Outstanding craftsmanship and problem-solving from start to finish
We recently had an 8x5m custom golf room built, and the finished result is absolutely first-class. The design blends seamlessly with the style of our main house, looking like an intentional, permanent architectural addition rather than an afterthought.
What really set this team apart was how they handled structural challenges during the planning phase. Because it’s a dedicated swing studio, ceiling height was critical, and we also needed to eliminate interior support posts to create an open hitting bay. Working alongside a structural engineer, the team adapted the engineering seamlessly to give us the exact clear span and vertical clearance required.
Another major plus was their use of ground screws instead of standard concrete foundations, which preserved the root systems of the mature trees surrounding the site.
On site, the crew were true professionals—exceptionally skilled, polite, and tidy at every stage. As with any bespoke build, a few minor snags cropped up, but they were addressed quickly and without any fuss. I couldn't be happier with the build quality and would hire them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Steve from Customer Service was fantastic and incredibly helpful from start to finish. He was always friendly, responsive and happy to help whenever we had any questions.

Our only challenge was lack of consistency with the installation team. We didn’t have one point of contact, and didn’t know who was coming each day. This made the installation process a little difficult at times. However, everyone on site was extremely professional and helpful.

The quality of the finished product and the overall service were brilliant. We’re so happy with our new garden room - it’s exactly what we wanted! I would 100% recommend Hideaway to anyone considering a garden room.

They instantly grasped the design I was after. My new garden room is going to be my art studio and the windows and sliding doors and glass panels make the space so bright and open. They came with a very high specification in terms of cladding and insulation. I had done my homework and they gave me confidence they are one of the best.

Construction was flawless, efficient, and exciting to watch.

They really supported me through out and even after the build they care about my future working from there.

I can't recommend them more...its like a second home and I can see how many people use their rooms as a quiet peaceful recluse or gym where you can just get away and relax.

Super, super happy with our fabulous new garden office.

We did a fair bit of research before we decided to go with Hideaway - they came in at a very competitive price for what we got, and had more much more flexibility than lots of the options we looked at. We knew we were going to get an actual office building rather than a glorified shed!

From start to finish the guys have been superb. Steve was extremely helpful whilst we were deciding on the design of the office, and we were able to spec exactly what we wanted - down to the exact square metarage to fit our space.

Everyone that's on site has been extremely professional, and these guys have worked through some of the maddest weather possible - hail, tropical downpours, 36° sunshine, they've handled it all without complaint and just cracked on - they all deserve medals! And they're all lovely - Chris, Matt, Tom, and everyone else who has worked here have all been extremely friendly and accommodating - even sharing rides so we didn't have to use up too many parking permits.

The finished product is everything we hoped for, everything finished to a really high standard. Particularly happy with the doors we chose, being able to completely open up the articulated doors makes a massive difference to the feel of the office.

Overall, we would 100% recommend Hideaway - and if we need another outbuilding at some point in the future we know exactly where to turn!

Really happy with our garden room from Hideaway. The team were all very friendly, professional and very respectful of our home, even though they had to bring materials through the house as we don’t have side access. It was great being able to customise all aspects of the build, it means it exactly suits are needs. Overall a great experience and we’d definitely recommend them.

We chose Hideaway to build a “Willow Retreat” room to use as an office and gym space. Every interaction with Hideway, from the early conversations to completion, was friendly, highly professional and consistent. We found this continued with every member of the team not just the owners or salespeople. The builders were always friendly, made sure to speak to us for any decisions or issues and were very mindful to not disturb our neighbours. The build was not easy as the weather was below freezing, and a bad bout of flu went through their team. However, they worked incredibly hard to keep the build close to the schedule they had set out beforehand. We’re very happy with the outcome: the garden room looks great and is of high quality. A big thank you to Matt, Mark, Steve, and the whole team. Overall, a very refreshing experience to work with a building company that is very clear on what they will do and then follows through to deliver exactly what they say.

Hideaway designed and built our garden room in Autumn 2025, and I’m very happy to recommend them.
