We are Homemade Homes the experienced property sales team within Accent Housing. Homemade Homes by Accent is a brand name for the sale of homes owned by Accent Housing Limited and Accent Homemade Limited.
We specialise in Shared Ownership, another way to buy your home. You buy a percentage and pay rent on the rest. We own just part of it – but you’re living there, you decorate it and decide when to sell.
Buying a percentage means a smaller deposit and a smaller mortgage. It’s a sooner first step on the ladder for lots of people. Usually, you can carry on buying further shares to own it 100%.
Buying a share means you need a lower mortgage and deposit than purchasing a property outright. This makes it a cost-effective way to own your own home and ideal for first-time buyers. Shared Ownership usually works out less per month than renting privately.
We want to be ‘with you for your journey’, whether that is helping you to take the first step onto the housing ladder or helping you search for a new home, we will be right there with you.
We have Shared Ownership homes across the country, from Surrey to Yorkshire and have helped hundreds of people fulfil their home ownership ambitions. We offer new and resale Shared Ownership homes as well as helping our current customers buy more of their home or sell it when they want to move on.

First time buyer as a single mum
From looking at the houses, to going through the paperwork and reservation fee they have been great. Ash has been so helpful and so informative too. Nothing was too much trouble. If anyone if looking for shared ownership as a 1st time buyer or like myself after a divorce, I'd highly recommend homemade homes. And the houses are so much better 😍 what you get in these houses you wouldn't in any other. I can just move straight in and not think of flooring all the way through, or anything for the kitchen! I wouldn't go for another houses on the market except these.
Just a massive thank you from the very start to the almost finish.

Lucy was really helpful when selling my property, she was always responsive to my queries, chased the relevant departments and kept me in the loop in what turned out to be a highly stressful and slow process due to mine and my buyers solicitors.

Highly recommended and friendly team
When we found the house we liked home made homes were very quick to respond to our enquiry. This is our first time buying and to be honest it's a little scary. Ash has been amazing, he's held our hand through the whole process. He has always been quick to respond, fitted us in at short notice, stayed on late and just been a really lovely point of contact. They as team have been amazing at chasing solicitors and reporting any issues we have. Ash and the team have made our experience enjoyable and very positive one.
The house has come ready to move into including all flooring, which most new homes offer at an extra cost. For us this means we can move our family into our forever home and enjoy it straight away. Huge thank you to home made homes for our lovely experience and beautiful new home.
