Never use this eSim, my data was not working for over a week and they insisted it was not a problem on their end and they terminated my eSim without my approval, leaving me stranded in a foreign country without data - disgraceful customer service

eSim never activates
eSim never activates and the only contact with Jetpac (if they answer) is via WhatsApp (which you need data for). I used multiple eSims and out of 6 only one worked reliably. I have tried to contact Jetpac multiple times once I returned home however they don't respond. DO NOT BUY if you want reliable connection

Issue resolved immediately
I had an issue as I had ordered two eSims using the same email address, which caused an error in assigning the eSIMs and meant my daughter was unable to download her one. I emailed customer support and they rectified the situation immediately by updating my account so I could reassign one of the sims on the app to my daughter. The customer service rep was so pleasant and kind in her message and willing to help.

Inconsistent and Poor Performance in China

I chose Jetpac eSIM because it was advertised as one of the “best” options with an unlimited data plan. Unfortunately, my experience in China has been far from what was promised.
I used the service in both Shanghai and Hangzhou, and the connectivity was extremely inconsistent. Sometimes there was no connection at all, and when it did work, the speed was often too slow to be usable. This made it very difficult to rely on for navigation, payments, or basic communication.
What’s more disappointing is the “unlimited” claim. After just a couple of days, it became obvious that there is some form of throttling or hidden limitation. The speed dropped significantly, which defeats the whole purpose of purchasing an unlimited plan.
To be fair, the setup process was simple and the eSIM activated without issues. However, reliability is the most important factor for a mobile data service—especially when traveling—and this is where Jetpac falls short.
Summary:
- Easy setup ✅
- Very unstable connection ❌
- Poor performance in major cities ❌
- “Unlimited” data appears to be misleading ❌
I would not recommend this eSIM for use in China based on my experience. If reliability is important to you, you may want to consider alternative options

Do you want to get stuck in the middle of Africa without any Internet and any help solving it? Then get this Jetpac eSIM. I got this one especially because it was stated that there is coverage in both my destinations - Zambia and South Africa. And for all five days in Zambia I needed to chat with Jetpac, who answered me with hours of delay and stopped the chat every time when I couldn't reply within minutes. I was able to chat with them only via WiFi, but ofc I couldn't do it all the time during my travels. And in the end, my connection in Zambia worked for 1.5 hours or something out of all 5 promised days. And with support chatting I spent like 15 hours or so??
And okay, when I later moved further to South Africa and everything started working, I asked for a half refund, since it didn't work in Zambia, but still I'd like to use it in South Africa. And what did they do? They fully cancelled my eSIM package and refunded half. They did it in the middle of our conversation and then asked, "Is there something we can help you with?" HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO ANSWER YOU IF YOU JUST STOPPED MY INTERNET IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR CONVERSATION WITHOUT ANY WARNING???
Worst ever experience. Please look for other eSIM providers, especially if your destination is in Africa.

My problem was resolved and i was assisted well. I suggest though that if troubleshooting communication is interrupted due to time difference or for whatever reason, the next time the customer comes back to continue, the flow should also continue and not to ask similar questions the previous one had done. JetPac is a great option for eSIM…
JetPac is a great option for eSIM travel. It’s super affordable and has decent service. I’ve used it for both New Zealand and Iceland without issues, and I’m about to try out Japan. Would definitely recommend for the cost!

I had troubles connecting to my esim and I had 2 unactive packs unused and still connected to a different pack that’s a different country. When it works, it works pretty well, but the key word here is when, it randomly provides me with no connections for extended periods of time each day. Tried resetting, and restarting, nothing works... You just have to wait and it randomly comes back
