My husband and I got married 2 weeks ago at San Galgano Abbey in Tuscany, Italy, and we can honestly say we had the best day of our lives and this is all down to the incredible planning, guidance and support from Ionian Weddings! Maria was our wedding planner based here in England and right from the start, she was there to answer our million-and-one questions and nothing was too much for her to sort, even when adding extra bits on just a couple of weeks before the wedding date. She also offered in some of her own ideas which we absolutely loved and helped to make our day even more special, for example for our Prosecco tower, she suggested having fountain sparklers at this point which truly made a magical moment on our special day! Communication was fantastic, emails were answered promptly and our video calls with Maria also helped to set plans in place.
During our wedding day, we had Serena who coordinated our wedding out in Italy, along with Nico from the venue itself. Both were absolutely incredible - Serena could tell that we were nervous about how everything would come together and she went out of her way to make sure we were happy with everything and couldn’t have been anymore attentive on the day.
Every tiny little detail of our wedding day was planned to perfection - the table decor was just stunning, the flowers matched our ‘sunset colour’ theme perfectly and our vision that we sent in photos truly came to life!!
If you are thinking of having your wedding abroad, we couldn’t recommend Ionian weddings enough - they are just FANTASTIC and we feel so lucky to have had Maria, Serena and all the team in helping to make our wedding day the best day of our lives! Thank you!!

We recently got married in the beautiful palm tree gardens in Portugal.
We both honestly couldn’t have asked for any thing more. It was amazing!!!! A huge thank you to every one. Emma was fantastic, as was Maria. On the day we had Marta ensuring everything went perfectly. And perfect it was. We are so glad we chose Ionian weddings. Quick replies when we contacted them and any help we needed they went above and beyond. We just wish we could do it all over again. Thank you a million times for making our day so special

If you are thinking of booking your wedding abroad then use Ionian! They were fantastic right through from planning with Rachel through to Giannis and Vola in santorini! Even changing some things right up untill the day! Everyone couldn’t have helped us anymore and I have no complaints about our wedding at all! It all ran very smoothly. I wish we could re do it everyday!!! I keep reliving our day everyday!
I didn’t feel stressed throughout the planning due to Ionian, they did it all!

Dana villas is so so beautiful and the service there was amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the events manager was extremely helpful and the staff were polite and helpful! The food there is fantastic! Everyone has commented on the foot and the wine was lovely aswell! The events manager did everything he could to enable us to have a fantastic day! Everything ran according to plan!

Our experience with Ionian weddings was 10/10. Our wedding day was made absolutely magical and well beyond our expectations. Maria was fabulous at helping organise prior to the big day and Viola our planner in Italy was so helpful. She couldn’t have done anymore for us and really helped ease our nerves. We recently had our wedding in the Panoramic Garden Package in Portugal and we have been blown away with the experience. Communication from the beginning was great when organising the initial bits with Lucy and the specific planning later on with Emma was excellent. They catered to everything we requested and always replied quickly and efficiently. Once we arrived in Portugal the team over there made sure the day went off without a hitch, and the whole experience was extremely smooth and gave us a very special day. We would definitely recommend and all our guests who attended have now decided they want destination weddings having seen how smooth and amazing ours was! Our Santorini Wedding at Santo Wines and Pyrgos Restaurant was amazing and couldn’t have gone any better. The views, the food, decorations, the photographer, the violinist, waiters/waitresses… everything was just incredible.

If it wasn’t for the help of our wedding planner Rachel in the UK and the amazing wedding planner in Santorini, Giannis it wouldn't have been as organised and relaxed as it was.Their ideas, planning and help from the start of the process to the wedding day we will be forever grateful for.

The day was something we will remember forever, we had no stress on the day or leading up to the wedding everything was taken under control and it was lovely to just be able to be present and just enjoy the day without worrying about anything.

Booking with Ionian Weddings was the best decision for our dream European summer wedding! Our day was perfect, the whole experience was amazing!! We have received the most seamless support, from the planning process with the UK team (Rachel), to the onsite coordination expert (Liz). Every choice provided by Ionian was top quality, including our fairytale venue (Crete exclusive garden), photographer and videographer.

Myself and my Husband arranged our wedding with Ionian weddings and honestly I could not of had a better experience.

We got married in Santorini at the venue El Viento in June and WOW, this venue is absolutely mind blowing! From the planning in the UK with Rachel, the Santorini based planners, the staff at the venue inc Santorini wedding planners (who went above and beyond to ensure the day ran smoothly) the food and the drinks packages - the day could not have been anymore perfect.

Our wedding planner, Rachel, was absolutely amazing! She made our whole experience so much easier, with very little stress. Thank you Rachel for helping make our day exactly as we imagined it to be, incredibly special. I would highly recommend Ionian weddings if you’re looking at an abroad wedding. They take all the stress away of planning a wedding, allowing you to relax and enjoy the full experience

We booked our Italian wedding with Ionian 2 years ago and since then we’ve had incredible service. Maria excellently planned our abroad wedding and took all of the stress and complication out of the process. During the wedding week, Serena was amazing. She ensured our day was perfect and exceeded everyone’s expectations. We can’t thank Ionian enough for helping create such a memorable and special wedding day (and wedding week!) for us. Our wedding was amazing!

From chatting with Rachel from the start to meeting the lovely ladies Aikaterini and Voula, at Theros wave bar everything was perfect!

The venue was stunning everything we wanted and more. The staff at the venue and the food could not be faulted.

Hairdresser, make up artist were all amazing and made me feel really calm.

Family and friends were wowed and said it was the best wedding by far and would take a lot to top!

So thank you so much to Rachel and her team at Ionian weddings! It was the perfect day!

The most AMAZIING magical day. Where do we start. We got married in the beautiful Abbey in June 2024. From the first contact with Patricia, we knew we were in safe hands. We had lots of questions before we committed and were so glad we did. We were then put into Maria safe hands. We cannot praise Maria enough. Every email was responded to immediately and everything was spot on. Plus, Maria was so lovely to deal with. Turning to the actual wedding itself, we met with Serena the day before. Another amazing person to be working for Ionian. She made everything look so beautiful and the day run so seamlessly. We could go on and on with what a fantastic team you have at Ionian, so we just want to say a huge thank you for making our wedding the absolute dream wedding.
