Product is garbage, cancellation a nightmare
Product is garbage, AI slop. Don't accept the free trial. It requires a credit card to bill after 7 days and promises you can cancel, but site does not allow you to manage your subscription. Site says to email them; no response. Help desk says submit a ticket and you'll get an email confirmation; doesn't happen. Funny how they can automate emails to offer free trials and upsells but can't acknowledge requests for help or requests to cancel. Thank god for Reddit and the link to the third-party billing site where you can cancel without waiting for them to do it. Do not give them your credit card. Advice to HomeDesigns: if you actually want to show what your product can do, give a trial of features that actually work, not this junk.
To clarify: When free trial users are logged in *using the email on file* and follow the directions for subscribers to self-cancel, the option *is* blocked and prevents the ability to cancel. I call BS on that response, if the system allows paid users to log in and cancel but free trial users in the same system can't.
I also received a demand from TrustPilot to provide additional information and a reference number to prevent my review from being taken down. HomeDesignAI never provided a reference number for the ticket I submitted asking to cancel, which was part of my issue. You submit an online request for help and the page says you'll receive an email acknowledgement and it never arrives.

Purchased the entry level service providing virtual interior design tools and as soon as I created my account I was hounded to upgrade upgrade upgrade to fully experience their wonderful appl. I tried to get by with the basic service but then realized the "limited" version wouldn't allow me to use the wall paint feature so reluctantly ordered the "pro" version for a one time fee of $69. This version advertised as providing access to this feature but once upgraded was then prompted to sign up for the next level up or would not have access to this feature. After logging in and out and even rebooting my computer several times, I was still told I would need to upgrade one more time.
I then searched for how to cancel the appl. and request refund but "surprisingly" coukd find no such info.
I did find a customer service email which I contacted but 2 days later had still received no response.
I wound up contacting my bank and had to file a fraud claim to get reimbursed.

After the 7 day trial, I plan to continue with a regular subscription since I can use it for my daily needs. I accidentally subscribed twice. I wrote to them and they replied very quickly. They offered to extend my subscription for that amount, but I decided I wanted to test the service for just one month first and requested a refund for the accidental charge. They refunded everything within 12 days. I highly recommend them—the app is great and so is the support!

Doesn't follow prompts very well.
Although the results end up looking beautiful and very realistic, the program doesn't follow the prompts accurately. I tried probably 15 times to add a small porch to the front of my house, and no matter what wording I used, it created a porch that was about twice the size of what I wanted. Very disappointing since that one task was my main purpose for using the app.

Your product is not helpful to me at this point. I am so aggregative!! I want to input the floor layout of my house that is being constructed so I can get renderings of what it will look like and ideas for decor. Your software just wants me to purchase more to more to create what I am looking for. So at this current time I have cancelled since your product is not what I read about. I cancelled within an hour after purchasing and it will not give me my money back!! Such a scam. If your product is as good as you advertise you should stand by it and give the customer their refund!! Everything is an upgrade. It takes you from one upgrade to another. As an interior designer with over 30 years of experience, I’ve watched design tools evolve from hand sketches and sample boards to the incredible digital platforms we have today. This program really highlights how far the industry has come. It’s a huge leap from what was available when I first started, and I genuinely find it exciting to use.
The platform itself is very easy to navigate and surprisingly intuitive. Because the technology is still developing, good prompts make a big difference when creating a room, but once you get the hang of it, the results can be absolutely stunning. It’s a powerful creative tool and a lot of fun to experiment with.
I also have to mention the customer service, which has been exceptional. Every time I’ve reached out, the team has been quick to respond, patient, and extremely helpful, which makes learning the platform much easier.
I noticed a few reviews suggesting this company is a scam, and honestly that hasn’t been my experience at all. From what I’ve seen, this is a legitimate, innovative company that clearly cares about its users and continues to improve the platform.

The Home Design AI platform has been extremely helpful to me in taking the vision for my remodel out of my head and putting it in real visual image. I took photos of my backyard and created my landscape vision. The designs came out beautifully. It is a lot like chatGPT. Sometimes you need to give it multiple prompts to get what you ultimately need. I gave my landscape design to my landscaper to create what I wanted. I also used this tool to make my remodel elevations for my home come alive. I had fun and came away with a clearer idea of what I want.

HomeDesignsAI offered mockups of rooms that I felt could be more aesthetically pleasing. Based on an uploaded picture of the room, it created designs that were very inspirational. These provided springboards for makeovers that turned out very well! I have used HomeDesignsAI to improve three rooms and the results are wonderful!
