I found out the hard way that Angi is only worried about their profit, NOT the customers. My contract with Angi was for $280 a month of leads. First I wasn’t getting the correct amount of leads then... See more

It’s a horrible sinful shame that Angie’s Became Angie in the control of the past HomeAdvisor. Her name is trashed because of unscrupulous thieves who don’t care about homeowners nor contractors and are simply out there for the greedy buck. Of course,, like HomeAdvisor, their time is limited and future lawsuits against them are on the horizon, repeating HomeAdvisor s history.

Horrible. First of all you need to give your credit card to sign up for the trial. It says it will not charge but it did charge me $50. I called to be told it was just an authorization and would fall off in 72 hours. It's been over a week now and it has not. Now I just had 9 bougus charges come through overdrawing my account by $700. I haven't used my card for anything not 1 thing that I don't use it for every day so it has to be this. Do not use. They are croooks!!!!

total scam, expensive and fake leads, can't modify account without calling in, can't delete account, fraudulent charges

I enrolled in Angi Pro on an annual subscription based on representations about lead volume and quality. In practice, the service delivered almost no usable leads and resulted in zero jobs over roughly two months.
When I raised concerns and requested cancellation, I explicitly stated that cancellation was not authorized if an early termination fee would be charged. Despite this being documented in chat, Angi proceeded to cancel the account and charged $1,225 anyway.
The response since then has been to redirect me to phone numbers where nothing is resolved, while maintaining that the charge was “required by policy,” despite the lack of authorization.
I’m sharing this so other businesses understand the risk. Even if a company claims you “agreed” to certain terms, consumer protections still apply when charges are processed without consent or services are materially misrepresented. Concerns like this can be reported to the FTC at ftc.gov.
As you notice below, they have a bot who will pretend to reach out and try to resolve the issue.

I’ve used them for years. Always had an issue with getting fake leads or leads that were not in my service area or services that I offered. They will likely never refund any request for a lead. I called over the span of six months to speak with my account manager who was never available or gave me a phone call back. When I called to cancel they told me no refunds were possible and that they could have fixed the problem six months earlier, but they never reached back out to me. Highly highly do not recommend.

Please don’t fall for their scam!!! They will sweet talk you, into a contract you don’t fully comprehend. I was scammed $2000k for a cancellation fee. Something I enforced I was not happy with the service provided. They immediately canceled me and charged me $2k for it. I’ve tried to call numerous times and now they won’t pick up my phones. Don’t get ripped off like I did. I too was reading these reviews back in the day. Thinking I wouldn’t get ripped off by them.

This is an absolute SCAM ! They rip off contractors by charging outrageous amounts for fake leads and then refuse to return the money—even when you can clearly prove the lead is fake. Customer service is completely nonexistent. Stay away from this company at all costs!

I'm a contractor located in NC. Angie's was providing me with leads, but I have to said that they don't care about quality leads they only care about the monthly charges to your account, they don't care about refunding your leads amount in the next sicle and if you call asking for refund they will tell you that they are going to credit it on the next bill sicle but you never see it. It was the worst decision ever for my business.

Gary’s Handyman Services (903) 617-1947 in Tyler, Texas did an outstanding job on removing a built in cabinet in my home, getting the Sheetrock ready, replacing missing trim, then painting to match.
We just hired him for another job!

If you are a business owner, STAY AWAY!!! Terrible leads, terrible customer service, zero accountability for their horrendously flawed system.

Terrible company. Was baited into continuing to work with them over the last few years. They lie about the contracts they provide. Lie about fees and cancelation just to try and get you to stay with them. Was paying 1200$ a month then tried to cancel they said they would
Give me 700$ a month in leads for 300$ and I realized after 6 months they were only
Giving me 350$ worth of leads. I tried to cancel again and they charged me 700$ cancelation when they he sales rep said I’d be month to month with no cancelation.

