What really stood out was how attentive and thoughtful he was. Greekly is truly our family’s travel dream come true! We enjoyed a magical 12-day road trip around central Greece with Nikos (founder and orchestrater), as a family of four with kids aged 8 and 9.

From the very beginning, Nikos was incredibly thorough in understanding our wishes, preferences, pet peeves, and even our fears—ensuring every detail was tailored just for us. After a couple of Zoom calls, Nikos crafted an itinerary that perfectly balanced exciting activities, unique experiences, and plenty of downtime to relax and embrace serendipity—all while staying well within our budget.

The destinations Nikos introduced us to were genuine hidden gems—bespoke and unlike anything you’ll find on typical itineraries online / portray of greece on social media. In many places, we encountered no other tourists and often no locals either, which made the experience feel truly private, exclusive, and luxurious.

One standout day was going up the mountains for river trekking in crystal clear streams with frogs and tadpoles. The area was 10 degrees cooler than the seaside, We took our time to frolicking under the stunning waterfall at the end of the trail and then heading to a private home with a lovely garden full of blossoming flowers and produce for a traditional greek meal.

Even when visiting a few popular historical sites, Nikos arranged for top-notch, specialized guides who brought the history to life with inspiring stories and deep knowledge. Plus, he expertly scheduled visits to avoid crowds and the harsh midday sun, making every moment comfortable and memorable. For example, at the Delphi site, our guide Penny connect ancient poems with the landscape we saw on the site. She also taught us how to decipher the word DRAGON on one of the ancient stone carving... connecting us with the past in a fascinating way.

What truly sets Nikos apart is his flexibility, his wide range of interests (signing, guitar, outdoor activities etc etc) and his wonderful way of engaging with children, which made traveling with our kids so much easier and more enjoyable. We also appreciated the comfort and convenience of the spacious vehicle with a fridge and large trunk!

Additionally, Nikos surprised us with local delicacies to try during our stops, detouring through rural villages where shephard dogs herd goats around our vehicle.... adding a magical touch to our journey.

Nikos is simply amazing. He curated a perfect one-day trip for us near Kiato, tailored exactly to our preferences — a mix of nature and food. We started the day at a peaceful lake and waterfall, something you wouldn’t usually expect from Greece, but it was a beautiful surprise.

Next, we had a wine tasting in the Nemea region, where Nikos personally knew the winemaker — making the whole experience extra smooth and warm. Later, we visited Nafplio, the old capital of Greece, with its charming port-town vibe.

Since we're foodies, Nikos also brought us to a small grocery store showcasing products from local farmers. The owners were lovely, offering us a tasting of cheeses, dried fruits, and biscuits, and sharing the stories behind them.

Nikos is incredibly organized, thoughtful, and truly passionate about crafting meaningful experiences. His deep local knowledge and wide network made this day unforgettable. Highly recommended!

An Unforgettable 25th Anniversary in Greece Thanks to Nikos!

My wife and I just returned from the most amazing trip to Greece to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! We worked directly with Nikos to plan the perfect 10-day itinerary and he exceeded our expectations!

We visited four regions, Athens, Peloponnese, Naxos, and Santorini, and each one was unique and memorable. Nikos did such an amazing job of understanding what we enjoy while traveling - a mix of history, nature, great food, and unique local experiences. He planned the perfect balance of activities and downtime and even sprinkled in some special surprises for our anniversary. One night, he arranged for a group of local musicians to play traditional instruments and shared the history of the music. It was so special! He also found us incredible local guides in each region who were true experts.
Everything about the trip was perfect and we can't wait to return to Greece!

My boyfriend and I recently embarked on an incredible adventure throughout the breathtaking Peloponnese, meticulously organized by the exceptional Greekly-team. We went on an interesting mushroom-hunting expedition, did some beautiful hikes in the mountains and explored the ancient wonders of Nafplio, Epidauros and Mycenea.
As a dedicated vegan, the local taverns curated by Nikos from Greekly never failed to astound us with their delectable array of vegan delicacies. Nikos showed me around the Corinthia region and it was such a unique experience! My favourite part was that he always offered helpful tips about every location and showed me many hidden gems. I also liked how he explained different options to me, so I could choose where I want to go and knew exactly what kind of experience to expect. Last but not least, I enjoyed our conversations and learning all the new information from history and mythology to everyday life, culture or nature. It wasn't limited to the area we visited, and he gave me some helpful tips and ideas for future travels.

