More than a bit of a scam
A bit of a scam, so beware. Tech is okay. But it's one of those sites that won't let you cancel easily so that they can keep charging you monthly fees. You have to email them and then they don't respond. I have been trying for months, but they don't respond and have continued to charge me each month.

Beware everyone, there are dozens of people saying the same thing I did, that this is scam and they won't let you cancel. Their response to my review appears to be an AI. Moreover, I finally got a response from their support (which you need to cancel). Shockingly, they didn't cancel my account...instead they just offered 2 months free and then asked what I want. They know what I want! See below for their email.

I’ve been testing HomeDesignsAI and I think it has a lot of potential.
What I liked:
The guidance/tutorial approach helps a lot. If you actually follow the instructions, the experience is much smoother.
Uploading your own photo is easy, and generating multiple variations makes it simple to explore different looks without spending forever rewriting prompts.
The custom instruction box is a huge plus — the more specific you are (style, colors, what to keep/remove), the better the outputs.
What could be better:
Some results can look too similar to the original photo depending on your settings. I’d love clearer “best settings for bigger changes” guidance right in the workflow.
Pricing/feature access could be more transparent. I ran into moments where I thought something was included, then realized it required an additional upgrade/add-on. Not necessarily overpriced — just confusing in the moment.
Overall, it’s a solid tool and worth trying, especially if you follow the instructions and use detailed prompts.

Hard to use, anything useful requires an additional upgrade to another very expensive service, and impossible to cancel, they essentially argue with you over email. Do not purchase.

Absolutely horrible company
Absolutely horrible company. The app itself is clunky and does not make much sense. But the worst part is trying to cancel their service. Despite boasting 100% money back guarantee and promising to process a refund promptly when I requested it, they failed to do that. I had to dispute charges with my credit card company. To make matters worse, they just charged me again for the same cancelled subscription. This company is a scam, and I would stay far away.

Scammy up-sale bait and switch tactics. Features listed in plans are not available without an upgrade. No caveats or asterisks made. Specifically, the Moroccan and Steampunk styles are not available at all. The "NEW" features in the Expert Plan are not included - they are paid add-ons or paid one-time-use tokens (NEW Generate Videos, 1 Click Virtual Staging, 2D to 3D Floorplans, 1 Click Remove Furniture, etc). Nano Banana Pro will do the job if you create a carefully crafted prompt. This is just a middleware UI cash grab that will bo obsolete in a year. Can get the job done, but buyer beware.

That’s why some features are offered as optional add-ons, rather than bundled into every plan by default.
There is no bait-and-switch intent. All advanced features (including video generation, 2D–3D floor plans, one-click tools, etc.) require significantly more compute and infrastructure, which is why they are separated. This approach allows users to pay only for what they actually need, instead of forcing higher prices on everyone.
Regarding styles: availability can vary depending on the tool used (interior, exterior, staging, etc.), and we’re continuously updating and rotating styles as models evolve. If a specific style didn’t behave as expected, that’s feedback we genuinely value.
We also want to be clear that HomeDesignsAI is not positioned as a prompt-only image generator, but as a visual design workflow tool that combines multiple AI models, controls, and refinement steps in one interface. Some users prefer raw prompt-based tools, others prefer guided workflows, both are valid.

I suscribed for 1 month to try it. A few days later, I sent an email to inform I did not want to continue (26/12/2025) and that they would cancel my suscription (that renewed on 20/01/2026). I sent another email 31/12/2025. No answer on both emails.
They charged me again on 20/01/2026. This is awful... The tool was OK, but no way I am recommending this. (I am reporting it to my bank).

Subscribed to the three day trial. I found the app was not suitable for what I required and decided I would cancel my subscription. I could not cance through google playstore. I sent numerous emails requesting to cancel my trial subscription but this was not acted on or delaying tactics were used and thus I was promptly charged once the three day period elapsed

Horrible experience
I tried to test HomeDesigns AI for free to compare with three other tools I was testing, but they simply captured my email and then put up a banner saying the tool is disabled for free users. I can't imagine how much worse the user experience becomes after one pays them.

