Nice at first, disappointing at last

It's very practical to have all the necessary ingredients to cook new recipes, to try out new ways of cooking. But the more I bought food at Hellofresh, the more I got the impression that the ingredients had gotten of lower and lower quality. Intensive livestock farming eggs and meat, low quality vegetables,... I was a fan at the beginning, but now I've gladly stopped being a client.

Things could be without frustration

Things could be without frustration, but it is not the case.
The App has bugs, and does not work properly. Email notifications do not work transparently so that I found a box on my doorstep after having forgotten to cancel my account, due to the inability to do so over their website or their app and having to take extra time to call them or write an email, which I forgot.
Then there was one ingredient missing and some of the ingredients seemed to have been thrown into the box so that they were lying in the bottom and I had to figure out what goes with what. Not convenient anymore.

To their credit after searching for 5 min I found that I could get an "ingredient missing" refund, which will be applied to the next box on the basis of trust. That is really nice.

I may be too picky, but they advertise and I take them by their word. Nevertheless, if I am still too picky, feel free to use this overall convenient app and service, with good recepies which taste good too, and with a reasonable costumer service.

Nice experience!

I have started my HelloFresh experience not so long ago, but since my first box I haven’t stopped ordering and might have had a dozen boxes since. I really like it : good recipes, on time deliveries (with one exception, which is ok in my book), rediscovery of the pleasure of cooking). I had missing / damaged items in 2 boxes, which is pretty annoying BUT mistakes happen, plus customer care does a real good job. So, I won’t stop ordering from HelloFresh anytime soon. Keep up the good work!

HelloFresh is great

In my opinion HelloFresh offers a great start in your first cooking experiences. The recipes are easy to follow and I even got to know some new ones!
Yes. It’s a little expensive, but it’s justified by the great quality of the products and the service!

Attempted to cancel delivery days…

Attempted to cancel delivery days before and was told no can do even though I was physically not at the address due to lockdown and had to be somewhere else due to an emergency. Was told no can do we decide when you need to pay and we decide when you can cancel. They pass you on to debt collectors immediately. Avoid them. H

In order to deliver fresh ingredients we must order them specifically for a customer. Therefore there is indeed a specific set day to do a last change on the order.
In the event of an outstanding payment, there is several payment reminder sent before a file is transferred to a debt collector.

Horrible

Horrible, I was sent food boxes I didn't consent to be delivered, now I'm been sent increased invoices an threatened with debt collectors. If anyone can offer advice, please get in touch. Food is also sub-standard.

Need to rethink their subscription structure

Tried to cancel 4 days before delivery and was told it wasnt possible. Delivery went ahead to include pork/chicken thigh (things I do no or cannot eat).

I know have debt collection letters i cannot pay for this wasted food. Why is it not possible to cancel before the box is packed and why go ahead with delivery when the payment has not been successful!? (I made them aware days before delivery I would not be able to pay for this box!)

I had to pay almost £60 for their error!

I had to pay almost £60 to this company because they sent a box to my old address. They didn't ask for my delivery address and sent the box without my paying for it. I usually pay for any goods and I found that unusual. I complained that I should have to pay for something I didn't receive and they were at fault for not requesting details of my delivery address. They used my old address which I left over three ears ago when my husband went into a dementia care home My old address was obviously still on their records. They hounded me for the initial payment which I felt was partly their fault, anyway eventually I had to pay for the box plus the debt collectors fee. I am still upset with all this. Audrey (82)