This trip to the Zagori region was unforgettable. The organizer took the time to understand my preferences and interests prior to the trip and showed honest interest in creating unique experiences. It offered the perfect blend of cultural and gastronomic immersion in the region, combined with physical activities such as swimming in crystal-clear mountain spring water and hiking through breathtaking landscapes of gorges and mountains. One of the standout moments for me was savoring the most delicious and freshest ribs I have ever had in my life. It was a well-deserved treat after a challenging hike. The location was nestled beneath the majestic shade of a plane tree in a picturesque, ancient stone village.

Although I've been on several trips with Nikos for many years, this was my first time to join a Greekly's tour. The first time that I saw the evolution of his 10years experience of organizing trips, as well as his multi-thematic concept. It was a very unique 5days trip to North Greece, a place with pure landscapes and numerous hidden gems. The trip had 'everything': easy hiking to a forest filled with fresh snow, slow time to a hot outdoor waterfall (from the best things I have ever experienced!), accommodation to a traditional guesthouse with local and handmade ingredients for breakfast and a very helpful hotelier, wine tasting with top quality biodynamic wines in a state of the art winery, day trip to a mystical landscape with a lake and some frozen waterfalls, private live music with brass instruments and the local music of the region (Balkan style), as well as seasonal, local and extremely tasty meals. Last but not least: although the trip was not 'kids friendly', the activities and the escort had a friendly and gentle way, making them always feel welcome to join, so they also had a nice time. I also enjoyed the company of the other participants: it seemed like they knew why they choose this company and how to find the special things in life, being away from the mainstream trips. I'd totally recommend Greekly to anyone seeking these small quality details who can make a huge difference.

The Greekly Team are pros: they take you to the nicest places in Greece and do so with extreme professionalism and care. They created a program that took us swimming to 3 different locations in the Peloponnese all in one day but without getting tiring at all. The program was suitable for people of all ages and such was our group. Our local guide took us to some amazing secret locations and a waterfall! I have been on other activities with them and the quality has always been top notch. Highly recommended.

The way we experienced the seawater lake of Mesologhi, through its productive activities, makes this trip one of my most memorable journeys. The cultural aspect of the trip, the visit to Ancient Plevrona and the guided historical walk inside the city’s “Hero Park”, allowed the city Mesologhi to fully emerge in our minds both as living space and as trans-temporal web of human interactions. The trip’s crescendo, the traditional carnival event “Alevromoutzouromata” in the beautiful neoclassical city of Galaxidi, was a very inspired choice on the part of the organisers. Last, not not least, the final touch, a dip in the Damasta mineral baths on the way back home, cannot be praised enough. Crowning everything, it must not be omitted that the trip was kids-friendly and as we know happy kids = relaxed parents!

Very original trips to beautiful locations, away from the beaten path. The excursion plan was carefully made to include diverse activities to cover all tastes, while taking in account the distinctive characteristics and culture of the area we visited. So, prepare to dive in hot waterfalls in the mountains, take part in local festivities and of course meet interesting people who also like "different" holidays.

This was my first time join a Greekly's tour. I still remember the warm energy of the organizer (Nikos) and the nice company from the other participants. We went for mild hiking with a spectacular sea view, above the cosmopolitan city of Loutraki and we couldn't stop shooting amazing photos from the amazing landscape! We also went to the thermal spa of Loutraki, which was a very cool idea after the hike. I enjoyed many types of hydromassage to my body and my skin became totally smooth. I also had a very unique local meal with special greek recipes, in a hidden 'taverna' with beautiful decoration and cool music. I liked the owner and his warm welcome to his place. The highlight of the trip, though, was the music event: Greekly's had arranged a live with a guy who was playing 'τσαμπούνα' (a greek bagpipe) and singing naughty songs, related to the traditional customs of that period all over Greece. I felt quite lucky to be in this private event with a person who is (as I found out later) from the best in Greece!
