A whole lotta love for Hoop

Not sure what I would have done without Hoop on maternity leave with my first baby...

It's easy to get a bit lost in the abyss of new-baby-dom without plenty of great reasons to get out and meet new mums and dads, break up the daily feeding/sleeping routine, and feel supported by other parents in the same boat. Hoop was my trusty connection to that support network.

My little tot has never liked to sit still for a second and loves lots of interaction and change of scenery, so during mat leave, Hoop was my daily go-to app, to see what was on within my area, or beyond, if I felt like a trek. And since going back to work I still use it every weekend with plenty of great value (and sometimes free!) events to choose from.

The app is a joy to use – it looks delicious (so inviting and fun!) and it functions beautifully, with very handy tools, like connecting your event’s address straight to CityMapper to plan a journey for example. Paying is made super easy and I love how well organised my activities are filed within the app. There’s also such an impressive breath of activities to choose from, and the app acts as a regular reminder of why we live in our wonderful city, with an amazing variety of classes available for a wide range of age groups.

I’ve got a whole lotta love for Hoop and will certainly continue to use the app as my daughter grows...and continues to demand that we get out and about to see new things and meet new people!

Hoop has been invaluable

Hoop has been a massive part of the first year of my daughter’s life. I couldn’t have done it without it actually. It gave me structure in an otherwise challenging year and options when facing quieter and sometimes lonely days. The only minor criticism I have now, as she is coming up to 16 months old, is that there are enough options for the half terms and holidays.

Such a good way to find activities in my area - I used this religiously on mat leave (and still do). Easy to navigate, appealing layout and full of age appropriate suggestions.

Hoop is brilliant!

Hoop is a super useful app for any parent - whether you’ve got a newborn and looking to get out or need to entertain bored older kids.

I booked an event through the app and it was a very easy experience both in app and then at the event. I would like to see more accurate listings during the holidays as lots of baby events stop or change. I don’t think there’s a map function either which would be really handy.

Hoop is the only way I book children’s activities. It’s so convenient to have everything in one place on the app and there’s always so much on that I just wouldn’t have known about otherwise. I can book activities on the go in just a few clicks. Me and my one year old love it!
