I have worked for several support companies and none of them match HTS in terms of their responsiveness, attention to detail and care for both students and staff. Their rates of pay are also well above industry standards. The team at HTS is second to none, I worked for them for five years and never ran into any issues - they are very accommodating and understanding and communicate upfront about any changes. Couldn't recommend them enough!

I worked for the organisation for 3 years. Was disappointed by the lack of admin support for support workers and low pay grades. The final straw came when they started requesting staff go through unpaid but mandatory trainings, which is well outside the industry norms. Have now moved on to a much more supportive and fair wage employer in a similar field.

Support workers are amazing and students will leave great reviews for HTS. This is a reflection of the dedication in their support workers and not of the company itself. The company should be avoided by people wanting to start a career in the area of academic support work.

Through working almost 2 years with the company I have gained experience which can be used to work with different students. It is such a rewarding work by being able to help others to succeed with their studies. The communication are wonderful and they are so supportive. All the people are so lovely and helpful.

I've done 2 years of Study Skills support and Proofreading for students through HTS and appreciate their support immensely. The work is rewarding and supporting students of all walks of life is truly humbling. I hope to do even more work for them in the upcoming academic year.

I have had great support through this provider for study skills support and proofing.
I can recommend them and am moving the notetaking allocation over to them as well from another supplier who proved to be useless this last academic year.

I worked for HTS for just over a year and always found them to be on the ball with everything. Support was there when I needed it, there was enough work to keep me happy, we were paid promptly, and the work was rewarding.

My experience with this company has been bad from day one. I worked for them prior to the pandemic and did some difficult work no one else wanted to do, yet fell out with the owner over a minor misdamenour which resulted in him screaming hysterically and shouting abuse down the phone at me.

He didn't seem to care that I had gone out of my way to help in a number of ways and saw fit to terminate my contract.

More recently, they approached me on the Indeed website, inviting me to apply to work for them again. I thought this a bit odd given our history but did so nevertheless and was subsequently hired.

I worked succesfully for them since January as a Mentor, receiving praise from both my student and his parents. However just recently there was a malicious complaint made against me by a student and though explaining in great detail what was said, received absolutely no support from them.

Furthermore they accused me of some kind of subterfuge by not disclosing the fact I had worked for them for a short time previously, though had ample opportunity to find this out by themselves.

I resigned before they could terminate my contract (again). I would advise anyone NOT to work for them as they're shoddy and treat their staff with little or no respect.

I have worked as a Study Skills Tutor and as a Proofreader For HTS for over five years and it has been one of the most rewarding jobs I have had. I have worked with over a hundred students over the years and helped them develop study skills to succeed in their academic endeavours.

I have found the company to be very supportive indeed, the work is very flexible and they can give me as much work as I need. The staff of HTS are very helpful and approachable and there is useful peer support and the pay is very good!

Great experience working with HTS - the support work is so rewarding and the flexibility and hourly rate is excellent. Communication is good and working self employed they make an effort to be inclusive and make you feel part of the team.

I had the same mentor from them right through college and uni. She was really good and she was tuned right into how my particular needs have to be supported, which a lot of people struggle with.

The home tuition Scotland people got in touch quite regularly to check how it was going and they made me feel like they really cared that I got good mentoring.

Sometimes the journey with education is tough for me but they totally got me feeling I was not handling it alone.

I have been working with HTS as a Study Skills Tutor on a freelance basis since 2019. The agency provides prompt referrals which allow me to contact students quickly and offer support. HTS staff are easily accessible and they liaise efficiently with the teaching institutions. Staff also provide professional support and guidance on individual matters and I have found this invaluable.

HTS recently supplied a tutor for my daughter . I found them to be prompt , reliable and very professional. The tutor interacted very well, and made my daughter feel at ease .
