Worked before the collapse of SVB, but is now purely a scam. Can never redeem points you earn.

This app is a scam. It's easy to earn points but they will never let you redeem them. I have been trying to redeem my 72,000 points for almost 2 months now and emailing only sends an automated email back and no one ever helps you or talks to you about it. I do not even get the the redeem option to ever show available and I keep my app on and open at the time they claim you can redeem for gift cards. Huge waste of time!

SCAM always out of gift cards leaving you no way to redeem the points you’ve earned. Unlink your cards so they stop making money off of us with nothing in return!!

Used to be good but now impossible to redeem points

I wish I could give it zero stars. I have earned over $1,000 in gift cards over the years. I currently have $225 to be redeemed now but that clearly won’t happen. I went into the app to delete my credit cards from being linked and it doesn’t show any of my cards. I don’t want them having my cards on file and wanted to unlink before I delete the app. DROP is now a scam!!

I loved this app before. Used it all the time. Since the changed the redemption process, sadly it's crap. It doesn't let you redeem. I have 3 screenshot from today of me trying to do it. One that says "whoops, something went wrong please try again later" another that said "there was an error processing your request, please try again later" and the finally the one I've seen for the last month when I try ro redeem " network issues". By the 4th time..... Guess what? SOLD out. Ya right. Sold out? You mean never released and fooling us to make us think they did. Scam!!! If there is some sort of retribution, I hope I can find out. This is just wrong.

Drop App used to be legit; but since running into ‘banking’ issues; I have not received gift cards for my redeemed points. I was promised my gift cards within 60 days. That never happened and now it is impossible to try and redeem my points.

Completely scam now. There is no way you can redeem gift card. There is only one time a week at 1pm Thursday you can redeem the gift card but the app will crash and not loading at all. Useless at this point. Scam!

I have been using this app since 2019. I used to recommend it to everyone. It was great. I got points that I used to redeem
for gift cards that I used to purchase gifts. This last year on this app has been absolute hell. 3/4 of the time my points don’t post. I have to constantly contact support to even get them, the instant gift cards are a joke now and the app is constantly crashing. When you do finally get someone at support, they give you a wooden response. I would never recommend this to anyone ever again. I was hoping to redeem my points and be done, but the way the gift cards are set up right now is ridiculous. I’m moving to a new rewards site

I want to know how I can get the rewards I’ve legally & rightfully earned from this app. I have over 130K points & every Thursday they are instantly sold out of gift cards that I doubt even exist. I’ve emailed support and am told to uninstall and re install the app which I’ve done and it does NO good at all!!! App always glitches every Thursday. I’d be happy to delete this app and NEVER use it again once I cash out completely. In April, I cashed in 100K points for (2) $50 gift cards only to get an email months later saying they refunded my points & gave me a 5K bonus for the trouble. Big whoop! Other users I’ve seen on here received 10K points for their trouble. Legally, who can we as a whole contact to get this issue resolved??? Messaging Drop obviously isn’t getting anyone anywhere.

This app used to be fantastic. I made a couple hundred of dollars off of it but over the last year it's become impossible to earn points on anything. The app crashes why you try to redeem points for gift cards, which they advertise as being "instant". They allow you to turn on reminder notifications but they never actually fire. Completely a scam for your personal information

Let me start with how this app was great and seemed to be legit. I’ve been using it for over a year without any issues. But now it is definitely displaying fraudulent activity.

I’d like to start off by apologizing for the lack of communication coming from Drop on any delayed gift card deliveries. It was very important to myself and the Drop team that we had a solid plan in place before we communicated what led to the delays and what we are going to do moving forward.

This past April, Drop’s financial position was directly affected by a banking collapse that made news globally. As a result, we were forced to delay gift card delivery to ensure we can continue to fulfill our promise to reward members in the long term.

I am pleased to report that the issues stemming from this incident have now been resolved. The satisfaction of our members is and continues to be the top priority for myself, our employees and board of directors.

