Since 1989, we have been providing compassionate, person-centred care at home to individuals across the UK. Our journey started in a small house in Warwickshire, and today, we have over 150 branches across the country. This growth has allowed us to extend our exceptional care and make a bigger difference while allowing our customers to remain in the place they love. Our carers are kind and compassionate individuals who always go the extra mile. They are fully trained to provide the highest level of care, no matter what condition you are living with. We are also recognised for delivering specialist dementia care, a service we have enhanced through our partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society. This has allowed us to provide our carers with dementia training to help support our customers living with different types of dementia. Our service is fully regulated and monitored by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales. We are proud to have received an overall rating of GOOD, and the CIW reported that our carers go “above and beyond, doing things that are ‘not on the list’.

No pushing from my first enquiry, assured dignity and privacy will be protected and it is by the carers.
The carers are always polite, courteous and have sense of humour especially with tales of their young children. They are also more than willing to perform tasks I’m unable to do. My coffee is made to my preference and they never leave without checking if there is anything else they can do. The recycling is put out every morning, this is done without me having to ask and if any washing up needs to be done they just do it.
I’m more than happy I chose Helping Hands and know that when more help will be required in future that they will meet my needs.
They frequently ring me to check everything is alright with my care (it is) but if anything is not they resolve the issue immediately.
It’s not just the carers who are really good, it’s the office staff too. They put themselves out last Christmas to organise a fantastic Carol Concert with staff providing refreshments and volunteered to drive clients to the Church which ended with everyone being given a gift bag of goodies provided the Life Church who provided their choir and musicians. Some of the carers sang solos and played violin.
I’m looking forward to this year’s concert.
Once again, I’m more than happy with the care I receive because of the continuity of a team of carers.

Update:(Oh, yes it is! Regular speeding deliveries of essentials: lettuce, herbs were booked and approved by your management. I would suggest to crack on with service improvement.) Not impressed with management recommendations of local dealers ships. Stuff arrives usually cracked and split. Don't use them!

The careers are very friendly respectful and caring. We did have a few problems with times they visited, not being here the times we were specified however after speaking to the office this problem was soon rectified. They are very professional and knowledgeable. They care about what they do and speak very positively about the company

We had a great rapport with all levels of HH's staff. From Rachael who came out & visited mum in her home to the individual carers who visited. When we had 1 carer who didn't quite gel with mum, HH took that on board & worked with us to find the right fit. No issues, just great communication, common sense & empathy. Mum clearly had her favourites & HH obliged.

I have been a customer for a considerable time and have found that all the carers have the same attitude to their project which is to do the best that can be achieved in the time.

The call was professional from Chelsea Freeman, assessing who we were and what we may need.
We look forward to meeting Liz to assess our requirements as arranged.

We experienced exceptional help and support from Kerry who visited my Dad today in Devizes and took him to the minor injuries unit following a bump to the head from slipping in the shower. These guys are amazing, we'd be in all sorts of difficulties without the help and support they provide every day. Kerry went above & beyond today, Thank-you.

I've used helping hands for my elderly mother for years then out of the bue I needed care myself at the age of 38 they have all gone above and beyond to make it as comfy as possible for me given my age and the circumstances that put me in this position. Im very happy.

After an assessment with us and my dad we were confident, and the person they sent round (Ian) was great and my dad really liked him, so far so good. Unfortunately after the first week of 3 pre arranged visits they were uncontactable, after 3 emails and 2 phone calls where no one answered and I left messages to get back to me, I heard nothing by either email or phone, and although making it clear we didn't need a visit the following Monday they still sent someone round, so I called again and got no answer. I resorted to contacting their head office and 2 weeks later the manager finally called me where I voiced my disgust, she agreed and was going to raise a complaint, I heard nothing for 2 weeks when the original assessor called to ask if we wanted any more visits!!! She was completely unaware of the issues despite being emailed 3 times, and when I told her that her boss had called and about the on going complaint and she said "Oh, I haven't spoken to her for weeks!" For an organisation that is "caring" for the elderly and sick I would have thought the first priority would be ease of contact and good communication.. We have lost complete confidence in Helping Hands and I would seriously recommend you avoid them at all costs.

The carers were really lovely. The admin behind the scenes was pretty bad, which left the carers in the awkward position of being constantly late because they were told different times. The invoicing is a shambles, and they clearly have no communication with the team responsible for the visits, so the invoices are constantly wrong, reflecting the poor admin. When you have so much to do, caring, you don't need this to add to time and stress levels.

It was my first contact with the company and Chelsey the customer care specialist could not have been more helpful clear and understanding. I have booked a care assessment and hope that the remainder of the service provided is of the same high standard.
