Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the service, often citing issues with staff, including rudeness, lack of helpfulness, and inadequate training. People frequently encountered problems with product availability, noting that essential medications and even over-the-counter items were consistently out of stock. Reviewers also reported that locations were often closed without notice or operated outside of advertised hours, leading to considerable inconvenience. Some people were dissatisfied with the management, highlighting concerns about internal operational issues and a general lack of organization, which they believe contributes to the poor service and stock issues. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with specific staff members, describing them as professional, courteous, and helpful, and appreciating their efforts despite the broader company issues.

Quite a heated phone call with the new…

Quite a heated phone call with the new “pharmacy manager” needs to do
Some work on her people skills. Shouting across the store “does someone want to talk to her I don’t want to talk to her” as I had informed her what she was trying to tell me was the incorrect information. Left it to the man who is usually on the computer to deal with me while he tries to “calm the situation down” never had an issue with him but these never ladies jeez where do they find them, Have used for years and once Dave left it has gone down hill. Looking tired and not very sanitary in there now. Needless to say we won’t be using the pharmacy any more.

I cannot fault this pharmacy lovely welcoming well educated staff Each and every one especially Lia she goes far and beyond to help and Abbie , I personally had a fear of needles and I was soon put at ease and no longer have a fear after 50 plus years thanks to both professionals who made me comfortable they both had fabulous empathy and now I only go to them for my yearly flu jab as I have complete faith in them. Thank you guys keep up the great work I have a pharmacy close to my home but will not change as im completely comfortable staying with Jhoots and the fabulous work they do Always welcomed with smiles very professional never ever have to wait, always a pleasure to fetch my meds 😊 well done all at Jhoots

Appauling company

They never seem to be open as per their advertising hours... I suffer from epilepsy and obviously need to take tablets everyday, I dread having to go out and visit this waste of time company hoping that they will be open.

I am going to start using pharmacy2you from now on, as I have no faith in this company at all.

If you have other pharmacies in you area, I would strongly recommend that you use them and don't waste time with this unprofessional outfit!

Absolutely disgusting customer service

Absolutely disgusting customer service! The staff are always chatting and laughing when ever you enter the pharmacy and you stand there while the talk away and have to wait about 5 mins before they come and serve you!
I was so disgusted on the 13th February at 12:56 the sat in the back talking till it was exactly 1pm and told me it was closed for dinner! And then when I stated iv been waiting they argued with me and said I WAS RUDE!! Absolutely SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE! They ignore the phone when customers are ringing they make you wait so much!!! I ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT PHARMACY RUDE HORRIBLE STAFF! (not the blond lady though who is absolutely amazing and so helpful and kind)bless her she’s awesome!

Pharmacy with no drugs

Literally, the pharmacy that has no drugs, and has no intention of helping people who need their prescription.
Always closed with hand scrawled messages about no pharmacist at the pharmacy…. So you can’t even get your prescription released.
On the rare occasions is actually open. The computer says no
One star is generous and I can’t add multiple dates to indicate this is a long standing problem.

Ten years experience as a Jhoots customer.

I used this pharmacy for at least ten years. Prescriptions were seldom ready on time and were often incomplete, staff seemed distracted and inadequately trained, stock and premises neglected. Eventually the business seemed to fall apart and I decided to transfer all my prescriptions to Tesco. One of the best decisions I ever made!

Honestly

Honestly, helpfully, this is the worst business in the world!
You go in (st Anne's Bristol) to not be greeted. The previous ladies were lovely, but the new staff and new pharmacist are ignorant to the point they must be aware of their pure arrogance, but not care.
They have no products to sell, and the pharmacist is an angry young fella, lairy as flip. It's very amusing, like a monty Python sketch to talk to him.
I'm not sure if his credentials, if it's a blag. If it is, fair enough, good luck to him.
But he has no clue what to do.
Id rather walk the mile up the road on broken ankles to bhoots and see my mate who likes star Trek.
If you want a laugh ask for help, If you want medical help or medication, go elsewhere.
Youd be better off speaking to the guy in the vape shop or Maria at co-op

Awful company

Awful company
My girlfriend has worked for this company since jan, every month they have gotten her pay wrong. She used to come home everynight in floods of tears due to poorly patients angry due to no stock, sent home by david as she had surgery and needed to sit down and he wouldnt let her, no pay since july its now october, everytime she calls HR they dont answer the phone, or ask where i got the number from.
Avoid this company, its a scam, ran by tw*ts!
They are going to go bankrupt very soon and people are just ridiculous for still working there, their not getting paid!!
They dont pay their suppilers either / rent.

Jhoots, Sidmouth - absolute joke.

The Jhoots pharmacy in Sidmouth now appears to have closed for good. In recent weeks I've had multiple wasted journeys to collect my medication, either because they had no stock, no pharmacist or just a handwritten note on the door saying the place was closed for the day. I had to get my GP to reissue my prescriptions so that I could take them elsewhere.
I feel very sorry for the polite and decent staff having to continually apologise for the unacceptable level of service, caused wholly by the ineptitude of their employer.

Awful

Awful. We had two here in Portishead. The one within Waitrose had my urgent prescription. I walked there three days in a row and every day the shutters were down. No explanation but I heard they can't get a pharmacist. Got a fresh prescription sent to the independent pharmacy and I had meds within 24 hrs. The other store by a medical centre was useless. Staff couldn't be bothered to help and often very rude. This one was often closed too and had nothing in stock. It's rented off the clinic next door who have served notice for them to vacate due to complaints. Jhoots seriously need looking in to. Makes me wonder how much they have fleeced off the NHS.

A 1 star rating is too much for this…

A 1 star rating is too much for this Darwin Practice pharmacy. I have tried to pick up a prescription on 3 occasions. First they were closed, then yesterday was told my items will be in at 4, so said ok I’ll pick it up on Wednesday and guess what they closed at 2 -6. How the hell are people who have an emergency appointment? Supposed to get medication when the pharmacies always shut? This pharmacy is an absolute joke.

Woeful experience - Jhoots Wellington Somerset

I have driven over 600 miles in the past week in failed attempts to collect my prescription from Jhoots in Wellington Somerset. I have driven down from my workplace in London, twice only to find the pharmacy closed. The GP won't issue a new prescription and tells me that I have to collect a 'token' from Jhoots to enable me to take the prescription to a reliable pharmacy. They are closed again today due to lack of a Pharmacist, but surely they could have someone to issue the tokens to allow customers to take their prescriptions elsewhere. The regulator doesn't deal with customers complaints - one questions their purpose!
