was via a recruitment agency before. Finlay was supportive, efficient and communicative. It would encourage me to go directly in the future if there is a need!
