Terrible Experience with their Accounting Service

I signed up for accounting services with this company, they specialized in nonprofits. Matt Tengtrakool was very convincing. I paid $550 per month for our charity's bookkeeping. What a disaster. They had their own system, which I did not want to use because all of my books were in Quickbooks, where any accountant could access them. Proprietary systems are a big red flag for me. Matt assured me that we could keep Quickbooks and it would integrate with his system. I signed up in August. In March, my books were still not completed for 2024 and I did not know, but they did not file an extension with the IRS for our return, that is customary just in case filing is late. They did not do that. I trusted that everything would be completed on time. In March, Matt closed down the accounting business with no warning, nothing and he would not respond to repeated calls or emails. I did not get anything that I was promised. No reports, no accounts had been reconciled, I'm not sure what they did but spend our money. Based on my experience and the way we were treated, I would not recommend doing business with this company. Clearly they have no care nor respect for clients, as long as they get their payments, that is all they care about.
