Four times in a row I was called in the very last minute--twice at the exact time I was supposed to be picked up--and told that they couldn't find a driver for me. When this happens, Papa Pal will offer a ride from Uber, but that is no substitute for what they claim to offer. Furthermore, the drivers are very unprofessional, non-stop gabbing about their own complaints--about Papa Pal, about their grown children, their own illnesses, illnesses in their families, etc. Frankly, it's exhausting. I just need a ride. I don't need to hear the driver's life story. I don't need a new friend.

Client was great! Explained areas needing attention and provided gloves and cleaning supplies. Very welcoming environment!

The experience is great because making the visits it’s really easy and we’re getting paid good amounts of money per hour for doing easy task like vacuuming, doing the dishes, etc.

I have written the CEO twice, pertaining to Pal customer support, as well as Member support. No response! Their app is sub par at best and always have to uninstall, then reinstall, because it has so many glitches. I hope you know where your clients live, because if you dont remember the address when you accept the appoint and the app fails, both you as the pal and member are scewed! To boot...when you call in to customer support, to report the issue on the app, most of the reps have no clue what's going on and tell you to contact chat support.
Their chat is no help either, as you get the same generic responses to your questions...and they take 5 minutes to respond, inbetween questions. It's like they are all robots, programed with the same answers to your questions. You go in a vicious circle, with no resolution.
I do this part time, as I have a full-time IT position and love the members I see on a regular basis. Unfortunately,
the members complain about the customer support they get...or should I say lack of. I frequently get asked to help the member out, when calling, because the reps they get when they call into schedule an appointment, are rude.
I've written multiple reviews to the customer support team, only to fall on deaf ears. I've had 4 open help desk tickets, for over 8 months with no resolution.
All I can say, is it's a great concept, but unfortunately they are failing their members and pals miserably. No wonder why insurance companies keep dropping them, as well as pals leaving. They did it to themselves, by not listening to all the complaints and not fixing their app or attitude with customer service reps. Shame on them!
I get a papa pal to come help me every few weeks. She is reliable, friendly, kind & thorough.

Once I was ready to start, I just chose a client and went to work the next day. I was able to contact the client, prior to my arrival. The app directed me to the location, and we did exactly what the client stated she needed.

All of the pre-planning made my visit pleasant, I was expected when I arrived, the member explained the things she wanted me to do. We had time to become acquainted.
The reminders were excellent. The forms were available, altho, i failed to use them properly. The program is quite easy to follow.

Today my visit with my member was great. The time flew by and I feel we were able to communicate more due to it being a second time visit. She spends a lot of time alone I think so when I arrived she was happy. So was her sweet doggie. I like that she knows what she wants me to do and if I need help she doesn't mind me asking. The drive was a bit long because of traffic. I did some house chores played with her doggie and we talked about how she was feeling a bit. Getting to know a person helps so I know if they are OK. Things went great and I could tell she was in good spirits when I left. The problem was I went the wrong direction and before you know it I had no service on my cell phone. There are a lot of mountains and no place to really stop. I thought I checked out but I did not. My appt. Time was right but I was not checked out. I finely was able to get to a place where i had service and I checked out. Sorry papa. I am not familiar with this area and was very nervous about finding my way. I am stubborn and eventually i did. I know papa says to call but i could not of taken my eyes off these roads . Not papas fault. During a visit i try to talk to see if the person is feeling ok. Not to just work and leave. You have to take note on if they are mentally depressed or feeling any strange way. It's not just the way they live. Is there any health issues on any level that need to be reported . Things have changed in the last few years and some people might need some extra help or assistance with the changes. Thank you papa for all you do to help us all connect.

My first visit went well. It's too early to describe anything other than the platform that's used is easy to use & follow

Unfortunately Papa is going down hill during this year due to the lost of the most important customer (Aetna Insurance) and we have the hope that new Insurance will arrive to the platform but after the first 6 months of the year 2024 nothing change specially for those Pals that prioritize transportation of the papas.
Wonderful company to work for, nothing is over complicated or over involved, easy but safe platform to work for.
