Blaenavon Christmas Steam Train

Blaenavon Christmas Steam Train
Everything was very professionally organised and my grandson who is three enjoyed it but from an adult’s point of view it was expensive for the experience. I chose the last trip of the day because I expected the carriages to be lit up with fairy lights etc but they weren’t therefore it was a drab experience. The presents of the bear and book were happily received as was the gingerbread biscuit and drink. One mince pie for the adults smacked of ‘Scrooge’ 😳
Next year I’ll spend the money on a light trail experience and visit Santa separately.

Wonderful Experience on the Flying Scotsman
What a brilliant day we had on the Flying Scotsman with Fox and Edwards. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organised and stress-free. The representative who greeted us was friendly, welcoming, and full of knowledge about the journey ahead. The train itself was stunning, and the atmosphere on board was lovely, you could really feel the excitement from everyone.
We had a mix of ages in our group, and every single one of us had a great time. The scenery was breathtaking, and the commentary throughout the trip made it even more special. Thank you to everyone at Fox and Edwards for such a memorable day, we cannot thank you enough

Amazing trip on the Flying Scotsman

We rode on the Flying Scotsman from Grosmont to Pickering and back as a treat for my dads 75th birthday.

What an amazing experience, the Fox and Edwards representative met us on the platform, checked us in, explained the day, where our carriage was etc.

The scenery was amazing, to be pulled by the Flying Scotsman was amazing, the lady from Fox and Edwards who accompanied us on the journey was attentive, enthusiastic, she told us about Hogsmead Station from The Philosophers Stone film on the route.

Grosmont station itself was wonderful, plenty to see and keep us interested, car parking was a bit tight but the Flying Scotsman’s was there so it was to be expected and to be fair that is totally out of the control of Fox and Edwards.

All in all a wonderful experience, we will definitely be using Fox and Edwards again

Excellent Day out

Today Fox and Edward’s hosted us on the Flying Scotsman, it was fabulous. We were greeted on the platform by the wonderful staff who were kind approachable and most importantly very entertaining. They kept us well informed of the journey, what to expect, where to go and what was going on it took all of the stresses out of the day. The hostess on board kept us well entertained throughout the journey keeping us updated with facts and reasonings to why we were stopping and starting. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will be returning to another event by then in the future!

Our “steam train experience” with Fox &…

Our “steam train experience” with Fox & Edward’s was a total letdown. Boarding was late, the table and cabin were filthy, and no cutlery or bag was provided. Condiments were offered only after we’d finished eating, and the events manager was rude throughout.

This was meant to be a special birthday treat for my elderly mother, but it turned into a stressful, unpleasant day. After two emails expressing my concerns and receiving no empathy or resolution, I can only warn others to avoid this company.

Very disappointing Gruffalo event and no response to complaints

We attended the Gruffalo Train Event organised by Fox & Edwards Events, and the whole experience was deeply disappointing.

The event was marketed as “a day of fun and storybook magic”, but it was nothing of the sort. The train ran almost an hour late, staff were unhelpful, and the “meet and greet” with the Gruffalo lasted only seconds for a rushed photo. There was no storytelling, no theming, and no atmosphere at all.

We paid over £130 for what was basically a delayed train ride that could have cost a third of the price elsewhere. My little boy had been so excited to meet the Gruffalo, but he left confused and disappointed.

After the event, I contacted Fox & Edwards several times by email to raise my concerns politely and give them a fair chance to respond. Weeks later, I have still not received a meaningful reply.

The complete lack of customer care has been as disappointing as the event itself. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Fox & Edwards Events to anyone expecting value for money or professional customer service.
