Sarah Shaw was a pleasure to work with while dealing with the estate of both my parents.

She was professional and very thorough.

I accompanied my elderly mother to Jones Whyte to update her will.
Before her meeting she was very anxious about her meeting with the lawyer but when we arrived we were introduced to Katie Bastianelli and after five minutes in her company I could see my mum was relaxed and at ease with Katie.
The meeting lasted about 40 mins and through the whole process Katie was professional and understanding.
I can't thank Katie enough for the way she dealt with my mum's will.
I would have no hesitation in using Jones Whyte in the future.

Excellent work from the team, especially Holly Reilly. When I was told my offer was accepted at 4:50pm on a Friday afternoon but had to have it submitted by close of play before the weekend, Holly willingly volunteered to stay late and get the offer in for me at literally no notice. Throughout this she was very professional and very friendly, helping guide me through the required steps to get across the line. Holly really went above the call of duty with this one and I am extremely grateful.

Our experience with Jones Whyte Solicitors was deeply disappointing from start to finish. We were charged five separate £42 CHAPS fees with no clear explanation as to why this was necessary. Any time we asked a question, it took around a week to get a response, which caused repeated delays and unnecessary stress.

When our buyers hadn’t paid by lunchtime on completion day, there was no sense of urgency from the team at all. Even worse, they paid our Early Repayment Charge despite the lender explicitly instructing them not to. This mistake directly caused financial difficulty for us, as the equity from the sale was meant to clear an existing loan. Because they paid the ERC in error, our payment to the loan company was delayed and additional interest was added.

When I raised a complaint, there was a complete lack of empathy or understanding about the impact their actions had on someone already in a financially vulnerable position. At no point did we feel supported, prioritised, or treated with basic consideration.

Overall, I would not recommend Jones Whyte based on our experience. The communication was slow, the errors were costly, and the customer care was non‑existent.

John Paul was truly excellent, keeping me informed at every step of the way and was there for me via phone or email - even after office hours he was happy to help. I’d 100% go back to jones whyte for anything else :) thank you
