Absolutely zero response to help…

Absolutely zero response to help request.
I tried to change my password but it won't let me. Just says some details could not be updated. No help or information as to what the issue is. Tried to contact the help service and was told to complete a form (which was not shown on any of their help pages) or reply to the email. Replied to the email, no response. Completed the form, no response. Replied to automatic emails and again no response.
What a useless service.

gmx are hellish. no support

not using gmx for any more sign ups

keep away from gmx, if you get a problem they will not help you

Zero customer service

Three weeks now since I was locked out of my account for "irregular activity". No response, acknowledgement or assistance whatsoever, but of course they have all my contacts. Draw your own conclusions and avoid.

No-one's answering technical queries

I still haven't resolved my problem. Having been scammed I have been instructed to change my email password as a matter of urgency. Unfortunately no matter how hard or how often I try, their website will not accept any new password I try to enter i assume therefore there is a technical problem.
It took me hours to find their online query form as there doesn't appear to be any phone number or email for them. I have sent 3 urgent forms asking for help or even an idea of when I might hear something.
Why won't someone tell me anything?

Nothing but trouble with Passwords
Works out for a few weeks then for no apparant reason the PW fails - I have the Thunderbird on 2 laptops and both show the same current PW
So how can I, log-in online with the PW but it fails on the emailing program - Ridiculous
To change the PW you have to insert your existing PW, but that doesn`t work, you are stuck
So you have to resort to filling a form to GMX to request a reset, which could take days to receive, but thats no guarantee it will ever turn-up
Had enough, moving to another program

Unsafe and cost me money

I used GMX as my main email address for years, and then one day they allowed my cyberstalker access to my account and locked me out, giving him access to lots of my private information and my girlfriend's home address. Now the account has been locked permanently and they won't let me back into it, which has cost me hundreds in lost accounts, games, etc. Avoid, and if you're the data protection services, please investigate.

God help us all

GMX let me set up a new account. I used the address for an important application that was not controversial. They then randomly suspended access on unspecified security grounds (I am guessing because I logged in from from 2 different devices?). It has been many hours and clearly nobody is going to respond to the help request. There is no help centre. Nobody is coming. We are in hell. We all died waiting for GMX to respond. But they will never come.

The real GMX?

Worked great for years. Now all my email has disappeared from my inbox. Notified GMX who sent me a form! I filled up the form. No response. The moral of the story seems to be GMX works great so long as there are no problems.

GMX delete your account after 6 months

GMX kindly delete your account after 6 months if you don't log into it, so if after 6 months of inactivity you forget your password on a site associated with that account, you won't be able to send the password reminder there which causes a load of headaches. Stay away from GMX. Who deletes your account without telling you?

Thanks to GMX monumentally dumb process of now kicking you from your email and making you sign in again, multiple times, I find my password doesn't work and I can't get in. Is GMX that dumb?! Don't they know that the most vulnerable time for an email account is logging in? That's when keyloggers and hackers get your password. They can't hack and log in if you are already logged in! Keep kicking you gives them multiple chances to hack. Their 'customer care' is as useful as a chocolate fireguard in a heatwave! My cat is more helpful to me! They don't care if it means your accounts needing access to your email, banking, paypal, ebay etc get put at risk because of their rank stupidity. I've wasted years using them. Totally amateurish and DUMB! Irresponsible and unprofessional!

GMX blocked my account for several weeks for no reason

I've had a free GMX email account for about 15 years and up to recently I was happy with it. Then, about a month ago I encountered a small technical problem with using GMX. It didn't stop me using the main thing, sending and receiving email. It just stopped me generating "alias" addresses which I previously had no problem with. So I created a support ticket requesting GMX investigate this problem. To my absolute astonishment, within 24 hours of creating this ticket my access to GMX email was totally blocked causing me a disaster with my being unable to use the GMX system. However, they didn't bother to inform me the reason for blocking my account. 
I spent the following couple weeks contacting them asking as to why they had wrecked my access to email. Their responses were totally unacceptable and basically lies, claiming they had no idea at all why my account had been blocked and they needed significant time to investigate why my account had been blocked. For the next couple of weeks or so these lies went on causing me disaster in my life being unable to read or send mail though GMX. 
Finally, a few days ago, I discovered they had unblocked my account but again without bothering to inform me. So I once again asked them (as I had done numerous times over the weeks) as to why they had blocked my account and why they had suddenly unblocked and refused to give me a reason either.
Finally a couple of days ago they stated the reason for the block was that the first staff member who viewed my ticket decided to instantly block my account. Apparently one alias name I had tried to add was unacceptable to them. They have refused to tell me which alias name or names it was. Certainly any alias names I would ever create (or have ever created) wouldn't contain foul language or any similar things. Now, even though they have finally unblocked my main account, they have actually blocked my ability to create or use alias names. As has been their usual practice, so far they have refused to tell me what alias names were unacceptable.Their usual practice is kicking in of deliberately withholding key information from me.

So the bottom line for me is to warn people that GMX appear to have a lot of corrupt staff who may decide to arbitrarily block customers from using GMX email refusing to give reason for weeks and leaving the block on for a totally unacceptable time. Anyone using (or thinking of using) GMX should beware of them. If nothing else, I suggest GMX users have available an alternative email provider to give them at least some ability to use email if GMX abruptly block their account the for weeks and refuse to give a reason.

Useless customer service!

I have used GMX for a long time. First in Germany and in the UK for the last 8 years. In the last couple of weeks, I've been able to lock in to my two accounts, but cannot open, send or manage my emails. The support page doesn't open up very often, and when I was able to contact them, they sent me emails - which I couldn't open! I'll be switching to a new provider.

GMX routinely block legitimate mail

GMX routinely block legitimate incoming email due to some over-zealous mailchannels 554 rule - even when you have emailed the person and they reply! How can that possibly be spam?? Go to GMX UK website and see if you can contact them. The 'help and support area' link goes to a 'not found' page. They say 'we'd love you feedback' simply go to 'contact us' and select 'feedback'. needless to say there is no contact us link. If you want to miss important emails, sign up to GMX.

I agree with many others - avoid them

I agree with many others. I was cut off and charged with "abuse". I've hardly used it, just set it up "in case" a few years ago. Then my present I.P.'s email went down the tubes for three days and I decided to use it. I only switched one recipient (Tesco -hardly a black site!) and that was it. Customer service of gmx refuse to divulge any detail and accuse me of "abuse". I was told that I was blocked and that was it. Quite extraordinary! Avoid them or regret it.

used GMX for 15 years and today was locked out then a german page kept appearing using google translate followed the instructions (another login page)
simply sends me round and round in circles
very disappointed in a service I've used as my MAIN email for years, I have no idea what to do I have contacted GMX but heard nothing, should they deem to contact me and sort it I will amend my review
