When I first started Pap Pal , I felt fulfilled when assisting those in need . Papa Pal is turning into a cleaning agency for people who can still clean themselves. $18/hr just isn't worth it for a cleaning job - it's exploitation. This is a problem for those of us who genuinely want to help the elderly and needy, but are being taken advantage of by those who can still do things for themselves and are using Papa Pal to clean huge homes. They’re booking papa pals for deep cleaning. The misuse of this service is concerning. This is a growing problem that needs attention before another lawsuit occurs .
Papa Pal is doing an excellent job creating meaningful connections between Pals and the seniors they serve. The communication, guidance, and support made my first experience smooth and enjoyable. What really stood out to me is the heart behind the company — it’s not just about tasks, it’s about dignity, companionship, and truly helping people who are often overlooked. That made my experience feel purposeful and rewarding.

Knowing and helping people with different tasks, companionship, or transportation is flexible and work at your own pace. The company won with the job being flexible for others, so they can care for their love ones and family in spare time. They are extremely strict with safety rules for yourself and clients. Today was my first day and it wasn’t bad at all. Just be mindful of the tasks and be prepared. I would recommend anyone looking to make extra income and love helping people is why I became a Papa Pal.

I really enjoyed my visit that I had today. I think that I made a real connection, I'm hoping to see this person again

Papa Pals offers great flexibility and you will likely meet some clients who will become your true friends over time. If you are looking for a supplemental income, this is perfect. Last second jobs may pay a bonus. You can even pick up jobs out of town if you're visiting someone for a length of time. On the negatives from my perspective, most of the jobs are just an hour or 2, and I would prefer longer jobs. Also, in my area, there just aren't a lot of jobs close to home. But, when I've been in larger cities, I see a Lot of jobs, so it all depends on where you're at.

I am a pappa member. I schedule a visit 11/03/2025 from12pm to 1pm. I scheduled the visit a week in advance. I have no food in the my house and no money to buy food. I wanted to go to the food bank to get food. Guess what. NOBODY SHOWED UP FOR MY VISIT. NOW I AM WITH OUT FOOD. Pappa does not care about their members àt all. U need food to survive. Pappa wants me dead.

Papa pal is very convenient I get to work when I can and when I want and I get to make meaningful connections with elders.

The workers are treated as mere pawns and these people the support are very horrible to deal with there's not much support and it's very difficult sometimes you don't get paid and other issues you're treated as just a number

Papa claims to build relationship between Members & Pals but their pay structure is anything but motivating to Pals to take jobs for Members they have seen before. Bonuses are a last ditch effort to get jobs filled. That is not relationship building encouragement. Reward folks for taking repeat jobs with Members. The standard pay is not practical for this. Lack of compensation for driving folks to far away distances then getting back to town on our own dime is not motivating.

I don’t have any complaints for Papa . I enjoy the upfront information given about members to help you decide a job. I have had to call in two grave concerns w/o any follow up if members were review for those concerns, knowing this puts me to ease knowing I was heard and the member was taken care of.

I am meeting amazing people that need help but need a friend that cares about them. But it helps me too. I feel good to be able to help others.

I like some of the members that I go see some of them are real cool and are real dope. Talking with the staff, though is hard to get in touch with them, but then some of them are very rude. I wouldn’t mind if they did a little bit more of a pay raise due to the fact the economy has changed.
I miss some of the members that I used to go to, but with their new insurance, they can’t use the services, which is sad because some of them really needed it

Papa Pal is a good company but I think the owner or Director would need to make some of these visits in person to see how we drive anywhere from 35 minutes to 55 minutes round trip to clients in our personal vehicles and using our gas. We then accomodate their needs by doing their detailed list of chores. For 18/hr this is bad. We should be receiving a minimum of 21/hr. You want care aides to be happy as well as the clients right.

Papa is great for anyone who enjoys people. I'm retired but enjoy working when I want to work, not when someone tells me I must show up. The people I assist are so appreciative, what a change from working in health care and being told you can be replaced.. "you are a dime a dozen".
I've never felt that way when speaking with Papa representatives. Finally.. I love my job.