Beginning July 17, all outstanding redeemed points will be refunded back to your account, and an additional bonus of 10,000 points will be added as our way of thanking you for your understanding and patience. Our redemption functionality will return to normal and all gift cards will be delivered instantly. New redemption limits will be introduced to ensure that we do not experience this type of outage again in the future.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a loyal Drop member. We know that we have lost some of your trust and will do everything we can to regain it. We greatly appreciate your patience during these times - Drop wouldn't be here without your continued support.

Since this change July 17th, I have noticed that every transaction has been completed quickly and I have been receiving points like crazy. However, every Thursday at 1pm when the $25 gift cards (supposedly) are available , they are not. Has always said sold out at all times. Never available. Keep in mind you could redeem as many $50 and $25 gift cards as long as you had points to use in the past. All I can think of is the “company” will eventually “dissolve “ all of our points, exchanging them in for themselves as this resembles the deviant characteristics of fraudster SBF with FTX.
I did attempt to contact the company with complaints. A ticket # was issued and the complaint was then showing as been resolved. This should be reported as a fraud. Every person having these kinds of issues should be reporting this Drop app.

The company has made it impossible to redeem points for gift cards (I’ve been trying since April 3…today is August 18). Support sends canned responses. There’s been no communication from the company regarding the issues, no attempts at resolution. They’ve turned off the ability to comment on their social media as an added layer of protecting themselves. A complete scam.

I’ve unlinked my cards because I absolutely do not want them to continue to make money off of me.

A SCAM! Remove your credit card info. They are stealing your info. No one can redeem a gift card. Classic, CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT! App crashes/locks up; very conveniently. Hmm, wonder why? It's now over 40 weeks in a row, and no one can redeem. They made commissions from companies we purchased from so they are stealing from us. Drop being "sold out" of gift cards is probably not true. Why? They have no gift cards. They lied to us all. They're def a scam! CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. App crashes as everyone is redeeming b/c no one trusts the company. It's 25 weeks in a row, the app conveniently locks up and we can't redeem. They made commissions from us!!!!!

As of today, if I could give Drop a negative number I would. About the 1st of February I sent Drop 50,000 points for a $50 gift card from Amazon. Drrop kept my points for several months and then re-deposited my 50,000 points, only to tell me that they’ve changed the way they are doing business. According to Drop we can only get a $25.00 give card per week and the only time we can attempt to get one is Thursday at 1 pm. For the last month, I have set an alarm and been on the Drop website from 12:55 until 1:05 trying to get a gift card. My account will not unlock during that time so I have no gift card. I have contacted the company several times only to be told to delete my account and then sign back in, which I did. Then I was told there was a glitch and they were correcting it. Today, I still was not able to get a gift card and I am not happy. Sadly, I think Drop has become a scam. I would not recommend Drop right now. I hope they get their act together where I can recommend again soon but for now, I say don't bother. There are other sites you can get money back on that really work. One sends me a check monthly.

Used to be great. With the new rewards system, is total garbage. Have almost $200 in points to redeem, and I’ve tried every week to access the gift cards, and have gotten “lucky” once.

This app doesn’t deserve my info or any new users. Don’t download it, don’t sell them your info.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This used to be a legit company and I was able to redeem gift cards often, however, for the past 5 months now, I've been waiting for a gift card that never arrived. Instead of honoring the $50 gift card, they gave me back my points, which I haven't been able to use. They changed their redemption process so now you can only get one $25 card once a week on Thursday at 1pm, but it hasn't been functional. It's been a month now and I've been in the app early and they are "sold out" by 1:03pm, after getting an error every time it looks like I will be able to redeem. I've submitted a ticket each week with the same response of deleting the app and making sure it is updated with the most current version, which still doesn't fix the issue! This app sucks and so does the customer service! I wouldn't recommend using this app as you are wasting your time and you can't even redeem the points you earn!

Updated: 8/31/23 - I'm up to $75 now in my account, but am still not able to redeem it for gift cards. The app keeps updating and the cards are gone within a minute or 2 after the redemption time. Would not recommend them at all!!!

Drop App is a scam. No way to redeem your points anymore. And they act like they changed the way you redeem points based on customer and user response. Total joke. Was waiting for 2 $50 gift cards and they gave. E back my points instead of honoring my request. Now I’m not able to get anything. Let’s get these fraudsters shut down!
