Don't waste your time and money if you don't speak German

Their site has an english option but only a small fraction of words are actually in english. I used google translate, but that took so long to have to translate every option, every word, etc. I had used around 10 hosting companies previously and all of them had c-panel and where very easy to use. Host Europe does not! This made things a lot more difficult to set up. I was in contact with support back and forward for a couple of weeks without much luck. I spent at least a few hours trying to get my site going and in the end I asked for my money back because it was all too hard. They said no. And it was only about 2-3 weeks after I signed up and now apparently I am stuck in their 1 year "contract". Good deal!

Complex setup, reliable service, cold and bureaucratic customer service

While the service was always reliable for me, dealing with the administration interface and their customer support was always a pain. They split your contract into subcontracts and if you don't know about that and forget you have to cancel them separately they will make you pay for a service that you didn't/couldn't use. Their support is responsive, but the opposite of what you'd call "friendly and understanding"—I know of no US-based company that would call a refund on a service that wasn't used and wasn't cancelled purely because of their intransparent contract structure unreasonable.

All in all I'm happy to have moved to actually "professional" hosting now (AWS) and I'm saving about 30$ a year as well—there's simply no good reason for me to choose them.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY

PRESS NUMBER 2 FOR ENGLISH, THEN "DAS IST GUT YAR", GIVE ME 3 APPLES AND 2 BANNERS IN GERMAN!!!!!!, A COMPLETE JOKE!

NO HELP WHATSOEVER FROM THIS COMPANY FROM MULTIPLE ISSUES. OUR WHOLE EXPERIENCE ON OUR DEDICATED SERVER HAS BEEN A COMPLETE JOKE, NO ENGLISH CONTROL PANEL, TELEPHONE SYSTEM DOES NOT GIVE ENGLISH SUPPORT. THEY JUST DENY ANYTHING IS WRONG, OUR LAST CALL WAS CUT OFF BY RUDE SUPPORT GUY!!!!

thank you for your review. We truly apologize the fact, that you encountered any confusion with our hotline. First of all, we checked our ACD setup and can confirm that everything works as fine as it should. If you prefer an English menu, you just choose this language selection and every following step is answered in English.

You are right, there's no English version of the control panel. We're currently working on this task.

We investigated your request in depth and can't find any hint, that a member of our customer service team treated you wrong regarding a bad attitude, misleading information or providing you with not helpful answers. But instead, unfortunately some of the backend settings seem to have been set wrong, we assume by accident. As we had no access to your systems until a certain point, we weren't able to help out with our experience and professional background, of course. But after all, we provided you with some helpful suggestions regarding the webhosting settings. And it looks as if everything was working fine now. Can you confirm that your website is online, meanwhile?

English admin-website unusable (not properly translated)

We ordered a "managed server" via their English website and they also offer English support. However when it comes to the admin-website which is the interface to actually work with the server - this website is only party translated. The rest is still in German which makes it unusable at these parts.

So, they offer this English version to their customers with is only half-done. We contacted the support about this and got the reply they won't change it.

Very good server hosting

I am using Host Europe for websites on "my own" virtual hosts. I have never had any problems with them. fast suport and good value for the money.

They will scam you and there's nothing you can do about it. Don't give out your credit card information to these people.