Poor app, and lie about money back guarantee
1. The app isn't that good. For the price I'd expect the prompt function to be a lot better. It's very hard / impossible to get the specific design you want. It's just an idea generator, which you can get much better solutions through actual AI engines like Google's veo 3.
2. they scam you into thinking there's a 30 day money back guarantee. But there isn't. It's only 7 days, even though the website shows 30 days. After a lot of back and forth of them trying to keep me and stating "Just please refund the money" they eventually gave me a partial refund.
Don't trust them. They are liars and their app is poor.

Do not waste your time with this program
Wow. This product is terrible.
I messaged and submitted feedback about every picture that the program created, as NONE of them worked... the walls were consistently pink when they should have been grey, the instructions were never followed, and the features did not work consistently.
I was never credited back any tokens that I burned up trying, over and over again to make the photos work, so in the end, I asked for a full refund, as none of the photos were usable. Well, my bad because I was 2 days past the full refund date and they would not make an exception. They said that I would receive a partial refund on December 4th, 2025, which would take 5-10 days to process. Well, it is 15 days later and no refund.... go figure.
If you need virtual staging done that requires removal of items in a photo, colors changed for walls, to maintain certain aspects (floors, lights) and to to multi-dimensional photos then this is not the program to use, you are better off going to Fiverr, trust me.

HomeDesigns AI…Fun to use to generate visual inspiration
I enjoyed using the HomeDesigns AI platform and found it incredibly helpful. I was able to generate numerous creative ideas for exterior changes to my current home, which was exactly within my scope of work for the next year or two. I used this for a week or two and then canceled my subscription because I had more than enough visual inspiration!
If and when I move on to a separate landscaping project, I would absolutely plan to return and renew a monthly subscription to gather fresh ideas. The platform is a fantastic tool for that purpose.
I see at least two types of users for HomeDesigns AI design services: those who want inspiration and ideas for their own projects, and those who may want to build a business using AI tools for their client base. I firmly fall into the first category—using a great tool to spark creativity and explore fun, thoughtful design ideas.
I fully understand that the research, development, and ongoing maintenance of a platform like this. This requires significant investment. I felt the monthly fee was very reasonable, and I was happy with the value I received.

I used HomeDesigns.ai over the last…
I used HomeDesigns.ai over the last year, when remodeling our home and in the midst of a challenging time in life (our home was flooded from top down due to a tornado) this software showed me there is a possibility to make something great out of a low time in life.
I used this for my rooms and one especially, our foyer, it is what I call a 'waste of space' due to 4 doors and a large enough room to suit for a bedroom. I was looking for a Christmas design, uploaded the picture and after reviewing a few options, found the perfect layout which changed a wasted foyer into a comfortable, warm and welcoming foyer that friends and family come into and feel like they are stepping into a Christmas space.
Also, look for all the online training which is offered, it helped me greatly to use this software and not feel too overwhelmed.
That was just one of the examples of how I was able to turn a negative experience into something awesome - I love this software.

I tried to set up an account and while it presumably took my credit card the "result" has been repeated urgings for more upgrades and confusing offers for more services that I thought was included in the price. Indeed, I log into the dash board to actually try it and the screen scrolls through and endless series of fleeting text and imagery to arrive at yet another "Christmas" offer. If its not a scam, I have no idea what it is.

I am a homeowner and was looking for a relatively easy AI design generator for a few projects. HomeDesignsAI worked well for me. Many of the images it returned gave me some inspiration enough to give me ideas. Admittedly, not all the designs were useful. The dashboard was relatively easy to use. Uploading pics and selecting the level of design along with offering styles to choose from helped me. One thing I wish it would have done was to keep doors and windows as they were in my pictures. A feature that seems like it does that didn't seem to do so. But it wasn't prohibitive. It'd just be nice if it kept the structural elements. It worked for my projects, and I'd resubscribe in the future if the need arises.

Multitude of Problems
It cannot cope with simple exterior renderings without amending the structure.
I signed up for expert with loads of offerings. When I try to use them, I am forced to upgrade. Something of a con.
Cancellations are only by email. Really!!! beware. I have asked, lets hope it happens.
There are better programs, this is just the best at marketing itself.
