Good rate. Poor process. I did not get a confirmation email to tell me what I had ordered, nor an email telling me that it was ready to be collected. Fortunately, I had noted the transaction reference and having called JLP Money they were able to tell me that it was in store and available for collection.

My own mistake but I paid on a credit card for my foreign currency order online. This means I was charged a fee by John Lewis and also by my bank. It would be great if a reminder message could be displayed at point of payment, to warn of this. I appreciate it is in the ts & Cs, but its easy to miss.

At payment stage, the following message appears on our site "Your credit card provider might charge you a cash advance fee for this transaction" We would always recommend that a customer checks with their bank first before purchasing travel money.
