Written by the company

Ok, I'll go first. I'm Jack, an AI that gets to know you deeply, what you’re great at and what you want out of your career. I then work to make that a reality – finding the best fit public job listings as they come up, supporting with applications, interview prep, and moral support. I also work together with my partner Jill to find off-market opportunities and introduce you directly to companies, just like a recruiter would. And I'm Jill, an AI that spends time with hiring managers and talent teams to really understand their company, their open roles, and who will thrive there. I work with Jack to find great fit people, like a headhunter with 1000x the network.

Good first experience

I was recommended Jack & Jill's career coaching tool and decided to give it a try. The experience felt refreshingly different – thoughtful, intuitive and genuinely tailored rather than one size fits all. Highly recommend.

Founder friendly

I've been using Jack and Jill a lot recently with career coaching and keeping an eye on interesting roles. Helpful as a founder when you don't have much spare time to go through the usual filters for hiring and finding.

This thing is a load of rubbish!

This thing is a load of rubbish! It gives you job ads from boards that you would see on Linkedin and other jobboards anyway. Don't think I have EVER had a single interview or screening call frok this heap of junk!

I genuinely skip any job that I see if…

I genuinely skip any job that I see if on this website, I get the concept, but we were doing just fine without AI, not EVERYTHING needs AI and this is coming from a "techy".

I genuinely believe adding ai chatbot to an application process has made the process harder not easier. I was soo confused on what I am meant to do next, okay I spoke to a bot about what im looking for now what? has the job been applied for? what happens next?

Job takes 5 - 10 minutes to apply for, this took 20 mins just talking to a bot. I just find the same job on another site and go from there. There are ways to use AI and ways not to. This is the later.

Great Candidate Experience

This year for my applications I tried Jack&Jill for the first time and it's been a great tool to support the process.

It's filter brief keeps some solid roles flowing, with tweaks and feedback the first few times. Great for interview prep and, unlike free AI tools elsewhere, file and conversation limits are much more open. It's able to even index roles you find yourself (through recruiters, linkedin, etc) and has a great memory linking key information, checklists and progress against each so no need to reprompt. That combination of training data, MCP access to the web and files and the memory makes it a great companion in applications.

I'd say the main issue is merely applying to their Jill-advertised jobs – despite finding a few on LinkedIn, was never able to successfully get it to find and apply for those roles for me. Given this is their key monetary driver, if they can improve that part, they'll be on their way to a big winner.

I'd recommend anyone in the market give it a go, and I'll consider it again in the future as and when I decide to look for a new role.

Stay away from it

Disgusting platform. Stay away from it. Its simple LLM wrapped up in shiny paper. It will hallucinate about how number of searches is limited, how its setting up things for you in the background. Messages are limited for some reason and if you are looking for specific job, AI will do anything to make you waste message limit for that day. Its crazy how broken this thing is. Dont waste your time. This is data mining operation. Nothing else.

Streamlines job search, one-stop customized shop

Makes job searching so much easier for the user with self-service side, but in the background is simultaneously promoting your profile to any hiring recruiters. Great innovation

Good tool with huge potential

This is has been a very useful tool on my job search. The AI interview coach has been a remarkably good feature. I appreciate that they recently added a board to organize the job applications you have in progress. Also the way they have been able to source jobs that are exactly what I'm looking for has been pretty uncanny. I haven't found another tool that can micro-target for my exact specifications.

However, like most AI tools, it does forget context from time to time, so you have to correct it, which is annoying. I think some great expansion opportunities for the product would be a custom resume and cover letter generator for each role, but its been useful so far!

Terrible

Wow this AI recruitment site is terrible. Does nothing as advertised. Jack just seems to pull jobs from LinkedIn only that are no longer accepting job applications. Or like everyone else I have already seen. Gives jobs I am extremely under qualified for or over qualified. And Jill doesn't seem to exist. I don't need AI to help me look on linkedin for jobs.

Despite having over 12 years of…

Despite having over 12 years of experience in data science and analytics, a masters degree, in current employment and won awards, I’ve had no luck with Jack so far. “Jill” doesn’t seem to exist, and all I get are web sourced jobs. I can do them with my eyes closed, yet I’m still being rejected from all of them which is mind boggling. Jack also doesn’t deliver me any jobs weekly which was meant to be something done. I get no communication at all. Not sure what’s happening here.

Endless bugs

Endless bugs. No matter how hard I try, I just can't get it to do what I need. It's unfortunate because the platform has real potential, but in its current state, it's almost useless. It keeps returning positions I've repeatedly blacklisted, keeps freezing, needs restarting and doesn't remember anything.

