I have been a long term satisfied customer of II and would have recommended it to others. However in a new change of security policy which in totally Orwellian fashion they call "enhanced security" when they mean "reduced security" 2FA is no longer required for every login nor can you request it to be. According to II support the "intelligent" (ha!) system can waive this for 30 days and there is nothing anyone can do about this.
This is clearly terribly insecure and is something people should be aware of before committing funds if they require 2FA.

After an extensive explanation and a lot of questions on my behalf, I am thrilled to have now created my account. Useless and expensive. High fees, which will continue to increase, for rubbish service. They will tell you " you can't do that online, you need to phone". Then when you find an opportunity to phone within their limited opening times, they will tell you "you can't do that on the phone, you need to do it online", then when you do it online you will wait for four days and still won't receive a response. Then you'll process a transaction and it will say it will complete by 14:00 tomorrow, but when you submit the request, it will say that it will complete three days later. There are many other cheaper or free trading platforms, use them not Interactive Investor.

I have been having problems withdrawing some money from my SIPP as a UFPLS and asked for some help.

Almost unusable phone service, which I'd never normally use but the shares they sold me in a 'C' issue remain untradeable online, despite being tradeable online at other brokers, and despite messaging them 3 days ago (without response).
"Up to 30 minute wait time due to global events" - only it's not due to global events, is it?
Online, ii are generally fine, despite a notably clunky system (shares often not available for sell quotes until refreshed, variable time-outs, can't go straight from buying one block to quoting for another, without first revisiting the portfolio page).
But when forced to use the phone, you may as well be sending your instruction in via Royal Mail.