I am a veteran and a small business owner, and my experience with Angie (Angi) has been an absolute nightmare. This company operates on predatory tactics, misleading sales pitches, and a total lack of professional integrity.
The Bait and Switch:
When I signed up, I provided a specific ZIP code coverage area for leads. Almost immediately, I began receiving leads far outside my territory. When I investigated, I discovered that their representative had "slipped in" extra ZIP codes I never agreed to just to justify their lead costs. They effectively modified my service area without my consent to charge me for leads I couldn’t even use.
Broken Promises:
A major part of their sales pitch was "reputation management," promising to migrate and add my reviews from other sources to my profile to build client trust. Despite multiple phone calls and "promises" that they would get right on it, it was never done. I was paying for a service they simply refused to provide.
Predatory Fees:
When I realized I was getting zero ROI and being charged for bogus leads, I tried to resolve it. Instead of fixing the issues, they essentially forced me into a position where I had to cancel. They then hit me with a $2,000+ "Early Termination Fee." They took over $2,000 from my account right as I was entering my slow season, showing zero regard for the financial health of the small businesses they claim to support.
The "Service" Experience:
I recently spoke with a "Relations Specialist" who was dismissive and talked down to me. Their stance is: "We have your money, the contract says we can keep it, and if you don't like it, we'll send you to collections." There is no voice of reason or accountability at this company. They are up $2,000+ on me for less than a month of "service" where they failed on every single promise.
Bottom Line: If you are a small business owner, STAY AWAY. They will ignore your requested boundaries, fail to deliver on technical promises, and then use "contractual" traps to drain your bank account. They aren't a partner; they are a liability.

We repeatedly received leads from Angi that were not valid or contactable, disconnected numbers, wrong information, and no real way to reach an actual customer. When we contacted support, we were told they do not control or guarantee whether the leads are valid, which is extremely concerning for a paid lead service.
After a long conversation requesting cancellation, making it clear we did not authorize any cancellation fee, the fee was still processed. We are now disputing the charge and documenting everything.
Businesses deserve real leads and honest service. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.
Hi Hector, thank you for replying.
We have already contacted your support team multiple times over the past months and nothing has been resolved.
To clarify:
– We are not a homeowner. We are a contractor who paid for Angi Leads.
– Most of the “leads” we received were not real or valid customers (wrong numbers, disconnected numbers, invalid information, or people who had no idea why we were calling).
– Your own support team told us that Angi does not guarantee whether leads are real, which is extremely concerning for a paid lead service.
– During our cancellation call we clearly stated that we did NOT authorize any cancellation fee, yet the fee was still processed without our consent.
At this point, what we need is not another generic email.
We are requesting:
1️⃣ Written acknowledgment of the invalid leads
2️⃣ Full reversal of the unauthorized cancellation fee
We will continue communication, but we prefer everything in writing for documentation and transparency.
Thank you,
As Angi suggested, we contacted support again. Unfortunately, instead of reviewing evidence or the recorded call, we were simply told that their “internal notes” say we authorized the cancellation and fee. This is NOT accurate. During the call we clearly stated multiple times that we did NOT authorize any cancellation fee and did NOT consent to being charged.
It is extremely disappointing that Angi chooses to rely only on what their representative wrote, instead of what the customer clearly said or reviewing the recorded call that would prove it.
In addition, our issue is not just about quantity. The majority of the leads we received were NOT real or usable customers (wrong numbers, disconnected numbers, invalid information, or people who had no idea why we were contacting them). We received around two usable contacts at most, not what was shown in the app, and definitely not real prospects.
We continue requesting:
– Review and acknowledgment of the invalid/unusable leads
– Review of the recorded call
– Full reversal of the unauthorized cancellation fee
So far, we are still not receiving a resolution.

My experience with Angie as a contractor has been horrible they overcharge for leads and most of the phone numbers are disconnected or doesn’t connect you with a potential customer who needs services, and they try their hardest not to reimburse you for bad leads..complete scam

Terrible company and customer service. Lies from the very start. When signing up they never mentioned a year long contract. We were told we could cancel any time, no charge…after a month of useless leads (people would say they didn’t sign up for anything OR no answers) we decided to cancel our plan… we were told we signed a year contract … over the phone?? Ok..and that we’d have to pay whatever was left of the contract which was $1,800. Or stay in our plan and continue paying 780/month..no thanks. Please if you’re a company owner don’t get caught up in their lies. Whatever they advertise is all false. Taking advantage of companies trying to make it.

Ive been here since it was Service magic, or whatever the name was. The leads used to be cost effective and lead to actual bids. Now if I miss re-pausinng them Ill get a bombarded with junk before I can pause it
within in the same day. Every single one is a scammer. And the company refuses to give refunds. They need to be sued, seriously. They have just become a money grabbing scam operation.

Just lies since the beginning, they told me i could transfer my reviews from Yelp, once i paid resulted i can't, The supposed clients doesn't answer when you contact them, and now you sign a contract per a year, so now I'm screwed because now i have to pay $560.00 per month for a whole year for fake leads. I'm such an idiot.

It’s crazy that most everyone who wrote a review and left one star and that’s because zero was not an option! Yet, they have 87% of people who rated them 5 stars?? I hope people read the reviews and not the ratings!

Reply from Angi Leads
Scam all the way, once they have your card information they play a game of withdrawing money at random for no leads. Then, after you fight for a refund, they take their time. They wont take your card information off of their file even though your account is canceled.
