Having hello fresh has been a great opportunity for our teenage boys to step up their cooking skills. We have also found that less ‘last minute’ trips to the supermarket has been cost saving.

Freshness issues and a customer service nightmare
Firstly, there is nothing 'fresh' about this food. There is no nutritional information or transparency regarding where the food was produced or packed—only ingredient labels. Food loses nutritional value once it has been cut, and it typically spoils quickly afterward. It seems clear that chemicals are being used to maintain a 'fresh' appearance.
Secondly, I updated my address for a delivery scheduled for the following week. The system confirmed the change was 'successfully updated,' yet the box was still sent to my old address and left to rot on the doorstep.
Thirdly, when I tried to cancel, they made it incredibly difficult. They insisted on charging me and tried to force me to stay by offering deep discounts. I was eventually charged for a box I never received and had to dispute the charge after they threatened to involve a debt collector.
This has been a terrible experience—it feels like a scam. While the meals are easy to cook, the service is nearly impossible to leave. My sister had similar issues; avoid this company.

Food quality is dropping, quantities are dropping, having to provide more of our own ingredients, delivery issues, great customer service but only if you can get hold of anyone.

Very intuitive website, ordering the dishes, reporting issues and managing accounts is super simple. Food ingredients are always fresh, delivery consistent. I wish you could plan further forward than just 4 weeks.

we have 5 people and i can either get 4…
we have 5 people and i can either get 4 (not enough) or 6 (too much) while i understand you have to be cost effective if you had your lots done in 2's and 3's it would be a lot easier , you could then offer all quantity's from 2 to 20 or what ever
also a few Kiwi dish's would be great seeing you are in New Zealand, we don't all like foreign dish's which seem to make up most of the options

Service is always reasonable
Service is always reasonable. It's a luxury so people shouldn't be surprised if it's expensive lol. But all in all the food is delivered quickly and in one piece with other providers seem to have trouble with. Exactly what you would want when ordering food.

The recipes are easy to follow
The recipes are easy to follow, They arrive well packed and the products are very good. All in all I cannot fault your service or your quality of goods.
Would recommend you without hesitation. Just like everyone, I guess get sick of the same thing and like a change occasionally. In winter would like more soups. Variety is important to me.

I find the service really good. But the last two boxes the seasoning packets have been really solid and dry and hard to use.

Not worth it
Not worth it - average food. Plus once you cancel they will harass you for years. Phone calls, snail mail, emails. Hubby just got a 10 minute phone call from the Phillipines and could barely speak the whole time bc they’re too busy trying to get your money. Sealed the deal that we will never resubscribe.

The best affordable investment in healthier eating
The best affordable investment in healthier eating and lesser food waste. I don’t have to think about what to cook and hubby and I do the cooking together. We have enjoyed all of our meals and our food budget is better. Thanks to the extensive range of meals, our taste buds have become fussy when eating out, to the point where we’d rather have our hello fresh. Having the flexibility to skip deliveries when on holiday or make changes is great and the occasional missed ingredient was sorted immediately. Highly recommended for couples.

Haven't been overly impressed with freshness of fresh items. Also have had a rotten meat one week. Failure to deliver one week, wrong address delivery another. And have had avocardos in order that are far from ripe and unable to use.