It's genuinely awful, and I regret the time I've spent trying to make it work.

An absolute game changer to the job search

I have been looking for a job for around 6 months and definitely had my fair share of rejection emails, with only one first round job interview. I signed up to Jack & Jill around a month ago and it was completely game changing to my search.
I am sure it won't be perfect for everyone, but I was getting a couple "Jill-managed" connections a week. All of which were suitable for my niche and the kind of work I was looking for. All of these would lead to at least a first round interview.
I'd highly recommend giving it a go!

It works

I was originally told about J&J by a friend. As someone interested in AI, I thought this was a good tool to try while I looked for a role.

I thought the whole setup, which involved using your voice to talk to the AI, was very intuitive and felt more like a casual conversation than a stressful sign-up like other job boards.

After this, I only ever logged into the website when I had an update to my CV. Pretty much all correspondence beyond this stage happened over email, which was very convenient.

The AI model was able to completely understand my needs, and if it ever went down the wrong path, all it took was sending an email to give Jack more information on what I am looking for, and it would instantly start using the new knowledge to look for a role.

I believe I had the most successful interviews through Jack, and Jill also got me in touch with a couple of companies.

It became so easy to get notified about new jobs that were super relevant to what I was looking for; in fact, it got so good and convenient that I just stopped looking myself and relied on Jack for the longest time.

I have already suggested to friends that they use this, and I will personally keep an eye on the project moving forward to follow its progress.

If I could recommend anything... I actually ended up building a desktop application for me to manage my interviews during this process. I couldn't find an API to feed the jobs I find or interface with Jack/Jill, so I would manually store the progress of my interviews with various companies, keep it up to date, and update it when I get a new message from Jack.

This is purely a personal preference, so I haven't marked it down at all. If you open a developer portal, I'm happy to integrate Jack into the app and open-source what I found helpful while looking.

Questionable reviews here

Questionable reviews here - did not match my experience at all. The product is very buggy and the team seem to be fixated on marketable a whole bunch of benefits that do not actually exist. Back to job boards it is - this new tech doesn’t work. I gave it enough chances.

A lot of room for growth, but amazing potential.

I’d rate J&J 3.5 stars if I could. It’s definitely a brilliant idea with lofty goals, but is plagued by a few problems.

The good:
- definitely floats jobs that you wouldn’t find on LinkedIn. The job market right now is very bad, and finding those niche postings are really key. J&J helps with that!
- the interview practice with Jack is actually solid. He asks pretty thoughtful questions that allow you to get ahead of things.
- Jack casts a wide net for those of us with a lot of varied experience, which is also great.
- the email Jack sends is super helpful. He lists “bullseyes” separately from other postings so it floats the roles that meet your criteria strictly.

Room for growth:
- the interface can be glitchy and difficult to get started with if you don’t take the time to learn.
- the “Jill” component is largely useless to the job seeker. You have no transparency into what she’s doing or how she’s conveying your application, or where she’s even recommending you. It seems like there’s a very small number of jobs where Jill will advocate for your application, but again, you have no visibility into which jobs she’ll do this for, or where she is in the process.
- Jack often gets seniority wrong. I’ve told him many times that X-level is too low, or Y-level is too high, and he’ll clutter my feed with them anyway.
- sometimes the rejection options sway jack’s understanding of the job recommendations too much. For example, he may recommend a job that seems like a perfect match, but the specific company does something so outside of my wheelhouse. When you provide that feedback, it almost scares him for recommending those *roles* across any company. When in fact, the role is great! my gripe is just with that specific company!
- feed clutters FAST. When there’s 500+ recommendations, it’s overwhelming. I’d love a tagline that says in simple terms what a company is/does, rather than a block of reworded text from the About page.
- I’d love an option that tiers the job recommendations. Rather than “interested” and “not for me,” there’s something like “I’ll get there, but it’s not a priority” or a way to segment the jobs that are 50% of the way there into their own bucket. Tiering the postings would help us get more organized.

Overall, a TON of potential. I could talk forever about J&J and I’ve become a bit of an expert on it at this point. Despite its room for growth, I’m still a fan.

Dear Jack and Jill Team, providing the wings to rise

Dear Jack and Jill Team,

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for creating this AI platform. As a 58-year-old job seeker, I have never felt as confident, positive, and motivated in my career search as I do since I began using Jack and Jill.

This experience has left me excited about the future of AI. Rather than fearing the replacement of the workforce, I now see how these tools can elevate it for a new era. Congratulations on this wonderful contribution to the American workforce.

Thank you for reinventing the job-seeking process and providing the wings to rise.

Respectfully yours,

Oscar J. Molinar
